Pot 'n Plow

Arrived on a very busy Sunday. Place was packed. Food: ordered Italian Meatballs with spaghetti and Vegan Meatballs with spaghetti with a foccacia as a starter. Now we travelled 50km to the venue and arrived 2pm so we were starving. Drinks were served quickly, but had to send back a wineglass with lipstick marks on it for a clean one. Then we waited for waiter to return and 15 minutes later I found him again to take the order. Initially my partner ordered the veg lasagne but the waiter returned minutes later telling us that this item is not available and she had to start perusing menu again for something to eat. After waiting 45 minutes the starter still did not show up. The waiter told is that the kitchen was behind and it will take still some time. A manager intervened and we received the starter after 10 minutes followed by mains 5 minutes later. The food was at best average. The meatballs were oven baked like Ouma used to do it and was dense and did not complement the meal. The pasta was on point and sauce delicious. The vegan meatballs took so long sitting in the salamander that they disintegrated and ended up as a bolognaise dish. However it still tasted good. The venue has a roof which is transparent, so we sat for 2.5 hours in the sun and got sunburnt. No place to hide from the sun. They operated a jumping castle about 5m from where we were sitting and the fan motor made so much noise that there was no atmosphere to talk of as that was all you could hear. Suggestion: serve some breadsticks or foccacia when you arrive as to cater for the long wait. I accept that they were busy, but they always are so this is not new for them. I will go back for the pizza, but out of season when it is cooler.

Wow. What a tranquile place in the heart of Magoebaskloof. Surrounded by the mountains and the fresh air is just amazing. The ataff is super friendly and all of them asked if everything was "ok". They did not care if it was their table or not. The live music juat adds a diffirent vide to the place which was so relaxing. The food was just on a next level. I haveen here before but I must say the food this time was just amazing. This is a must visit place if you are around the area for a quick lunch or a relaxing long lunch or supper.

I know the place for the best pizza they make, today I also tried the rump steak- you guys have the best mouth watering and tasty food around. The environment is so welcoming…..Thank you for your fresh taste n treat❤️❤️❤️

We had very tasty pizzas on a thin base. Service was friendly and excellent with regular checking by waiters, chef and management if all is still OK.

Me and my wife visited Pot ñ Plow while on our honeymoon at magoebaskloof after the restaurant was recommended by our friends as having the best pizza in the area. We decided to give them a visit for dinner, and we are very happy that we gave them a visit. The location and atmosphere are great inside and outside. The staff is very friendly and provided great service. The drink was very good, as well the local beer that they are serving. The Pizza! Let me tell you about their pizza! We had high expectations after we heard that they had the best pizza, and we were not disappointed. I do see a few negative reviews about the staff not being friendly, the atmosphere not being great, and the long waiting times. But I did not experience any of these above-mentioned factors. I also saw reviews about racism at the restaurant, but with our visit, we saw people of different races having a great time at the restaurant. Please also remember that long waiting times for pizza are worth it, as you know the pizza will be made with attention and the real wood-fired way. I would recommend Pot ñ Plow for the best pizza in town.

If you ever find yourself in Magoebaskloof and do not visiting the Pot 'n Plow you are missing out. The most attentive managers/owners. The atmosphere is great and the food amazing. Thank you George and Lara for being great hosts and making you feel that every sent you spent is worth it.

A great place to enjoy a drink and pizza. The pizzas are delicious with interesting toppings. Not your traditional Italian pizza, but Pot 'n Plow has their own unique style, along with toppings you can add to your pizza. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Friendly staff. Some delays with food.

Went for a pre-wedding get together, waited a bit because there were about 60 of us but when the food came it was so very worth the wait!!😍 Everything that was ordered was delicious and very generous servings. Well done Pot 'n Plow!👏
