If I could give less than one star, I would. I called ahead to make a reservation and I spoke directly with the front desk at Posh Hostel South Beach, who assured me that private rooms, including one with a balcony, were available. I was charged extra for this and booked in good faith. When I arrived, I discovered that there were no private rooms at all only a large dorm with about 55 people. I felt unsafe and uncomfortable, especially traveling with expensive equipment. I tried to get help from Posh Hostel South Beach, but they were unwilling to assist or recommend alternative accommodations. After hours of being stranded, I ended up walking about 35 minutes trying to find another hotel. Unfortunately, every place was fully booked, and I had to pay $200 for just a few hours at a different hotel. In the end, I never stayed at this property and am now seeking a refund due to the misleading information and the additional costs I incurred. Do yourself a favor: avoid booking here. I am very disappointed.

I’ve stayed here a few times on business trips. Incredible location, two blocks from the beach. Surrounded by excellent restaurants of all budgets and types. The staff works hard to please and is helpful, especially Isa who helped me find a quiet place to sleep. I will definitely stay here again. Great value and lots of interesting people.

When I came to this hotel, I was on bed 28 they told me and explained to me if you lose the key they keep the holding fee or the deposit. It was a girl i’m back 27 which they have bunk bag which is under bed 28 she had left in my back was hurting so I asked him can they place me on 27 they let me get on 27 I would there Dec 15th -27th I gave the man my key for bed 28 as I moved to 27. I never had the key for 27. They should have got it from the girl who was on 27. The man said it would be no problem because I had gave him my current key for 28 even though I was moving for 27 and he said he would process everything in the system. I don’t know if he did or not but they never answered the phone. They so unprofessional they sit at the desk, 24/7 so they should be able to pick up the phone I need my deposit and my holding fee or I’m going to sue this place because this is unacceptable , even when I talk to the man, he said he would make sure he put everything in the system. I don’t know if he did or not, but he was skinny tall. I think he was Mexican, and I know he had curly hair. I can’t remember or not but if I recall, I do think he had a beer and I think his name was Christian or something but either way these people is not doing they job I love two days ago and I still don’t have a deposit when a man made it clear it come back you get your deposit or you’re holding fee that same day within an hour so they need to send me my money. This place is unprofessional any dab all that clean if we’re being honest. Pretend I talk to somebody else that act like that I don’t know what’s going on. They keep on saying a manager will handle it but yeah it’s still been two days. I already had a car hotel 30 time before even arrive to my hotel and I still didn’t get no answer now that Lil I’m calling and calling her about my deposit nobody still not answering this Place is very unprofessional. . And when I was checking out when the woman she asked me for my key for 27 I told her I never had a key for 27 I was on 28th and that they just let me move to 27 and that I even gave them a key for 28 even check the key box it saying 28 was in there on top of it about time A man on 28 so after that, I don’t know what happened but I know I gave her my current key for the bed. I first was on 28. I never had to keep for 27 and I’m looking for my deposit or my holding fee because they don’t take this long, especially when since one this was supposed to be handled because the day the girl left who was on bed 27 he said he will handle everything that day, if a manager or something think this revealed then please get back to me because this is very unacceptable and I need my deposit/holding fee

Amazing experience, the best hostel in Miami. I stay here, every time, I visit South Beach. I have stayed alone as a female and felt safe. I have also traveled with a friend. The staff are so helpful, friendly, pleasant and extremely accommodating! 🔥 The rooftop patio, is stunning and the pool is AMAZING. The place is a 10/10 The beds are comfortable. There is a massive lock box, on each bed. There is a nice bar and restaurant attached and gorgeous courtyard. 😍 I always make really good friends, while staying at Posh. It is a 5 min walk from the Beach and the infamous Ocean Drive. My only 2 suggestions for improvement, that I would make, are: 1. To do some maintenance work, on the showers. They are outdated. The water flow is not good, there is barely any water pressure, some of them do not warm up. But this is pretty standard in almost all hostels, I've stayed in around the world. The hostel is still a 10/10. 2. The Shared common fridge, is really chaotic. It is so full, it is hard to close it, and to find your own items. You need to empty a large portion of it, onto the counter and hunt for your food and then repack it all again. If you can afford it, just eat out. Try not to be reliant on the hostel fridge. Lol Also, to foreign travelers staying here, on South Beach the Tip of 20% gratuity is already added to your food orders, automatically. It is built into the price of your bill. So when they hand you the Receipt for Swiping your credit card 💳 it is ONLY for you to Sign the Receipt, so they can charge your card. You have already tipped 20%. 😁 Just a friendly heads up. Also, all of the restaurants on Ocean Drive, are the most expensive. Go to restaurants and shops, located off of Ocean Drive for a reasonably priced meal. Thank you, to Posh Hostel, for a Wonderful Stay, as always - until next time! 🙏😁 ❤️ From 🇨🇦

She was extremely rude and unprofessional. We wanted to check out at 8:00 AM so we could walk around and have breakfast. She told us that checkout time was 11:00 AM and instructed us to come back later because the manager was not present and she “could not” place our luggage in storage. This made no sense, as on the day we checked in, we were allowed to leave our belongings there until check-in time. She then claimed that only the manager has the keys, yet said she did not know when the manager would arrive. As a result, we were forced to return to our room, keep our luggage there, and come back again at 11:00 AM to check out. I had left a straw bag and a life vest under the sofa, assuming it would be fine since they were inexpensive items. When I returned at 11:00 AM, they were gone. She saw me come in and sit down but said nothing about my belongings until I realized they were missing. When I asked about the items, she smiled and said, “You’re not allowed to leave things there,” without telling me where my belongings were. I had to repeatedly ask her to return them. Instead of explaining, she kept repeating "you cannot put it there" . At that point, it genuinely felt like my belongings could have been taken or thrown away. Her attitude throughout this interaction was dismissive and irritating. I then asked for a checkout receipt, as the hotel was holding our damage deposit. She said she did not have one. When I asked how I would know whether the deposit would be returned, she said she “didn’t know” and that they needed to check the beds first. I explained that most hotels have housekeeping inspect the room and return the deposit upon checkout, but she dismissed this and said, “That’s not how it works.” This raised serious concerns about transparency and trust. To make matters worse, while I was sitting quietly in the yard, she yelled that if I came back inside, she would charge me extra money. Threatening a guest like this is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I asked to speak to the manager. First, she said he was not there. Later, she said he was in a meeting. When I asked when he would be available, she said she didn’t know. If she is an employee, she should be fired. If she is the owner’s daughter, then this business has a serious problem. Ps: lots of people complain about her attitude in other reviews lololol 😂

