Posada y Cabañas El Barranco

Everything was great (5/5), except the bed, which was sulking on one side. Should have been checked before checking us in. Were tired after the hike to change rooms. Cabin had kitchen, and included good breakfast. Staff was very friendly and gave useful suggestions for hikes, food and activities around.

Room: clean at first look, but on second look there are spiders and bugs at different parts of the room. In addition, the room is poorly designed with no hooks for towels and no space for basic storage. Service: staff friendly, but the place doesn't provide free coffee and tea. With the price they charge and a 3-star hotel status, I consider it bad service when there is no free coffee and tea. Location: one block off the main road, rocky and muddy road. This is a very very small town, there is no bad location for any lodging.

I should have stayed here but opted for a cheaper hotel -- a mistake. Mine didn't have internet. When I went to the Posada, a young woman with brown hair offered me (a non guest) a an outside barbecue room with internet from which I could teach a class back to the US -- at no cost and with no reservation. Amazing! And my friends and i admired the common room and grounds...wish we'd stayed here!

This hotel was really cute - very tiny and a tight fit for the three of us, but they had a really good breakfast and a facility outside the main hotel for heating water and other things. The manager was really helpful with guiding us on the Laguna de los tres hike and the other nice places in the area both for hiking and eating.

Rooms were nice, clean. The free breakfast each morning is great, and the staff were so helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Good value for the price. Very cozy and not too far from the Main Street. A simple breakfast was provided the day before. A few things weren’t working right (batteries dead) but our host was very quick to communicate and provide what we needed.

The place it’s very nice, comfortable, the staff it’s outstanding!!! As soon as you checked whoever is at the reception, will give you a full information about trails, locations, distance, difficulty etc…. restaurants, grocery markets. They will help in everything that you need. They have cabins also and charcoal grills that you can book and do your own. There was a great experience staying. Highly recommended if you are planning for a hike trip…stay with them

The place it's nice. They have good service and the staff it's very kind. Sofia and Andrea were great. They also help us with the tours and tips, have a lot of knowledge of the trekking paths. And recomend us where to eat and by stuff. The breakfast was really nice and complete. The bad things, the shower was REALLY bad and they can not say that have WiFi, I even can not use WhatsApp. That was a really shame. The location of the place it's good for the trekking and food places.
