The cabins were wonderful. The lay out was nice. Enjoyed the time with my wife with no interruptions. The only issue was the chairs out side wasn’t clean and had spiders eggs underneath the arm. The wood was damp and I wasn’t able to light a fire for a hours. Had to use the paper towels in order to started the fire. I called but the call went to another state so no assistance used the number on the card in the cabin. And maybe an outlet outside for a fan and mosquito spray around the outside of at fir pit and no music at all outside the cabin. Besides that it was a good out come and me and my wife will do it again.

Review would be 5 stars instead of 3 it wasn't for the sheer amount of ticks. I get we're in nature and there was a high probability of dealing with them, but this location was infested. On our 2 night stay, between myself, wife and dogs we pulled 30+ ticks off of ourselves. For a "dog friendly" place there has to be a better way to control them, especially in the communal area.

Definitely enjoyed our stay at these cabins as a 'glamping' companion to a visit to Mammoth Cave National Park & surrounding area, about an hour and half north in Kentucky. Just enough space for us as a couple, kitchenette with basics provided, and heat/AC. Quiet and relaxing, which was just what we were looking for. Will definitely book with Postcard Cabins again.

Extremely Disappointed – Tick Infestation and Poor Response I’m beyond upset with our recent experience at this camp ground that we had previously enjoyed. Within just 20 minutes of being on the grounds, our two dogs had 15 ticks on them, and my husband had 6 ticks. This wasn’t deep in the woods — these ticks were found in the main sitting and eating area, where guests are expected to relax and gather. We brought this to the staff’s attention and were only refunded $75 out of the $200 we paid. They cited their terms and conditions, which mention “pest warnings,” but this wasn’t a matter of a few bugs here and there — this was a full-on infestation. The environment was clearly not safe or properly maintained, and there was no adequate warning that guests and their pets would be exposed to this level of risk in communal areas. We left immediately and are extremely disappointed not only in the condition of the grounds but also in the inadequate response to a very serious issue. I won’t be returning, and I would strongly advise other pet owners and families to think twice before booking.

I celebrated my 50th birthday at this tiny cabin. Me and two of three of my best friends had a blast! We were able to go fishing and trail walk, had a camp fire, and scavenger hunt, made s’mores, and cooked and ate great meals. This was my first stay at this tiny cabin franchise and I got hooked in staying at these cabins. I love them so much!

This was our 2nd stay in a Getaway now Postcard Cabin, once 3 years ago in GA and now here in TN. We love these tiny cabins so much and will continue to use them to literally getaway from everything (except this location). My husband and I both have heavy computer and phone based jobs, so it's nice to literally unplug and just enjoy each others company in the quiet outdoors. The ONLY complaint I have about this particular location is all around is literally CRAWLING with ticks, some so tiny you can barely see them. It's awful. We were there less than 12 hours and pulled so many off ourselves and our dogs it was beyond frustrating. For a dog friendly place, you'd think they'd find a way to at least do pest control on each site. I'm not naive, I completely understand you're in the middle of the woods, but ticks carry diseases. Our dogs are at least on flea/heartworm/tick meds but that doesn't mean a tick can't still latch on, which is difficult and painful to pull off longer haired dogs. We didnt get to spend ANY time outside other than their potty trips because of this problem. We had to check them nose to tail every time they'd go out, as well as ourselves. Please find a way to spray for ticks. We won't be back to the this location soley because of this problem, which sucks because other than the ticks, it was just as wonderful as we remembered.

Great little getaway from all the noise and chaos of life. The cabins are amazing and the setting is even better. Unfortunately, we did have cell signal so we were able to work a little but it just seemed to be less stressful and more peaceful at the Post Card Cabins. 10 out of 10!!!

Google
Dale Hollow Postcard Cabins, Nashville location, has officially earned 5 gold stars in my book! I initially booked as a new year getaway for us. A major snow fall happened the weekend prior to our stay, which left me adamant to even proceed with our travels / booking. I am beyond glad we powered through, because the snow made the seclusion even more beautiful! We were unable to explore to the trails to the extent originally imagined, however, waking up to such a breathtaking view truly met and exceeded expectations! We cannot wait to book again and explore Postcard Cabins for some of our travels in the future!