Absolutely filthy - the mattresses were stained, and the sheets and pillow cases had dirty footprints on them. There was dirty underwear piled up in the bathroom. Would not recommend for women travelers at all. The front desk staff were great, but did not have the power to issue a refund and the hostel company we booked through wouldn't issue a refund either.

Isabella at the white claw hotel at the front desk entrance is truly amazing with her customer service for posh hostel. She always has a beautiful smile with her beautiful attitude when greeted. Never an attitude when asked questions or just need something in general.

Google
I wasn't thrilled at all with this place. The only two things that were good were the pool and the location. But if you want even the smallest amount of privacy, do NOT stay here. Everybody sleeps in the same room. It was hard to sleep with everyone walking around late at night and the beds weren't the most comfortable either. On top of that, the bathrooms and showers were quite dirty as well.

Yelp
I don't recommend to stay here. They gave me hard time. I paid Resort fee and 14% tax through agoda.com. When I arrived they started to ask me to pay $10 and 14% tax again. The stuff is not helpful and ignorant as well. I explained them that I already paid this fee through the booking agency. If you care about reviews here and customers you should try to help your guests to resolve such problem instead of ignoring and forcing to pay the fee again explaining it as it is additional fee. It is not. As you see it from other reviews the hotel knows that third party websites add Resort fee in the fine print and continue ignoring this problem. 0 stars.

Yelp
Posh is a complete scam. They cancel reservations, keep your money, and refuse to issue refunds. I booked a two-day stay for my brother, but due to their strict and unreasonable rules, he was unable to stay. Upon leaving, he was assured a refund, yet a week later, nothing. I contacted the third-party booking site (Booking.com), and despite multiple refund requests on my behalf, Posh has repeatedly denied them. I've called and emailed directly, only to be given the runaround. This hotel is run by unprofessional scammers--avoid it at all costs!

Yelp
I stayed there for couple of days just before super bowl, I booked my room online but they didint accept my credit card and pushed me to pay with my Turkis debit card, I was desperate so I paid second time even more , it's still ok till here, they charged (spouse to blocked) $50 for in case of a damage, and told me they will return in 2 days after I leave, but they never did it! I've been trying to reach to someone responsible since. (Email and phone As you can see at my pictures attached, they have not replied any of my emails or phone calls yet, They didn't return my money, and feel terrible to do this thing first thing in the morning This is not nice, I feel horrible Will never stay there again, waiting for an apology and my money !!!!

Yelp
Stayed at Posh in Spring 23. Nice people. Safe. Clean. A block from pool. Rooftop pool. Overall a good experience

Yelp
This place is disgusting, uncomfortable, and just unpleasant, the only "nice" thing about it was the pool. I checked out within 2 hours because I was too creeped out to spend the night

Yelp
I called your front desk on December 28th saying I will be late and my flight got canceled. And your front desk didn't not tell me on December 28th that you will cancel my reservation. you didn't email or call on December 29th you waited until I have to arrive and leave have no where to go ? Is this your best service your providing? And your reservation team was not helpful as well, I booked through hostel and they cannot even find my reservation? Then what's the point of booking it at all? Your reservation team said they will refund and send me a email today and now ? I have not received a email or the refund!!! Please just say sorry and refund is that so hard as a hospitality group? And replying me trying argue? So funny

Yelp
Posh Hostel: 0/10 - No matter how cheap it is, It will ruin your vacation if you can't get any sleep and you will be lucky to get more than 2 hours of sleep here. I stayed here two weeks and it was like living a nightmare. There are bathrooms on both ends of the hallway, and you can hear every flush, every person blowdrying their hair, everybody talking, every cell phone ringing and alarm clock in the room with 20 other people, it happened all the time. I used earplugs and sleep medication, but it was still incredibly loud. There was always someone coming in at midnight, 1am, 2am, 3am, 4am, waking everyone up every single night. I met several guests that checked in then checked out the same day, I wanted to the same but could not get a refund. Cleanliness: 0/10 : This place smells rotten of bacteria and fecal matter. They have inadequate ventilation, especially when you have 20 people in one room it gets bad. instead they use these dispensers that smell of alcohol like purell so the place smells musky and disgusting. Many people kept coughing and got sinus infections from the conditions here. Amenities -5/10: The pool was freezing and nobody used it the entire time I was there. The happy hours were cancelled and rescheduled multiple times when I was there. Breakfast 2/10: 6 Loaves of bread and cereal, nothing healthy. The milk served was PAST DUE! Most guests were woken up so often during the night they slept into the afternoon and missed breakfast. Conclusion: STAY AWAY: This is the worst hostel I've ever stayed at, and one of the most expensive wastes of money. No matter how cheap it is, It will ruin your vacation if you can't get any sleep and you will be lucky to get more than 2 hours of sleep here uninterrupted.

