Postcard Cabins Mount Adams, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy

Wonderful stay! I'm so happy that Marriott joined this type of hotels. Cabin isn't big, but has enough space for two, certainly if they won't bring two big suitcases. Actually, cabins has everything you need, except plaid or blanket to sit near the fire in cold season. You will get enough heat from the front, but freeze can bite your back. So, a good plaid will help. Also, the wooden chairs that are near the firepit can be wet or frost in the morning. Again, plaid or extra blanket will help. So, please, consider to bring one for you. My wonderful stay at this place started with picturesque drive. I was driving at sunset time from Yakima direction. Far at horizon was Mt. Hood painted all gold by sun. Opposite to it, mt. Adams on other side was all grey and under clouds, but very brutal. I got cabine at far end, but it was easy to find. Cabins are well situated far from each other. The neighbor prior to my cabin was only seeing if I go all around my cabin to other side from entrance. The neighbor of next after my cabin was completely out of my sight. All neighbors were relatively quiet. The firepit was all prepared to start fire. All I did is unload my stuff from my car, grab beer and start the fire. After, I was sitting and enjoying warm fire, grilling hot dogs and enjoying peace and quiet. Notable, there's no connection at this particular cabins, so no internet and you finally can enjoy real things. Unusual experience these days. Cabin has a good heater, so you will feel warm and nice inside also. There is a small cooking stove inside, fridge, sink and table. Bathroom has toilet and shower, no extra sink. There's a set of 2 plates, 2 bowl, 2 cups and 2 glasses, one pot and one pan. I hope you will enjoy a good stay same as I did!

1 star because of the company, and not necessarily the product. The company used to be lovely - very customer oriented, and charming in style and communication. They even comped a free night to resolve a customer service matter, and I was told I had two years to redeem it. Once they were bought by Marriott however, company ethics completely deteriorated. They now charge a mandatory $40 "resort fee" for ancillary items that used to be optional add-ons. Their prices have skyrocketed from where they were just two years ago. And worse, their customer service team are now absolute jerks. I tried to use my comped night recently, and was told flat-out it wouldn't be honored. No reason other than they just set an arbitrary expiration date, regardless of previous promises made, and that was that. To be clear, Marriott owns the company, but it's still managed by Postcard Cabins, and their rude emails really were just infuriating. Scroll through all the lowest reviews here, and you'll see the same trend - cute locations, terrible customer service. Overnight, they went from a company that I was happy to support multiple times a year, even back to when they were called Getaway - to another exploitative, anonymous corporation. They won't see another penny from me, which really is a shame cos they USED to have a great product.

I have been coming to these cabins for many years now. I just had my first visit since being taken over and changed to Postcard and was sad to see many small and thoughtful touches that made it feel so special have disappeared. I brought my dogs and there was no dog bowl left out or local treats like in the past. The nice salt and pepper grinders have been replaced by small packets. Also there was a nice wad of chewing gum stuck to the A/C unit. It's still a beautiful location and a much-needed break from the world, but it's a bummer to see a decline in service quality after being taken over.

I meant to write this over a month ago when we stayed, but time slipped away from me. We came to bury my partner in Goldendale at the end of September and my friend and I got a queen bunk bed unit. It was the best little cabin experience I've ever had and I can't wait to come back! I loved the books and the snacks and the wall of windows by the bed. I'll be looking for excuses to go again and am referring all my friends there. Thank you!

The Postcard Cabin was adorable! The cabin itself was smaller than I was expecting, but for just 2 nights the size was manageable for 2 humans and 2 small dogs. We had a cute personalized welcome note from staff. The cabin had plenty of kitchen utensils and cookware. We do travel with our own skillet since we won’t use anything that is scratched up (for health reasons) and we were glad we brought that since the provided ones had several scratches. The area was under a burn ban, so we knew ahead of time that we wouldn’t be able to make a fire in the fire pit, which was a bummer. They did provide an electric grill as an alternative for cooking, which was thoughtful. But for the $35/day destination fee that included 3 packs of wood and a starter, I’m not sure getting to borrow an electric grill made me feel I got what I paid for. We did enjoy the 4 Vietnamese pour over coffees, 4 teas (2 caffeine free), 4 hot chocolates, a s’mores kit for 2, 2 smart pop popcorns, and 2 oatmeals that were also part of that destination charge. Pro tip: ask for your kit to be refilled early the next day so you are able to get use of the destination fee for each day. I’m not sure it’s an automatic refill even though the charge is there automatically. We stayed 2 nights and got 2 kits. I confirmed with Marriott prior to our arrival that WiFi was accessible at the cabin, and my partner confirmed the website advertised WiFi at the cabins. I had read reviews stating there was no cell service or WiFi, so since we both confirmed in different ways, I was hopeful there would actually be WiFi. Unfortunately, once we got out of cell service and to the cabin there was so WiFi (even though Marriott gave me the user name and password prior to arrival for our cabin). This was disappointing. I was wanting to unplug and stay away from social media and minimally be on my phone, but I was also in the process of planning a client’s Thailand trip and needed to be able to communicate with her over the weekend. We made the most of it and finished multiple books and enjoyed quality time together. There were supposed to be multiple hiking spots around the cabin, but without cell service we didn’t know how to access those trails. There was a mile loop inside the Postcard cabin area, so we enjoyed that while we were on site. Overall, the trip was a lot of fun, we enjoyed the cabin experience, but I will not return until WiFi is fixed. I prefer not to be that off the grid.

Charming cabins with well-equipped kitchenettes, comfortable beds, and a fire pit. Has peaceful setting and gives the chance to unplug. It was a birthday getaway for my fiancé, and he loved it—we’ll definitely be returning. There are plenty of hikes nearby to explore from the cabins.

Cute little cabines and truly a place to disconnect, but be warned that there is no internet coverage and the only way to get online is to visit the grocery store or gas station in town for the WiFi. Additionally the room feel much more dated compared to the rooms in Skagit Valley

I been to other Postcard Cabins, and this Mount Adams one also lives up to the name. Beautiful views, great locations and near many attractions, trails. I greta place to just disconnect and enjoy. The cabins a very clean and tidy. Unfortunately for our recent trip there was a fire ban. They left electric coolers outside as to compensate for those that were planning to cook outdoors at the fire which wasn't too bad, but would like to go back one day when there's no fire ban in place. Two recommendations for improvement: 1. Hot water doesn't last beyond 5 minutes for Ruth Cabin! Something to be aware of. It takes a good 20-30min to hear up between showers, but you'll only get 5min of hot water. 2. Electric vehicle charging stations. This place is far from many EV chargers. Postcard Cabins should have some form of EV charging on premise or even a third party EV chargers agreement on premise.