Yelp
Secluded and cozy glamping spot 2 hours from Nashville. Came with my partner for a two day weekend in Nov. and couldn't wait to check out the Getaway House after following them for years. Great pre-communication, lots of fun activities they provide for you, great recommendations for nearby spots, though I'd add Cryptid Cafe as a close option for breakfast and lunch! Everything you need for a simple time to sit back and relax.

Yelp
i like this place before, but new management is run by ai bots and they just steal your money and dont give two hoots. I accidently booked the wrong day and I tried to change and they just said no and kept my money. this is terrible.

Yelp
Stayed in a cabin at this location in 2021 and had no issues, thought it was great! I went again this past weekend, and had issues... Was headed to bed when I felt a bug crawling on my neck. No biggie, but I turned on the lights to see two little guys running away off my pillow. I was able to kill them and looked up photos online to identify the bug. They look like bed bugs to me!! Called maintenance, they came and saw no other bugs on initial inspection so offered me new sheets. I was already panicky about bringing them back to my house so I left in the middle of the night and started bed bug protocol right away. They just sent me over a report and said no other bugs were found. ‍ I'll post photos below of b, and I'll let you decide for yourself. They wouldn't offer me a refund so I won't be coming back.

Yelp
I loved staying at these cabins when they were under the ownership of The Getaway. Reservation policies were simple and straightforward. Now, under the new ownership, Postcard Cabins, there are several new restrictions and fees. My mother had open heart surgery which caused me to reschedule my reservation which led to me paying more than twice what I originally paid for a TINY cabins. It's no longer worth my time, travel, and money to spend what they are asking under new management. I will definitely be trying out their competitors.

Yelp
Teaching is a stressful job! Every break I get, I always make it a point to go somewhere to reset, rejuvenate and re-energize. If you are tired of staying in a hotel and want a different experience or lodging, try the Getaway cabins! They have several locations throughout the US. Here's the breakdown for you of the most important factors for a good vacay. PRICE: Let's be honest, teachers don't make the kind of money a doctor or lawyer make but that doesn't mean we can't have a great vacay on a budget! Since I had the whole week off for February break, I decided to book 2 days during the week which was only $99 a night. The cool thing is that there are no service fees, resort fees, or cleaning fees that you would find at an airbnb! There's just your typical tax fees added. Speaking of fees and prices, price will fluctuate based on the days you go. It's cheaper during the weekdays. Just check on the days and the prices will be displayed. Also the price varies at some location based on the " type of cabin" and views. Like a classic cabin or Starview is cheaper than a suite because it has less space. SPACE: Speaking of space, the typical cabin is spacious enough for two people. However, they also have cabins that have two beds ( bunkstyle) if you want to take your kids. There's not a lot of room to cramp 4 grown folks in there though. That's just my opinion. Other than that, the cabin has all the modern conveniences like a bathroom, table, and a kitchenette. We didn't feel crowded or lacking anything. We had plenty of space to cook and hang out inside. There's a cool patio and fire pit to cook smores or your meals outside if you have cabin fever! ENTERTAINMENT: There are books and a radio and that's about it in terms of entertainment. The radio actually was great because we played music as we cooked and relaxed. If you are addicted to your phone, be prepared for sketchy connections. They do warn you about that though. I was prepared by taking downloading movies on my laptop just in case I got bored. THINGS TO DO: Besides what I have already covered, when you book, they will list points of interest such as hiking trails, nearby restaurants or stores. For example, at this location we were close to one of one of the best lake in the US, Dale Hollow Lake. It was only 3 miles from Celine, TN where our cabin was. So if you love fishing and big lakes, make sure you check them out. If you are truly looking to commune with nature, lock away your phones( there is a lockbox for that), and just unwind, book your stay!

Yelp
my partner and I came here this past weekend for an anniversary/ early Valentine's Day trip with our dog and it was easily the best trip we could have asked for! it was the perfect mixture of nature and city for when we drove into Nashville! we just got back this morning and we're already talking about where we want to go next with Getaway!