Yelp
Warning don't waste your money in this hostel. Extremely disrespectful employees and manager. You try to sleep the employees at 8am are arguing with each other extremely loud. They have employee's painting at 9am while you sleep, there is mold on the ceilings the shower area stinks like shit n mold mix together. The manager is extremely rude. Don't be fooled by the pictures they put on their site, this place is a shit show. And when you have to check out they are kicking you out and being rude extremely rude. Most European n South Americans that check in won't say anything because of the language barrier. Oh yea the towels are dirty as well the one I got had shit stains I complained about it they said it was just stains when they wash it that won't off lolol

Yelp
Haha! Glad to see others who were disgusted by the place! What an absolute shit hole! I'm not even going to bother with a description. I emailed them - after voicing my concerns to the staff at the time of my stay - and no one gave a shit. DO NOT STAY HERE! I forfeited a night's pay just to get the fuck out of there, and ended-up paying $125.00 for one night at a neighboring hotel on the beach with 2 pools. Totally worth it! The pics online are from when the place was brand new. Now it's run down, dirty, homeless people sleeping there, no stove, backed-up showers... Shame on them!!!

Yelp
I could not be happier with my stay! The location was AMAZING! The staff was very accommodating and the pool was incredible. I will stay here every time. The best part of a hostel is that you get to meet people from all over the world! The vibe is great! Its quite too, so you can get some shut eye!

Yelp
I stayed at the Posh hostel between 09/18/15 and 09/20/15 for a short vacation over the weekend. I had a great time on the beach and in Miami in general but a lot of unpleasant memories come to mind when I recall the hostel I stayed at. I choose it because I relied on the misleading reviews I read here. The whole place had a weird vibe to it, the entrance is unmarked and in an alley and through a keypadded door. Up an elevator and then through another locked door that you need a card for. Unisex showers and bathrooms BTW, no biggie I guess. That along with the 11:30 curfew, and the no guests allowed made the place feel more like a summer camp/ prison than a Hostel. There was no communal feel to the place. From there it was downhill. Amazing how no matter what things can always get worse, right? My friend and I saw cockroaches on the floor, and found one in a shoe. The bathroom stalls next to our bunks were too small to close the door when sitting (I'll attach a picture). The hand rail to the pool was broken and severely rusted ( 2nd picture). Not a big deal but overly dilapidated indeed. But worst of all I feel I was scammed out of the $50 deposit they make you pay, one way or another. The morning of checkout I couldn't find my key to the locker. I looked everywhere but couldn't find it so I talked to Monica at the reception. She said they would have to cut the lock and that I would lose the deposit. So they cut the lock, I got my stuff and went back to check out and Monica was holding the missing key. She said that it was in the front desk the whole time and that a maid turned it in earlier. She said because they had it the whole time, I wouldn't lose the deposit. 5 minutes later she called over to me, and said that she would end up charging me the deposit, despite having already taking responsibility for not remembering a key was found. Look elsewhere.

Yelp
First time staying in a hostel!! I booked my stay online. When I got to the given address I saw an abandoned building :o...after freaking out that I was scammed (most guests thought the same thing), I went next door to the Whitelaw hotel-that's where you check in. The hostel itself is nice enough. It is cleaned everyday. There is also a night time security guard that comes through at night to make sure everything is fine. *Staff was very friendly. *Breakfast-I'm gluten-free, so I really couldn't eat it. It's very basic: toast, cereal, frozen canned oj and some fruit. *Pool is very nice! *Location is great. A couple blocks from the beach. *Happy hour-weak rail drinks, but GREAT conversation! There were people from all around the world staying in the hostel. Everyone was very friendly. People are on different sleep schedules, so bring ear plugs and an eye mask if you want to get a good nights sleep!! Overall, I would definitely stay again. You can't beat the price!

Johanna R.

Yelp
I enjoyed my stay at Posh. For what you're paying, I thought it was great. Things are fairly clean (not the cleanest but 6-7/10). Some of the showers do smell like they have mold festering. I don't think they clean the drawers out after each use and sometimes the sheets and towels would have dirty marks on them. But they have ladies that clean every day. Guys that do any necessary maintenance around the hostel, and there's usually always someone at the front desk to assist you with whatever you need and help monitor the entry. In terms of privacy, I felt secure about no strangers coming in. The hostel entry is tucked away and you have to go through a series of secured entrances. Whether they change the pin often or not was a question in my mind. But aside from that, you never know who you're staying with in these situations so of course there's that factor of safety. Just be aware and take care of yourself. They don't allow Florida residents to stay. There are many different people from different parts of the world. During my stay, all seemed very friendly. Cleaned up after their selves. So I can't complain. Anita at the front desk really feels like the mom of the hostel. She makes you feel taken care of and has loads of great advice to give! There were a couple of situations with needing to move beds, but they were as accommodating and quick as possible. They want to hear you out. It was nice having a pool as well. Only complain really is that you can't cook there! But there's a target and trader joes nearby where a lot of the more money cautious guests bought groceries. The fridge gets tight so keep that in mind but there's loads of storage space for groceries in the cabinets! Also they have washer + drier which is amazing. Quarter machine doesn't work so be advised. Managers Lee and Alex are super welcoming and hands on!! They're very fast to amend any situation. I felt better knowing they were in charge. Also you're literally one street away from the beach and one street away from the bus, so that's great. By bus 20-30 minutes to downtown, museums, Brickell, Bayside. All in all, I am very satisfied with what you get for what you pay. If you are sensitive to sounds and commotion throughout the day this will be a major adjustment from you. There is music playing in the restaurant below the hostel almost all day and night. I didn't mind, but this could be something to consider! They provide drawers and locks to store your things. Well protected. They'll try to accommodate women in a private room, but not guaranteed. And they also have computers and free wifi. Highly recommend this stay if you're easy going and don't want to spend much money on a place to keep your things and sleep! Keep in mind, if you leave early for whatever reason and made your reservation through Booking.com (or even through the hostel, I guess) they won't return your money!

