Post Hotel Dining Room Lake Louise

The food was amazing. We had wagyu short rib, BC prawn, duck, and steak with foie gras. We were so full and didn’t have room for dessert. The dining room is really cozy and delightful. My only wish was that they could add more vegetables to the dishes. Especially the duck, the carrots were delicious but more of a garnish than a side.

Post Hotel Dining Room in Lake Louise is truly a dream restaurant. From the moment you step inside, everything feels refined, calm, and intentional. The food is absolutely fantastic — fine-dining level in both flavor and presentation. Each dish is beautifully plated, almost like a work of art, and every bite is balanced, elegant, and deeply satisfying. What impressed me just as much as the food was the service. The staff are true professionals in every sense. They are warm, cheerful, and genuinely welcoming, yet never overbearing. They have a perfect sense of timing — always present when needed, and gracefully invisible when you’re simply enjoying the food and the moment. Nothing feels rushed, interrupted, or forced. The entire experience feels thoughtfully curated, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the flavors, atmosphere, and conversation at the table. It’s rare to find a place where the food, service, and ambiance align so perfectly. This is the kind of restaurant that stays with you long after the meal is over. I would wholeheartedly recommend Post Hotel Dining Room to anyone visiting Lake Louise and looking for an unforgettable, truly refined dining experience.

If you want a nice high end meal this is where you go. Service was great and the food followed suit. We started with the bison tartare and the richness of the meat really enhanced the flavors of the ingredients. I had the caribou and it was absolutely delightful and everything on the dish went together perfect, I loved how much sauce there was to utilize. My fiancé had the miso black cod and she was also very impressed.

The Post Hotel Dining Room is not your average hotel dining room. It is a first class restaurant, in terms of atmosphere, food, and service. Our waiter Sylvain was very professional, and in the course of the evening as the restaurant became less busy, and when asked told us quite a bit about where he came from and his experiences. We were still feeling the effects of an enourmous lunch, and had even contacted the restaurant to move back our reservatioin by an hour which they did for us. Hence we stuck to lighter things on the menu - including the Octopus Confit - an interesting dish that was delicious, the Pan Seared Deep Sea Scallops that were cooked to perfection, and the Pan Seared Sea Bream Filet. The dining room included a wall of wine, which was only a portion of the wine offerings. Downstairs was a complete wine cellar, that we just caught a glimpse of when walking by the stairway. The restaurant has won a number of awards, including the DiRōNA Award of Excellence in 2025.

Old world elegance, cozy surroundings, light piano play in the background, and a lovely dining room to spend an anniversary dinner and splurge on an amazing bottle of vino if you get the chance. It was wonderful to be back here again after a long hiatus. Fantastic service, cheerful sommelier, delicious offerings thoughtfully prepared and presented. I’ve come across few hotel based restaurants that can bring this pedigree of experience to bare, and even even fewer in sleepy little mountain villages, and thus I think the price point is commensurate with the experience. Thankfully they have a wonderful little companion pub downstairs to help balance the dining stay budget whilst here at the lodge, which we also enjoyed thoroughly, and made it that much more special to settle into an evening of fine dining here. So very yum. Well done. Ps- I especially enjoyed the combination of thick cut green and red tomatoes n their take on a caprese, with two types of balsamic, very nice.

We had an absolutely amazing dinner at Post Hotel Dining Room. Our waiter, Cleverson, was outstanding—attentive, warm, and made the evening even more enjoyable. The food was exceptional. The halibut and sea scallops were perfectly prepared and truly some of the best we’ve ever had. Even the mocktails impressed us—especially the Juice-Tini, which was fresh, creative, and delicious. From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. Highly recommend this spot for both the incredible food and the wonderful service!

Lunch in November was great. Not busy at all. Food quality and flavours are excellent. Fish & chips had a nice curry seasoning under the batter. Korean fried chicken is legit (not just smothered in gochujang like you'd get at some other restaurants). Burrata was absolutely killer with the tomato, vinegar, and olive oil. Very tasty & buttery potatoes in the duck confit. Good service.
