Posthotel Traube

Stayed for three nights and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel - quick check in, large room at the front recently decorated and with a new bathroom, on site free parking etc. The buffet breakfast was also very good with ample choice and a fresh orange juice machine. Staff were friendly and efficient.||It seems that the owners have made good progress with upgrading the premises as the car park appears recently resurfaced and the breakfast room is now on the ground floor. Yes there a few aspects outstanding and our bedroomroom did not have air con (which I personally don't bother too much about) but it is an excellent base to explore the area. The town is very interesting to walk round with some scenic paths, historic buildings and several good cafes and restaurants. We also had a day in Augsburg via the train - a great city to visit.

We stayed at this very nice little hotel for 3 nights from 31 August, The staff were fantastic and helpful, they allowed us to use there washing machines once they were finished with them, Car parking is free but limited, Wi Fi is good and the BF is also great. this hotel is located around the mid point of the romantische strasses, so its well located for touring the local areas.||The resturant on site is good and bar staff good. the room was spacious & clean with a kitchenette area and dining area. Lots of room.||Great place to stay...

A very nice hotel with comfortable rooms and a very convenient location. Perfect for both business and vacation. Also, has the best cook who will serve you all the best (and biggest) meals characteristic of the German cuisine.

This hotel was quite wonderful. It was clean. The staff was polite and helpful. The location could not have been better. Our evening meals in the dining room were of good quality and we enjoyed the company of other guests

A rather pleasant stay at this hotel in the centre of the town. Very popular with Airbus employees from the site a mile away.||There is an adjoining bar and restaurant on site as well as a good wholesome buffet breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff to help with any questions about the area you may have

Our family trip was cut dramatically short when my mother (only 69 years of age) broke her shoulder tripping in the poorly lit hotel entrance on a step that was marked by a string of lights. The lights actually made the step appear as if it was level with the floor. The local hospital emergency department was wonderful but the reaction (lack of) by hotel management to our situation was horrendous. Despite informing them that the broken shoulder required surgery and we needed to travel back to Canada, not once did they initiate checking on my mother to ensure her comfort or inquiring whether she needed anything. When I spoke to the manager about reducing the cost our 2 night stay (we didn't move hotels given the pain my mother was in) due to the severity of the incident, it was initially met with resistance. He eventually gave us 60 euros discount. He admitted that at times they average 2-3 falls/month in the hotel. "Accidents happen"' is what he said. What?! My mother's fall was not an accident but evidence that they need to do more to ensure proper lighting and marking of stairs. His excuse was that the building was 400 years old and therefore multiple elevated thresholds/steps throughout the building. He reports that the building meets all of the municipal building codes and so they don't need to do anything more. 2-3 falls per month (including local residents who attend parties at the hotel) and there is nothing else you can do? It is only a matter of time before either a tourist or even a local Donauworth resident has even more dire consequences as a result of an "accident".

Very good hotel and employees was friendly specially Mr Tomas also the room was clean And WiFi was perfect also the hotel is near to train station about 8 to 10 minuets walking. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The hotel has its own restaurant which has a lot of delicious dinner meals. Finally, the hotel was perfect and close to most of important shops in Donauwöth

I was just there for a drink in the beer garden. Sweet little open-air pub behind the actually hotel which is in the middle of the city. Great service and really friendly staff. Very well versed waitress and comprehensive selection of wine. I recommend visiting it and will come sure again.