Yelp
Great stay so far, everyone at front desk has been very helpful and other guest very cordial! Had a great night sleep and looking forward to the rest of my stay. A few tips would be get a bottom bunk if possible and grab food or drink from local surrounding shops and stores. Overall Posh has been great so far and I look forward to coming back.

Yelp
I am going to make this as detailed as a review as I can for the future travelers thinking of staying here. This place has goods and bads, but I understand that for the price you are paying, nothing is going to be four stars. I am going to work you through piece by piece here. First, let's start off with finding the Hostel. The address for the hostel is the building that has the sleeping areas, pool and common room/kitchen. Where you check in is in a different building. Check in is in the building to the left that from the outside looks like a cafe. When you check in you will be given a key card and a code for the elevator door. When you are done checking in you will either be escorted upstairs or meet someone at the top where you will be given a tour and run down of the hostel. Second, The Kitchen - Common Room - Laundry Yep there is a coin operated laundry behind a mysterious curtain if you need to clean your clothing. The Common Room has a long comfy couch and a large screen TV. There are some books about if you want to do some reading. The Kitchen... This is somewhere I am disappointed with. The photos on the website show a nice modern kitchen with stove top, two dishwashers, a wine cooler, common fridge and a microwave. You cannot see in the photos but I would assume that under the stove top would be an oven. THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU GET!!! AKA The photos are either outdated or fabricated. The kitchen consists of a large countertop with a double well sink and a broken faucet. The faucet should have a sprayer arm function and a regular pour spout. The pour spout is broken and only the sprayer arm function works. It takes you a little bit to figure this out. It's not the end of the world but should be an easy fix. The stovetop/oven have been removed and replaced with built-in counter extender so they could fit an extra two microwaves in. Yep, that is right, all the hostel has for cooking is three microwaves. Not very POSH if you ask me. The two dishwashers... Well they are either broken like the signs that have been there for some time state or the management does not want you to use them so they put up signs stating the dishwashers are broke. Honestly there are not that many dishes to wash. There is 1 cup to share, a couple of plates and dishes, and maybe enough flatware for 6 people. The Pool. It's a pool. It's cold, nice and refreshing. There are chairs and pillows scattered about for you to lounge on. There is nothing to bad here. Leaving the upstairs you wander down into the bunks. There are 100 bunks I guess. One room must have 50 bunks in it. There is a small room with around 10 bunks and another room with 20. That does not = 100 I know but I don't know where the rest are. Unless there is another dorm. If you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you. There is alway someone awake and wandering around. There is often drunk people screaming and stumbling about. Because we are all together if there are people having sex in their beds you hear everything. There is no sound proofing anywhere. Everything echos. Now if you are a heavy sleeper like myself, then there is no issue. If you have an issue with smells, this is not the place for you. 20+ people sleeping together creates smells. And on top of it there are air fresheners that are scattered about that auto spray scents to keep the bad smells down. But if you do not like artificial scents then this is a bad place for you. You are sleeping with 20+ people though so what do you expect. The Bathrooms: There are two bathrooms. The larger one is nicer when it comes to #1&#2. The stalls are the right size. The sinks are spread apart and nice to use. There are hair dryers at every station and an ironing board that you can use. The showers here though have issues. There is so much hard water here that the showers are clogged up and just kinda spit out the water. The heads either need to be changed or soaked in CRL. On the other side of the dorms there is another bathroom area. The shitters here though are a joke. The doors are so close to the toilets that there is no way you could sit down and use them. I have a hard time standing up to pee in them with the door closed. You have to stand off to the side and that is a strange way to pee. The showers here as well are all clogged up. They are better then the showers down the hall but still suck to clean yourself under. There are three bathing suit spin dryers about to get you swim wear suitable to put in your area. Coming and going. There is a back staircase. Make sure you find it. It is the easiest way to come and go from the hostel. The beds. They come with clean sheets, pillow, comforter, pillow case, towel. Each bed has a HUGE locker. And every bed has a battery powered grill light for night time. It's nice to have a personal lamp. You can exchange dirty towels at the desk. For $33 bucks a night and 2 blocks from the beach... I'd stay here again.

Yelp
Just got back from my stay at the Posh Hostel. I was a solo traveler staying at a U.S. based hostel for the first time. For the price, location and cleanliness of communal areas (during the day), breakfast, I gave four stars. Keep in mind, I'm also a low maintenance/solo traveler. I booked my stay via their website because the price was cheaper compared to others, but keep in mind when doing so the stay was non-refundable. Depending on where your bunk is located, the space is quite loud due to other guests staying up late partying; there are no doors to close the large sleeping area from the staircase/communal space upstairs. I'd suggest bringing earplugs/eye mask for sleeping. Also, during my stay there were some questionable guests whom I thought lived in the hostel. Some guests were more friendlier/cleanlier than others. I definitely compliment the women on the cleaning staff for their hard work. I've sadly witnessed a variety of bodily liquids in the bathrooms at night. I've heard from guests that I was with that a plus about the Posh compared to others in the area was the pool and that locks are provided; I was planted at the beach for the most part, but I'm grateful for the lock as I was able to keep my important items safe. I would stay here again, but will make special requests to have an even better experience the next time.

Yelp
Needed a quick and cheap place to stay for a single night, I researched a lot of local hostels and I chose Posh because of the grand reviews. I was very impressed with how CLEAN, orderly, and conveniently located to the bars/nightlife. The staff was friendly and informative through out my evening and I was even allowed to chose the dorm room I was able to stay (and was less crowded than the rest). Breakfast, the happy hour next door, FREE locker, and the air port shuffle were the best incentives to my stay. I had a great time conversing and drinking with my fellow travelers, definitely attracts kind and welcoming folks. If you are looking for an affordable and prime location for South Beach I would highly recommend checking out Posh. Thank you so much for the fabulous service, would book again but a longer stay!

