Post Hotel - Tradition & Lifestyle (Innichen, Alps / Dolomites) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Set in the beautifully named South Tyrolean village of San Candido, just a few miles from the Austrian border, is Post Hotel - Tradition & Lifestyle, a 1926-vintage inn that was extensively renovated in 2014 and now stands as a fine example of Italy’s modern generation of Alpine luxury boutique hotels. It’s an adults-only hotel, which certainly aids in its efforts to provide a tranquil atmosphere, while its location offers endless opportunities for adventure, from downhill and Nordic skiing to summertime hiking and biking." - Tablet Hotels

The loveliest hotel at the base of the Dolomiti Super Ski. The staff is amazing. The hotel is charming. The food is outstanding. Just minutes from Mt. Elmo and a short car ride to Cortina. One hour plus from Stellarondo.||There is nothing better than skiing all day and having a lovely meal at your leisure. The highlight of this hotel is Gabriel, the mixologist. I hav never seen such creativity and delicious drinks made right in front of you.

This family run boutique hotel is absolutely lovely. The rooms are well appointed and the La Stella room provided an excellent balance for sleeping and relaxation. Each and every staff member, in every department, is anticipatory of the needs of the guests and remembers special orders (i.e. cafe latte decafenado, extra towels in room, etc.). Gabriel is a master cocktail curator. The shuttle drivers, to and from the mountains, went out of their way to accomodate our large group. The food and the desserts could not be more delicious. The hotel provided a unique tour of the kitchen, which is a must see for foodies. We loved our stay and can't wait to come back during the summer season.

Our ski club has the best experience at the Post Hotel in San Candido. The staff and owners were super friendly and truly beyond accommodating to our demanding group of 50. The food was an experience unlike any I have ever had. Morning after morning, and night after night, of yummy plate art!

Imagine this: you and your five best girlfriends embarking on the ultimate ski getaway in Italy. Just the thought of it feels like pure magic.||||And what’s a fairytale vacation without a “castle”? While the Post Hotel may not be one in the literal sense, every inch of it exudes royal luxury wrapped in the warmth of home.||||From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the crackling of a wood-burning fireplace and a staff so genuinely kind that they soon felt like family. Our rooms? Spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully prepared. Plush baskets filled with robes and towels awaited us for our spa days. Each of us had our own special requests—mine was a balcony, where I spent every morning and evening breathing in the crisp Dolomite air and soaking in the breathtaking beauty around me.||||The magic didn’t stop there.||||Each night was an experience of its own. Imagine sipping cocktails and enjoying appetizers right in the kitchen, mingling with the culinary artists behind our meals. Or unwinding in one of the cozy lounges, where the hotel’s owners—who have cared for this gem for generations—welcomed us as if we were long-lost family.||||Then came dinner. Seven exquisite courses. Each more incredible than the last. I’ve dined at Michelin-starred restaurants, but nothing compared to the culinary brilliance we experienced here. Every bite was an adventure, every dish a masterpiece. We laughed, we savored, we created memories over each course. The dining staff was incredibly attentive, and by the end of our stay, we weren’t just guests—we were part of something special.||||And oh, the drinks! The wine list was exceptional, with pairings so perfectly curated they felt like magic. But the real showstopper? The cocktails. Watching the bartender craft each one with precision and creativity was mesmerizing. They weren’t just drinks; they were works of art—stunning, delicious, unforgettable.||||Mornings at the Post began with an indulgent breakfast spread, both savory and sweet—fueling us for the adventures ahead. And adventure was everywhere.||||Step outside the Post Hotel and straight into the heart of San Candido. Quaint shops, charming cafés, historic cathedrals—it was like stepping into a postcard. But we were here to ski, and ski we did! The Post had everything covered: heated ski storage, a shuttle to the nearby slopes, and even emailed us bus and train passes upon arrival—making it seamless to explore.||||On our non-ski days, the staff had endless recommendations, from castle visits to hidden gems we never would have found on our own. One unforgettable highlight? A full-moon snowshoe hike. The stillness of the night, the glow of the moon on the snow—it was pure magic, a moment that will live in my heart forever.||||I could write a novel about our time at the Post Hotel, but no words will ever truly do it justice. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience, a feeling, a memory waiting to be made. The staff ended up naming us the sunshine girls, and who couldn't be filled with sunshine in this magical place?||||You just have to go and see for yourself. ✨🏔️

Our group of 44 skiers from New York stayed here for six nights. We loved the rooms, the spa, the people, and of course the food! Highly recommended.

The Post Hotel was absolutely incredible! The service was top-notch, and the food was outstanding. The ambience made the entire experience so enjoyable and fun. Their spa is on another level—you can tell they invested a lot of thought and care into it. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. All of this, and it’s priced so reasonably! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful three night stay in the charming Post Hotel in San Candido, Italy. It is a 100 year old family run hotel where it was very noticeable they take great pride in their establishment. The hotel and rooms were spotless. Service was great and the meals were fantastic. Dinners were gourmet and the breakfast spread had everything you could want. Also, great location hiking and for walking around town. I would highly recommend the this hotel. Five star experience.
