La Belle Poste Café

Such an amazing spot! All the staff have the warmest smiles and are incredibly kind and attentive. They make you feel so welcome that it’s like you’ve just made a new friend. On my first visit, I ordered the “soup of the day”, which turned out to be a beautifully rich edamame soup. You could tell they’d used a generous amount of edamame, it looked stunning, and for just $18, it felt like such great value. I was curious about their $20 risotto as well, so I went back another day...and wow, that dish was just perfect. The flavour of the cheese balanced so well with the nutty crunch of the walnuts, making it feel like a main you’d get in a full course meal. I honestly didn’t expect to be able to enjoy such a beautifully crafted dish first thing in the morning! The coffee, made by a Japanese barista, was incredible too. The latte art was so delicate, and you could really taste the depth of flavour that only comes from a lot of practice and passion. Being a Kiwi-French café, there are little touches of French around the place, giving it such a lovely atmosphere; it almost feels like a little getaway. It’s truly become a special spot for me that brightens my morning every time I go. Massive thanks to the whole team!

The new owners have returned this cafe back to our local favourite. The best local coffee and eggs Benny! We’ll be returning on our next Auckland trip.

The food was absolutely delicious! Well balanced in flavour. Staff were super friendly as well. Highly recommended and will be back again.

What a joy to crave granola with coconut yoghurt and stumble in here to discover not only was it on the menu but at midday they were still serving it! Absolutely delicious blend of nuts, fruits and granola. The green smoothie was on point and the espresso had the perfect crema. Loved this place. Shame we don't live in Auckland as would be here a lot otherwise.

Oh this is a real gem , so pleased to have found this charming french cafe today! So nice to be able to visit with vegetarians, vegans and carnivores finally, with each able to enjoy truly gorgeous food. Two of us enjoyed the Breakfast of Champignons, so beautifully presented (wow!), and I have to say simply the BEST mushrooms on toast we had eaten. One had the Toastmasters eggs on toast and thoroughly enjoyed it too, shared some of the mushrooms as well and declared them the best. They also kindly allowed me to order a side of spinach even though it was not on the menu. The ambience is just so lovely, the service excellent and friendly. I will be back next time in Auckland, thank you!

The specialty coffees and drinks further enhance the ambience, making it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts in town. I have been here with my friends and they loved it. The gentleman who makes his specialty coffee takes pride on his skills and you taste it is in every sip. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