Yelp
I am not sure how anyone could give this hostel any sort of negative review. For the "tourists" who keep booking here and then writing negative review, please stop. This is a hostel not a 4/5 star hotel in south beach. So if you're a traveler like me, here's what you need to know. Location: the best in south beach. You can not beat it. It is right in the middle of the action and one block from beach. You don't need a car and can walk everywhere. Cleanliness. This place is spotless. The wonderful cleaning lady seriously did not stop cleaning. I wanted to tell her to take a break. Lol. Pool. Perfect. Seriously what hostel has a pool like this? And it's never to busy. At least when I was there. Staff. Super friendly and fun. Again it's not a 5 star resort. So don't expect a cocktail when you arrive. Also, it's a small boutique hostel and hotel. They do not have tons of employees to wait on you. So relax, you're in vacation. * check in says 3 so don't complain when you can't check in early, like everyone I saw. I arrived early and they gave me a nice beach bag that had large beach towels. I changed in their bathroom and went to beach all day. That's all I needed. * they don't have toiletries... Bc again, it's a hostel. lol. What do people expect. Bring your own. They do have blow dryers, iron board, and a full kitchen. *yes you need to make your bed. But again it's a hostel for 3x the price as the other hotels on Miami Beach. Who cares. It takes a few minutes. They give you a large drawer for you stuff with a paddle lock. Lock it so nothing happens to your stuff. If you don't lock it, don't blame them. Duh Happy hour: free every day from 7-8. It's free so don't expect top shelf or fancy drinks. Why would you expect that?! And PlEASE tip... cheapos. I will never understand how people don't tip. Oh and be nice and wait patiently. Bartender is super fun. Have fun with him. Free shuttle: yes, something else for free that this company offers. Every hour to and from the airport. Amazing. I had so much fun here. I was never in my bed so it didn't bother me that there are more than your average bed in one room. * I will say that if you plan to sleep all day this is not the place for you. Lots of people are up early and coming and going. This didn't bother me. But this is not the hostels fault, it's rude people. My only suggestion for this wonderful gem is to put more outlets or usbs on the beds. It was hard to keep phone charged from being out all day and nowhere to charge at night. Thank you Posh and South Beach group. You are amazing.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the stay at this Hostel. It is my first Hostel experience, and I will definately return. Everyone, from the guests to the staff was very respectful. The noice level was kept to a minimal, and everyone respected each other's privacy. The pool is in a perfect spot on the roof top. The Hostel is located precisely in the center of South Beach and minutes away from the Beach. Dare if you can. It is an experience that not everyone can be comfortable with. I enjoyed my stay. The price per night is reasonable.

Yelp
Awesome location, a few steps away from Victorias Secret, Armani, Zara, DASH, next to Banana Republic. Very clean place, there are a couple of rules that may sound crazy at first but once you are there you understand why they are so strict. It is a good place to stay for a couple of days, literally just a couple. There is no privacy at all. People get up very early for breakfast and it is almost impossible to sleep till noon. Other than that, it is a relly good place. You get to meet people for all around the world so you can say is a very friendly place. Pool is cool to chill out. Be on time for the complementary happy hour!! Free shuttle from and to the airport: HELL! That shuttle is a NO! No AC and no windows in a 100 degrees weather!! worst idea ever. Better take an uner instead! Great experience in general, looking forward to be there again next summer.

Yelp
Bugs, dirt, poor service, beach chairs over a mile away: this hotel has it all. The seven stalls leave six inches of legroom when seated on the toilet, which is not enough for a 5'9" person. The doors also close like French doors, so if you can't fit your knees, you won't get it closed. The showers don't leave a changing area, so you actually can't get from shower to changing ( no where to put or hang clothes in the shower) without being naked at some point. I saw women showering in bathing suits instead. I didn't get a towel when I arrived. I got it the next day and was never able to exchange it. They said they would do it, but it never happened. The towels were tiny. The lockers lock without the key, so very possible to get the key stuck inside. Just for opening the locker, there is a $50 charge, which I did receive. It was loud, because this is all one floor plan with a setup as if three rooms, but you walk through it all if your room is in the back. Slightly loud, but that doesn't bother me. The beach chairs are over a mile away and it's tough finding them as is the entrance to this hotel. There are more hostels with better value. The photos are accurate, this place is right out of an ikea book. The service was terrible at all levels. I saw employees fighting and crying. A lot of drama with the staff.

Yelp
This hostel made enjoy my time in Miami. Thank you so much Juan and Duvy for helping me have a great experience in Miami. The happy hour was great! I loved the free drinks from 7-8. Also the pool was beautiful! The hostel has an amazing location as well. Everything is walking distance.

Yelp
Best hostel I've ever Stayed at in the best location. This swimming pool was quite incredible and I could not believe that it was there just for us. It was amazing also that they gave us a free breakfast. The beds were super comfortable and it was so much fun meeting all of these lovely people that I had such a great time with. I made so many new friends and I will keep in touch with them hopefully for a long time to come

Yelp
If I could give this place a 0/5, I would. First of all, the rooms are falsely advertised and not at all private. Secondly, a grown man decided to look under my shower curtain as I was taking a shower. The police came and he was removed but I was shown no empathy from the staff after the incident. No apology, no accommodation, and they basically shrugged it off like it was no big deal to them. I decided to leave although I had the rest of the week booked and they refused to give me a refund because their 'policy' didn't allow it. Their rules explicitly state that no sex is allowed, but the silhouettes on the shower doors in one bathroom and the general lapse in privacy would lead you to believe otherwise. That's perhaps why someone decided it was okay to take a look at me in the shower. All in all this left a terrible first impression of Miami and I have zero interest in coming back to the city at all. I must mention that certain members of the staff treated me like a human and tried to help but I can't say that for every member of the staff. I will leave out names in hopes that he learns how to treat guests in the future.

