High in the mountains of Tibet, Lhasa stands as a symbol of spiritual seeking—a city filled with rituals, prayers, and devotion. The Potala Palace rises in majestic silence, bearing witness to centuries of longing for peace, enlightenment, and truth. And yet, even in all its beauty and discipline, this place echoes a deeper need—one that cannot be met by tradition or human effort. Only Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. No temple, no system, no meditation can bring the soul to God—only the cross. The Creator of heaven and earth, the one true God, has made Himself known not through monuments, but through His Son. In a land full of searching, the Gospel shines as the only light that truly saves. May every heart in every nation come to know that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved—the name of Jesus.

Potala Palace is one of the most beautiful and special places I have ever visited. It is very big and built on a high hill, so you can see the whole city from the top. The palace looks amazing from the outside, and the inside is even more interesting. There are many rooms filled with old paintings, golden statues, and things used by monks and Dalai lama. Walking up to the palace takes some time, and because the air is thin in Lhasa, it can be a little hard to breathe. But if you go slowly and take breaks, it’s not too difficult. It’s best to bring a water bottle and go in the morning when it’s not too crowded. The place feels peaceful and full of history. If you come to Lhasa, you should not miss this place. It’s a wonderful experience!

Most iconic palace in Tibet. Worth the visit. Took about 15-20 mins to climb up the steps.

This is a remarkably well preserved palace but not very many of the 900 rooms are open to the public. It's 300 steps up (and down) and if you have not acclimatized or are unfit, you will struggle with getting to the top. It's beautifully lit at night and in some respects looks better at night. You're not allowed to take pictures once inside the palace. Book your tickets well in advance to secure an entry time. Well worth the climb.

History and beauty combined. A must see in and out. Make sure you book at least 7 days in advance to get in.

A must visit. Go in and visit the whole place. U can understand their culture and history more. And the knowledge of the building.

An UNESCO site Lhasa not to be missed. You need to climb a little to reach the chambers and monastery, but it’s worth the climb. Great view of the city with snow cap mountains behind. Also don’t miss the water fountains show at the Potala Square, just opposite the Palace
