Employees were super nice but the photos I ended up with had a tint to them and they got rejected by the online application for my passport. Double check the prints have a WHITE background.

I took my friend here, who is a disabled veteran, and the young lady behind the counter was kind and accommodating, since he couldn't get out of the car! Also didn't mind that it went past after hours! Great attitude and customer service! I bought some interesting and funny birthday cards. Thank you for what you do🙌

I wish I could give more stars! I feel terrible for not asking the girl her name this afternoon/evening, but she was so helpful with getting us a quote for moving to Japan. We had to come in twice due to issues with another shipping store. She deserves a raise for her patience and helpfulness!

They offer so many different services, and the staff is incredibly helpful. I have had some very unique instances where I had to send/receive goods from outside the country and Tyler took extra care making sure that things were done properly and went to the right place. I can't explain enough how awesomely awesome the service was this morning for my Passport Renewal 3/13/23 at 11:20 am! I think her name was Rebecca and I apologize if I'm mistaken!!! But she was amazing! I was thinking this would take a long time like when I did it at the post office years ago, where it took hours! I was literally in and out in like 15 minutes! Absolutely incredible incredible top shelf service! If your passport is expiring like mine that's the place to get it done!!!!

This company is completely unprofessional. I contacted them for a quote to ship a fine art painting and I was quoted around $850. Upon requesting a cheaper service, I was able to get a quote for about $500. AFTER I sent this information to my buyer, the owner contacted me to let me know they do not ship artwork. Seriously, train you employees. This took time, energy, and art buyer is now confused and angry about the fake quote as well. So if you have art to ship - don't bother taking it here. They don't ship artwork. And they apparently won't tell you that before wasting your time.

Friendly staff and quick service. Just how I like it. I usually stop by here from time to time to drop off packages that I need to have shipped out. I'm usually in and out in less than a minute. For shipping needs, this Postal Annex+ provides stamps, cards, packaging supplies along with other services that I find to be a convenient place to take care of business/office-related tasks. This Postal Annex is amazing. I've been to a few and this one totally out classes all of them. Although I don't live around here I try to come by whenever I can. I just know that all my mail services will be completed in a timely manner and complete Trust. I've been to other places where they've messed up my mailing causing a total nightmare. It seems like they train all their staff here very well because everyone here knows what they're doing and is very courteous. They have always come through for me and recently I decided not to go elsewhere and save myself the headache. I've gotten passports done here, packages shipped and delivered, and even notary signings. All without hassle which makes the whole experience really Pleasant. Great service, fair pricing, and peace of mind is what you'll find here. I am very grateful to have this type of experience because as a small business owner I need to make sure that all my mailing needs are met. I have always liked the people and service at this PA , but today was so far beyond call of duty that I have to share it. I'm on crutches, but moving fine and not in much pain. One of the employees who was obviously off duty with her hands full and a baby strapped to her front torso saw me hobbling over and went inside to get my two packages for me. She remembered my box # already and walked out with them and even carried to my vehicle. She asked which was mine so that she could go set it there while I slowly made my way back because she had to get to an appointment. Who is this nice? Hands full, with a baby, pressed for time, and goes out of her way to help. Mad props for human decency.

They forgot to add my package to the DHL pickup. My package was shipped 6 DAYS LATER.

I don't usually write reviews but I had such a pleasant experience renewing my passport here on 01/06/23 . I was in and out in what felt like 10-15 minutes. I wish I knew that they handle passport services a long time ago. It 100% beats going to the post office, since I rarely have had a friendly experience there. The Postal Annex is priceless to have across the street. The staff no matter who it is, they are always very nice & super helpful. Not only are they great for shipping things, they make keys, they have stamps ( way less of a nightmare than the Post Office !) they also have a great selection of quirky fun cards. They can fax ( old school) print documents when my printer was on the fritz. Postal Annex is truly a great place to get a lot of different things taken care of and offers more than most of these types of places!! They're Great!!

I've made 3 trips to the Postal Annex at 3960 W Point Loma Blvd this past week. Each time was I treated by their friendly staff, in a timely manner. One day I needed a paper notarized, then another day mailed packages, and finally another day brought in a huge stack of papers to be shredded. Highly recommend using their services at the Pt. I've been meaning to write this for a while. I'm pretty lost when it comes to mailing things, and the staff here always makes my day. They always greet me with a smile, and help me with whatever I need. I actually drive out of my way to go here because of their friendliness. Just like other reviewers have mentioned, the customer service here is wonderful! I opened a mailbox here, and Tyler was above and beyond helpful and super friendly. Their prices are reasonable too! Plenty of free parking and located close to the freeway. Before I arrive, I messaged them on Yelp to ask a few questions, (early morning before the store opened) and Tyler replied right away! I highly recommend their services.