Yelp
They have cockroaches! The lady tried to argue with me and say they didn't so I showed her the video I took of them. She said she would refund me after ignoring me for over 3 hours pretending to call the head office for the night we didn't stay. Never happened. Wouldn't recommend

Yelp
Really nice place. Clean, modern, really great location. Quiet, secure, and nice people working there, and visiting as well. For being my first time at a hostel, it was great. My only complain, is that for mistake they charged us twice. It has been more than six months, and there is still no satisfactory resolution. Common Josh! I please help Charlie to resolve this issue!!!!

Yelp
Overpriced below average hostel. You have to understand that your bed will be steps away from the check in area, kitchen, and hallway, and there is absolutely no door! So you can hear every single word that people say in the hallway, especially at night when u r trying to sleep! Add to that the noise from the street, this is a challenge for anyone to try to Just for this point, the hostel doesn't deserve any star at all. I tried to sleep for 2 hours but couldn't, the TV was on and again I can hear every single word, plus people talking all night. I can't really blame them for watching TV or talking in the hallway. I hated how I prepared my own bed, this hostel is not cheap at all, there are hostels with half their price that provide better services. I'm not talking about gym or anything else, preparing the bed before your guests arrive is a basic! There is also no power outlet that is close to each bed, and I think this one is becoming a basic as well for most hostels. Customer service from the front desk is not great either, they simply can't solve problems. If you have any problem, solve it by yourself, they will just tell you there is nothing that I can do about it. The only good thing about this hostel is the pool and the pool area. I've stayed in many hostels, this is the worst and the most expensive hostels I've stayed in.

Yelp
Great Hostel. Offers free shuttle service, free wifi, free breakfast, free drinks frm 7-8, 1 block frm the beach, very clean.

Yelp
Just amazing hostel , super clean amazing service the pool is fire I love that pool , I will definitely coming back

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE & A SCAM. There are 30 beds in a SINGLE ROOM. Breakfast is BREAD. I did NOT receive my security deposit & was transferred 3 times on the phone before I was told to call my bank who also confirmed I was not refunded. I called back to be told that the manager was not in today (a Thursday), IRONIC, because on the SATURDAY I was thankfully leaving the "manager" whoever this may be wasn't in either, in the middle of march during spring break season? UNREAL. After we were told by TWO DIFFERENT EMPLOYEES IN TWO CONSECUTIVE DAYS where the shuttle would pick us up to bring us to the airport; it was the wrong location. After we missed the shuttle because of their miscommunication, the hostel/hotel told us there was nothing they could do. After being pushed to the edge by this company, I told them I want a written letter about this incident & then they decided they would call a taxi. They paid, but did not TIP. I WILL NEVER EVER STEP NEAR THIS PLACE AGAIN.

Yelp
This was my first experience at a Hostel and I was thoroughly impressed. A little mysterious to find at first. I needed a place to rest my head overnight (6-7 hours max) and felt it was ridiculous to pay more than a $100 at a hotel for such a short stay. I researched lonelyplanet.com and various hotel booking sites and came across Posh (which had MANY positive reviews). I arrived at about midnight thirty. The host was awesome! He showed me my spot, told me where to get ear plugs, what he expected of me (i.e. rules) and gave me the key to my locker (below my bed) for safe keeping. He hushed a few guests who were too loud from a drunken night at the bar (I'm so grateful for him) and even the gal who thought it was appropriate to use a blow dryer at 3AM (use common courtesy folks). You can hear the music and loud folk out in South Beach but it wasn't too bad with ear plugs. The place was clean, modern and fairly quiet. It looked exactly like the photos on Yelp. There are 2 computers available, wi-fi and a chill place to lounge. The other travelers were quite friendly and diverse. The continental breakfast was okay. I wasn't too impressed with the gal host in the morning (someone was having trouble dialing within the 305 area code and she offered no help), but checking out was easy! I highly recommend Posh.

Yelp
It was my first time staying at a hostel hotel and it was great. Everything was clean, the staff were very attentive and you get complimentary breakfast every morning. I do recommend this hostel and will be retuning on my next trip

Yelp
Hello all. The Posh hostel in south beach miami florida is by far the dirtiest hostel I have ever been to! I rented a bunk bed for 10 days and I left after 6 days of being so uncomfortable. The pictures on their website do not show the entire bedroom and the bathroom showers. The bedroom has between 10 and 14 bunk beds. Each bunk bed is less than 4 feet apart from each other. I asked multiple times for clean sheets and towels which were not put on my bed for over 2 hours! There are people coming in and out all times of the day, morning, and night. The bunk beds have very small storage bins below each. The bins make very loud noises when opened and/or when closed. The showers have broken shower heads where the water is spraying to the ceiling which is a major hazard! in time, if they are not fixed hopefully the ceiling will not drop. the staff is great! the hostel is not. My advice is to view many other hostels before considering the Posh hostel!

Yelp
Stayed here quite a few years ago and loved my experience here. The space in itself is large and clean. It may sound intimidating/scary to live in a room with 20+ people, but the amenities are so nice and the staff ensure that the guests are comfortable. I think the only type of people who would not like this experience are the ones who really really need their own space. If you enjoy making friends from all over the world ( I met quite a few people from France, Brazil, Germany, and Spain), then you are sure to enjoy this. From what I remember, there's a happy hour in the lounge next door that guests can visit and its a great way to meet people. They also have a large kitchen which is very nice. I had a french friend who cooked a full meal every day and it was wonderful! I did some research before going and saw a lot of reviews about the staff being strict and what not. I think this is true to some degree and I like it that way because the rules are set in place so that the guests feel comfortable and can have a good experience. I have walked past other hotels in south beach that seem run down and not well cared for, but posh is exceptionally nice and that is because they have wonderful staff.

