The hotel is great, with the rooms overlooking the jungle, comfy bed, nice shower, air con, fan.
A lovely restaurant is one minute walk, the beach is just outside. A good spot for snorkelling with plenty of fish.
If you need a store or anything else, you either need a bike or legs of steel. But it’s a place you can comfortably spend weeks if you’re stocked up with mosquito repellent and don’t mind 20% higher prices in the restaurant- which has an amazing view and great cuisine, one of the best Tom Yums I had on the island.
You might also need earplugs - at least at the rainy season, you get a free concert of bullfrogs that starts about 22 and ends about 2am. After the main performance ends, there’s typically a solo artist that continues for another hour or so.
So if you hear the weird “moo” sounds in the evening you now know what this is!
Make sure you have a mosquito repellent if going in the rainy season!