I had just gotten married and was in the need to change the name on my passport, after some research I read that the Postal Annex would be able do it no appointment necessary! After receiving all the paperwork and filling them out, I went with my husband on a Friday and was able to leave within 15-20 minutes, it was that fast! The service was great, really informative and the gal who helped me even gave some recommendations for our stay in Ireland! I had my passport expedited so within the next week or so I had it! I am so excited that I was able to get everything taken care of in such a timely and organized manner, getting passports is stressful so the staff was amazing! Definitely coming back!

If I could give them six stars I would. These guys are the best, the best, the best! Any time I've had something to ship or needed supplies they always have had what I need. They are all super friendly and helpful. If you have anything to ship, do yourself a favor and come here.

I have been a regular customer here since 2014. The family-style establishment will never keep you waiting because there is always a smiling face waiting for customers behind the counter. They actually will do everything for you when it comes to mailing concerns. (They offer a menu of services to exceed the postal world...including accurate key duplication!) I rarely say words that seem to paint a perfect scene, but as far as customer satisfaction goes, it is.

I want to first say that we did not actually use any services here, but the review is based on customer service alone! We stopped in here on Saturday because my fiance needs a passport for our upcoming honeymoon. His is expired, and he has been trying to figure out how to renew an expired one, which turns out to be extremely complicated. The woman who was working behind the counter explained that because it is so complicated, we would have to go to a post office, and probably make an appointment, and that she couldn't help. Not only that, but she went so far as to get on her computer and look for locations for us that offer appointments! She gave us many options near, and when we told her we are probably moving up to Oceanside, she looked up locations there too! Nowadays, it really impresses me when others go above and beyond (especially when they know you are capable of probably looking it up yourself). If I need any postal services they offer, I will definitely be back!

Tyler and staff have been my go-to for all shipping needs for almost five years now. Although I moved out of the neighborhood, and there's a location closer to my current address, the customer service there is exceptional, so I make the drive every time I need to ship something out. They've been especially helpful over the years in figuring out what's the most cost effective way to send my brothers and other military friends packages overseas. They help me pack up the bags I bring in to make the most sense, and make sure I have tracking to get it to the final destination. When I needed my passport, they helped from taking the picture, filling out the paperwork, and ensuring I got it quick. Thank you Tyler, and staff, for your amazing attitude and follow-through. You're definitely my favorite small business to support!

I went here for passport photos and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Not only did I get a quality photo at a great price, but the customer service was impeccable. I will definitely be referring friends here in the future.

If you need passport photos, this is a good place to do it- quick, relatively inexpensive ($12.99 for 2) and convenient - located in the Souplantation shopping center, and open 8:30-6:30 pm. Photos turned out great, and came in a little folder, too.

I came in here with some lamps that I needed to return to Amazon, another smaller box I had to drop off, and a need for several stamps. I had a prepaid shipping label for the box with the lamps. Though I used to be decent at Tetris, I couldn't see the lamps fitting in the box without some modification at best, whole new box at worse. I'm used to going to these types of places for my packaging needs; I even had a shop package and box up my AR 15 for warranty service in the past. I am used to paying a good amount of money for just the packaging. I figure it's better off paying it then getting denied the whole refund amount due to a damaged product. Anyway, this location is in a nice area that houses my barbershop (shout out to Tam VN barbershop) and a Grocery Outlet, along with the irrestible Cravory cookie shop. There is plentiful parking in the spacious private lot. The girl at the front was nice and greeted me with a smile. I told her what I needed and she got another girl (the manager?) who looked inside the box, moved somethings around, and ten seconds later said "Just wrap around it and put some bubble wrap on top, it will be fine". Dang I felt foolish but relieved at the same time. She also said "just charge x.xx for the packaging material", which was far less than what I had estimated I would be spending here. I was actually shocked. Dropping off the other package and getting stamps went without a hitch. This was a great experience and I will with no doubt use this store again for my shipping needs, and recommend you patronize this awesome small business as well!! Thanks again to the ladies there who helped me out and kicked off my day with a great start!

I don't care what anyone says - this postal annex is the best in the West. I no longer even live close to it and I still keep it as my central place to get my mail. Why? Customer service says it all. Staff are required to know your name and your box number. On those days When I'm feeling a little out of sorts it's great to have somebody greet me by name and look happy to see me. Not only do they provide mailing services - they will find the perfect box to send something in and pack it for you, There is a computer and copy machine there for you to use. And for the shopaholic like myself lots of useless and not so useless things to buy. Most importantly for me was the help they gave me when i lost my passport and had to reapply to get a new one. Tyler patiently guided me through the process. I think even if I move to China I'd still use this postal annex. That's how good they are.

The process for obtaining my Chinese visa was a very easy, pleasant experience. They were extremely kind, accommodating, and helpful. I would highly recommend them for all of your visa needs.