Yelp
The hostel is clean and some cool people stay here but overall I would not recommend you stay here . It feels like some strange religious cult. When you check In you sign a bunch of forms one of which states " I will not have sex " just too many rules its kinda is depressing. I guess the pool is the only reason to stay here if you can get past the weird stuff and sharing a room with 30 people. I know I can't.

Yelp
I gave them a 2 star because of the guy that works there he helped us--me and my friends came for a vacation from ohio, we booked a month ago and we were ok with the the sharing Rooms idea ---when we booked it it NEVER told us all the rules !!!!!!! Don't book here unless you want to be treated like kids or be in high school---you can't have any friends over or have anything fun ---they won't even let use cancel !!! Its a rip off really !!!

Yelp
Excellent place to stay. Safe area and close the eveywhere. Room includes everything you need . Nice pool.

Yelp
The staff here is really friendly and always willing to help with any question you may have. The other guests have a similar mindset as you so you don't ever run into any trouble. Everyone is just there to have a good and safe time. I met so many people. The free happy hour every day and the free shuttle to and from the airport are a huge plus. If you're looking to stay near the beach this is the way to go.

Yelp
Wonderful hostel in prime location. Free continental breakfast, free towel service, free drinks daily 7-8pm (vodka, rum or gin with a mixer), free locker with lock and key, free shuttle bus to and from Miami International Airport, free access to rooftop pool. Will definitely return.

Yelp
This was my first time staying at a hostel and I was surprised at the cleanliness of this establishment. They had housekeepers cleaning at all hours of the day. Staff was extremely nice. I stayed in the smaller room and was half full throughout my stay although the music next door made it hard for me to sleep. Would totally recommend this place.

Yelp
My first hostel experience and I loved it! I'm glad I did this. Ok so here goes. I booked my reservation in Jan for an arrival in Sept. Three days before I arrived they took the entire amount for my stay out. It was not a large amount because they place is not at all expensive, but I just so happen to be out shopping when they ran it. My credit card company froze my card because they thought something weird was going on. When I called the hostel to speak to someone about it I was told that was proper policy. When you make a reservation using hostel world it clearly states in the fine print your initial deposit and that they remainder will be charged upon check in. He said the policy had changed and hostel world did not update their info.... As a first time traveler to Mia AND staying in a hostel I was like... :Oh God is this what its going to be like". When I arrived it was all good! Everything worked out the front desk & lounge/ breakfast area was so clean. Kitchen is full with stove, microwave, and fridge. The beds are clean and bathrooms are clean too. I was so happy with my stay I booked another night. The only thing I did not like is men came in to paint while women were dressing and such. I know its co ed but the upper mgmt. and painters don't care if your sleep or dressing. I stayed a couple nights which gave me the opportunity to stay in the larger dorm and smaller dorm. I like the larger one better. The smaller one doesn't make it more private. Plus the larger dorm is less expensive. Happy hour from 7-8 is free with your room key. Free well drinks that were great is a plus. Tip the bartender and see what happens! You can walk right outside and shop, eat, and walk 5 mins to the beach. I saved $ everyday by walking to the local Walgreens, they have real food. Drinks on SB can range from $45-200 a drink lol and food is pricey so Walgreens was great to me. Walgreens also has western union if you need it. I did explore the city it is amazing and beautiful. Hope you enjoyed this review.

Yelp
I just got back from a three day stay in Miami, and it honestly wasn't easy giving this place three stars, because truth be told, it's not like I died. However, I can't in good faith say "woohoo, I'm a fan" or "it's as good as it gets". The first thing to know very firmly is that there are many things that they are not telling you on their website, namely, the 50 dollar deposit that is required upon arrival and check in. Secondly, the fact that Florida residents cannot stay at the hostel is also not mentioned. This hostel is full of unpleasant surprises like this and the larger group that owns them and other hostels in the area thinks they can sidestep important facts that guests need to know. The rules for when you're staying make sense mostly, but they are very weird about other things. Two examples are simply the way they write signs, telling you that you have exactly 30 minutes to use the hostel's two public computers and that's it, no matter how crowded it may be or what the demand for computer use may be. The other example is how they do not let you exchange or trade beds with anyone, or else they will kick you out. Very weird. And of course, they have a very strong anti-sex rule. No sex in the hostel, or you get booted out the door. I booked this hostel through Expedia, and Expedia was very misleading, not making it clear that it was one BIG public room you will be staying in, and that there are no single rooms. Expedia is not designed well for booking hostels, and not even the hostel website makes it clear that it is one very large room with many many bunkbeds. Yes, you will be staying in one big room with people of the opposite sex with very little privacy or areas to change clothes or get undressed without being seen. The huge room is filled with metal frame bunkbeds with convenient drawers for you and your bunkmate's things underneath, but let it be known that these metal drawers make one HELL of a racket when being opened and closed. Please try to be quiet and considerate of your fellow hostelers who may be trying to sleep. People were generally very loud and rude and inconsiderate of the fact that we ALL have to share this one big space and that people making a loud stirring while others are sleeping, in addition to farting, not putting phones on silent, is just not cool. This is why I don't stay in hostels unless I must. I did make two friendly acquaintances, one of which I had dinner with, the with whom I shared a Lyft to the airport, but generally, I prefer the privacy of my own space. So my conclusion is, this place is not bad, but not great either. I am not sure I'd stay here again. Oh, and I had asked for a second blanket because it was COLD in the big room with the beds cause they blasted the air conditioning every few minutes EVEN IN cool temperate Miami January weather, and I did not get the blanket the first time from the cleaning ladies who are supposed to supply you with any extra bedding you may need, not the check in desk, interestingly enough. I finally got the blanket the second time, after asking a different cleaning lady. They also might not have understood English. I get this is Miami and Spanish and Haitian influences are ever-present, but understanding of English is just plain necessary and goes without saying.

