Nestled in a vibrant pedestrian zone, this charming family-run hotel boasts classic Bavarian flair, hearty breakfasts, and easy access to local attractions.
Old rooms, curtains don't keep out the light, windows don't keep out the noise, neither do the doors. Bathroom also old with shower in tub, medium water pressure, no amenities.
Sheets and towels clean, floors could use a good cleaning. Mattress firm with huge gap between beds. No minibar, no AC. Wood doors with only one click lock from inside.
Church bells at 6 a.m. Limited breakfast choice, but OK.
Parking off site available.

Very good position in town. Central and comfortable. The room was spacious enough and nicely furnished with an old style. The hotel in general is acceptable and breakfast was good enough. No highlights no real problems. Average hotel. The room and bathroom were clean

Booked a single room for 82 euros. The entrance of the room was through the bathroom. No joke.|Wall to wall carpet with a lot of stains. |The curtains didn't keep any light out at all, so I was wide awake at 6.|The room is in desperate need of refurbishment. Paint coming off the door posts and heating. The heating which is extremely noisy by the way.|The hotel is expensive and they still charge you 3,20 for a bottle of water in the room.|When I complained about the room in the morning, the reaction was a staggering "this is tradition". I had no idea that a lack of hygiene is a Bavarian tradition. Some of the staff is rude and uninterested.|Breakfast is a laugh. |This hotel doesn't deserve 3 stars, not even 2.

That’s not even a hotel in modern terms. Everything starting from service, ending the rooms and other facilities are from an other decade. No minibars, airconditining. Can’t let windows open at night because there is no insect nets on the frame.

Room was spacious, good wifi and shower. Mattress was a little soft. Bottled water in the room is not complimentary, there are no refreshments (coffee or tea), no kettle too. Parking is at P11, a 3-5min walk to the hotel. Overall a good stay as a stopover.

Large room. Good TV and WiFi. Nice breakfast. Reception a bit chaotic. Hotel is right in the centre of town - walk out door onto main pedestrian area. Lots of local shops and restaurants including some great ice cream shops! Town on a pretty steep hill, including Main Street where hotel located but hotel has a car park on site.

The parking for this hotel is about 1 ½ blocks away from the hotel over cobblestone streets. There are two sections to this hotel. The first part in on the main street and the second part is about 2 blocks away with no elevators in this building. Make sure you know where they are going to place you. The room that we stayed was on the main street which had a very small elevator. The room was spacious, but the bed had a very old bed frame. It was two beds put together with exposed wood for about 2 feet from the headboard. The view from this room is a back alley with a stream running through it and the other window looked at a hallway from another part of this hotel. There is a good restaurant within the hotel. This is where the breakfast buffet is located which is very good. There is no safe in this hotel. We chose this hotel because it was in the centre of the town. The market street becomes a pedestrian zone after 10 a.m.

Very nice place, rooms up to date, clean, well appointed. Would stay again for sure! Breakfast was good and standard European, meat cheese bread. Dinner was good as well . Nice place to stay right in the middle of the historic section. They made us feel welcome even though we showed up as wet motorcyclists. Internet is VERY limited

Dishonest mangement.
I booked this hotel 9 months in advance. They waited until the last minute just a few days before my prepaid reservation to email me to tell me they pulled a bait and switch. They took it upon themselves to change my reservation to a completely different, cheaper hotel owned by them in another, less desirable part of town. They made up a ridiculous lie to justify it and when I pointed out the obvious holes int their lies they insulted my intelligence with more far fetched lies.
It cost me money to cancel the reservation and it cost me a considerable amount of time during my vacation on Easter weekend trying to make other arrangements that cost me a premium due to the last minute nature of my reservation on a busy week of booked up hotels. I visited the Kolberbrau on the same day I was supposed to stay and there was obviously no reason for them to do this to me other than they overbooked and decided to inconvienience someone who booked 3/4 of a year in advance.
I suggest you look elsewhere if you want to actually stay in the hotel you booked and expect the management to be honest.