Quick, friendly and amazing service! I went in to renew my passport and the gentleman helping me (I don't remember his name) was so helpful! I was able to do the application, take new pictures and have everything sent off in less than 20 minutes! The price was right too! I didn't realize they do visas for almost every country too! Older woman was working alone. Waited in line for much too long, while she helped one customer. For the duration of my wait, as well as her helping me, she was working with her face mask pulled down under her chin. In addition, the customer she was helping had his mask pulled down under his chin as well. Apparently this "essential business" does not find it "essential" to follow the law. I won't be returning.

I came here to get my passport renewed and the process was easier than I could have imagined. I came in about 45 minutes before closing (which I always feel bad about doing) but was greeted very warmly and helped immediately. Julie helped me fill everything out, took my photo, gave me all my papers and receipt and let me know how to track the status. It was around $160 out the door and she basically did everything for me, PLUS I was in and out in under 20 minutes. They also have shredding services which is super convenient. Would come back and recommend anytime.

Tyler is very friendly and very professional. And they pick up all packages from my home. My package only use 7-8 days ship to Canada. Great service! :) Later： But I got bill of tax form FedEx after got box 2 weeks later! I send 8 boxes to Canada, they all want same price for tax 50$ totally $400(some box just have some old toys inside all the things in box is old. The box value just 50$!!!). Tyler help me call to the FedEx company, he is responsible. But Warning do Not use FedEx. I search on internet lots of people use FedEx got tax bill after 2 weeks. FedEx open all the box.... and send you box first then give you very high tax. Someone buy the only 40$(include one cloth and delivery fee). FedEx want she pay 37$ tax...FedEx is like Robber. Be careful!!！

We drove all around town trying to find a notary on a Saturday afternoon. We stopped at a UPS and were greeted with customer service that was lacking and employees that weren't the smartest. Tyler was helpful, quick, friendly, and even helped us out with a discount since we were getting so many signatures notarized. Would definitely come back and highly recommend!

Pretty awesome that this Postal Annex has 5 YELP STARS and it is no mistake. A very well-run, busy and popular local business. The West Pt. Loma Postal Annex has the best customer service, friendly, helpful employees and can take care of just about any kind of postal, shipping or office need you might have. I have used their fax and copy services although sometimes Tyler has to come over and show me how to copy an email off Gmail so that I can print it out. Since my son wrecked the printer, I have to come here quite often now. Lovely bohemian Jackie is the best! She actually took a passport renewal photo of me last month that is not half bad. I like to hang around and watch some of the male customers come in and try and flirt with her. She is so nice to all these wacky dudes and manages to converse with customers as she goes about weighing parcels and answering the phone. Multi-dexterous Jackie for sure. The only thing I might mention is that they open at 8:30 a.m. Sometimes I am killing time at the Starbucks next door, waiting for Postal Annex to open. But it might be a franchise rule that they open at that time? The 5 YELP STAR tradition continues unabated with me.

I recently noticed my passport was expiring within 6 weeks and I needed it for the sale of my home in Mexico. A sweet young man helped answer my desperate questions on the phone and he was the same person to help me in the store the next day. He quickly entered my information into the gov't website online, took my picture and mailed off my passport and info. I chose not to expedite the process due to the amount and my lack of extra funds but he assured me that passports were being completed and returned quickly. He also accepted a $10 coupon that I'd printed online. Within 10 days I've received my new passport! Incredible service! I'll be telling all my friends and anyone else who'll listen about this Postal Annex location

I love these guys. They are knowledgable about what they do and friendly in how they do it. I really appreciate how wonderful their customer service is. I just went in to return a package and the company I was sending to ( a large corporation) was not being helpful. These guys walked me through how to handle it and I ended up saving over $20, just by talking it through with them. I cannot say enough good things about them. It is rare to find such an attentive and helpful service anymore, so I really appreciate the way they run their business.

I came here to drop off a package to ship out and the lady here was super helpful and friendly. I came at around opening time at 930 and she was super nice to me and helped me with all the questions i asked about passport related issues as well as took care of shipping out an item for me!

I used these folks' services in order to renew my passport in mid-2017. Despite using the standard passport renewal application, my passport arrived before the expected delivery dates. Because I got back a working passport, clearly, these folks did their job right. The only reason I give this business 4 stars is because, when I renewed my passport, the clerk informed me that their internet is slow sometimes, and that they are not always able to successfully submit the online passport renewal application. Luckily, the internet worked well when I went there. Despite the clerk's much appreciated honesty, a sometimes unreliable internet connection is not ideal for any business, especially when renewing a passport. That is the only reason I knocked off a star. Other than that, all is well.

I never thought I'd be leaving a review for a shipping center, but after my visit to PostalAnnex, I had to share how positive the experience was. Let me explain - I am moving to the east coast (I know, what is wrong with me!?) and decided to sell my furniture and ship the rest of my belongings instead of hiring movers or renting a pod. After packing things up, this amounted to eight large boxes and a few small boxes of things. The staff at PostalAnnex were really patient and helpful.