Yelp
The front desk staff were very friendly. The houskeeping staff were very RUDE except for the lady who worked during the day. This place is as appears on pics just not as clean. Its actually very dirty. Im pretty sure there was a baby roach in the shower. Showers are so dirty u feel like u need a shower after you shower smh. You cant put food in the refrigerator because it smells rotton & its full of old food. They also WILL NOT give u a washcloth! You have to make your own bed upon arrival and remove your bedding when you leave as well. The people were nice for the most part untill 4am when they came in drunk and very loud. They say there is security at night but I never seen them in 3 nights. It was my first & last stay at a hostel.

Yelp
Ok, brand new places need time to iron out a few bugs, hence why the HEAVILY reduced rates online... A self-proclaimed 5 Star Hostel that has no sign out the front, no hot water, and swipe cards that failed 3 times in a 12 Hour period... The concept is great, but if you enjoy sleeping in a 28 bed dorm warehouse, that has no walls, doors or privacy; has no wall, floor or ceiling furnishings to absorb noise, where you can hear the showers, toilets and elevator all times of the night and day, then this is for you. Its like a Tokyo takes on Ikea Frankenstein setup, Theres no walk in booking, so everything has to be done online, the staff in the Reception, which is actually a bar, are rude, uninformative and more interested in getting their ends wet at the bar, than dealing with paying hotel customers. Just do a quick search on the Windham hotel, who "run" this place and youll see. Wish i did that first. Out of a 5 day stay, I stayed one night and went around the corner to another hostel which was warm, friendly and had a great vibe, hence why it was full. You get more friendliness and hospitality out of a 5 buck shack in Thailand or Costa Rica than here. Yes, its glam, poshy and glitzy, but cold, hard and empty with no soul. I also had to ask the receptionist for my proper change after he tried skimming a few bucks out of me. He then gave me my change and still had the neve to skim the last 50 cents from me. Maybe invest in a calculator then. To end, the receptionist Starling asked me in the elevator on the way up, after a 10 minute wait to get signed in with no acknowledgement, if id ever stayed at hostels before. I replied, of course, all around the world for the past 15 years. Well he said, "youve never stayed in anything likes this before then." He definately got that right.

Yelp
Highly recommend this hostel for a Miami Beach stay! Very close to the beach and many great restaurants. Very clean and enjoyed the free happy hours to meet other guests. The front desk agent Monica G. was very helpful with my booking and eventual stay! Hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did mine!

Yelp
The entire staff at POSH was accommodating and respectful. Especially, Trevon and Nick. Thanks for an awesome week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
I don't recommend this place to anyone. It may be in-expensive but it is not worth the money you will save. In order to find the front door you must go into another business. There is also no parking for this location. You must pay to park which is very very expensive. The customer service was also TERRIBLE. Not helpful or friendly at all. Spend the extra money and go somewhere that actually has a front door!

Karen L.

Yelp
I have not stayed in a hostel in several years but really liked Posh. Yvette at the front desk was super helpful and got me in the 8 person room instead of the open area of rooms. The place is really clean and the pool is great. The photos actually do look like the hostel. Location is amazing-a block from the beach AND they give you a free shuttle to the airport!!! Great, great, great all around.

Yelp
recommended by another backpacker at a nearby hostel, he told me this hostel DID take florida residents. i resolved to double check this since about half of the miami beach hostels do not accept florida residents. i poked my nose in there around lunchtime, ( november 10, give or take a day, which my credit card statement gave for the date i ate lunch after at a nearby restaurant) and the lady at the desk told me they DO take florida residents, and said, go have a look upstairs. i was shown upstairs and got a look through the window of the tv and kitchen areas, and at the slick rooftop lap pool. i read there was a dorm room with a myriad of beds, but i was not deterred. i came back down, thanked the lady at the reception and promised to book in the near future when i knew the day of the following week when i was coming. if i had booked then at the desk, the booking would have been honored, because i would have had the name of the employee who booked me despite my florida residency, or it would have been rejected or cancelled with no penalty. a few days later i discovered when i would go there, and booked 3 days through hostelworld. i did not drill down the link to the details page (which, i discovered too late, DID mention NOT accepting florida residents), assuming it was nothing unusual. my booking went through hostelworld, despite my florida residency. i arrived late in the day for my 3 day booking at POSH HOSTEL, and was told by the receptionist upstairs that they don't accept florida residents. i said, please let me stay because it is late and i may not find another place, and since i asked the lady at the desk last week who said it was OK. the receptionist upstairs called the manager who took a few minutes to respond, that i could not stay, and would lose the amount due for my first night. i left and fortunately did find a vacancy nearby. later i got my credit card statement and called to speak to the manager about being charged for the first night, requesting that, since i had asked the lady at the desk on november 10 ,please refund me. the manager said did i know which lady it was. i said no i did not expect her to misinform me. the manager said all her employees are aware of the regulations. that meant my only recourse would be he said/ she said in small claims court, if i could identify the lady at reception near lunch time a month ago on november 10. i said whatever, thanks a lot! and my next statement included charges for the 2nd and 3rd night! i warn other florida residents to beware of how a hostel employee misstated its florida-resident policy. if the lady in reception made a mistake, hopefully she will never make it ever again.
