"Be a Potato Head in Bali Though it has a silly name, the Potato Head Beach Club on Seminyak beach is a cool spot to spend the day. A collage of antique 18th-century veranda shades surrounds an amphitheater-like space that contains a beach bar, a grassy lawn, and an infinity pool. Three additional restaurants (one homey, one Southeast Asian, one high-end) and a stellar concert lineup make Potato Head a destination, morning ‘til night. A soon-to-open boutique hotel will extend the party even further. Jln. Petitenget, Seminyak, Bali 80361, Indonesia, 62/(0) 361 473 7979."

12 Best Beach Clubs in Bali | Condé Nast Traveler

"A giant amphitheater built from brushed concrete and reclaimed wood, Potato Head bills itself as Bali’s home of tropical modernism. With daybeds positioned around the infinity pool, a swim-up bar, and three restaurants, Potato Head serves as the center of the island's creative scene, regularly hosting film screenings, cultural conventions, and world-famous DJs on its outdoor dance floors. The club and its surrounding complex of boutiques and coffee bars will drop the jaws of even the most jaded of travelers. You’ll want to clear your schedule to make the most of an afternoon and evening here." - Xerxes Cook

14 Best Bars in Bali | Condé Nast Traveler

"The club’s towering “amphitheater” façade of reclaimed antique shutters is likened to Rome’s Colosseum—the bar’s reputation in Bali is similarly iconic. Indonesian-built, sourced and owned, Potato Head is a sustainable multiplex of restaurants, bars and an infinity pool, packed with chilled, trendy clientele arriving from the greater Seminyak area or next door from Katamama, its sister boutique hotel. Not resting on its upcycled good looks, the bar’s cocktails are mixology-grade—like the vanilla tequila and arak-based Big Swirl served in a seashell cup—with a menu replete with illustrations and flavor profiles. Rotating music maestros range from DJs spinning mid-tempo grooves to Mark Ronson and Snoop Dogg bringing the heat to the island’s coolest beach club. Don’t miss it." - Travis Levius

Potato Head is one of those places that just gets it right. I went there, and honestly… it was such a perfect day. From the moment I walked in, everything felt smooth — the view, the music, the people, the whole vibe. Hung out by the pool, ordered a couple of cocktails, and just enjoyed the moment. The sunset from here? Absolutely gorgeous. It’s the kind of place where you don’t even check your phone — you’re just there, fully present, soaking it all in. The staff were also super friendly and helpful, but in a chill, not-too-formal way — which I really appreciate. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Bali. Come a bit early if you want to grab a good seat, and just enjoy the day. 🌞🌊🍹

Potato Head Bali is a popular beachfront spot that’s known for its vibrant atmosphere and stunning sunset views. The place is big, with plenty of space and a large parking area, though most people get there by motorbike or ride hailing apps. Entry is free before 4 PM, so it’s a good idea to come early to avoid the crowds and extra charges later in the day. When you arrive, security will check your bags and take away any outside food or drinks, so it’s best not to bring any. The view is definitely one of the highlights, and it’s a great place to relax and enjoy the sunset. The staff are friendly, but service can be really slow our sangria took over 30 minutes to arrive, which seems to be a common issue. The food and drinks are okay, but a bit pricey for what you get. Overall, it’s a great spot for the vibe and the view, but don’t expect quick service or budget friendly options.

Nice place with a great view good food and drinks. The entrance feels like entering a theme park. It all feels very grand. But for me a bit to mass touristy, that’s just personal preference. Prices are a bit steep for what you get though. For reference we had two ‘vitamin sea’ (Orange juice with herbs etc) and some nachos with toppings. Total was 580k. Views are great, nice location for a sunset dinner. The staff are amazing and you need to experience it for yourself.

Effortlessly Cool with Great Food & Vibes Potato Head Beach Club is everything you’d expect from a top Bali beach destination—super chill vibes, stunning design, and a great balance of atmosphere and comfort. We reserved a day bed from 10AM to 4PM and it was the perfect way to unwind. We went with the meat package, and the food did not disappoint—delicious, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was attentive yet laid-back, adding to the overall relaxed vibe that makes Potato Head such a favorite. If you're headed there, do yourself a favor and try the Monkey Business cocktail—smooth, fun, and just the right touch of tropical indulgence. Whether you're in Bali for the first time or a regular visitor, Potato Head continues to deliver that iconic Bali beach club experience. Would absolutely return!

Absolutely loved my time here. The ambience was lovely with nice beats playing. We went in the evening so we got to enjoy the sunset while we had a delicious dinner. The servers were attentive and friendly with our dishes served in great time. Everything we ordered was delicious and well priced. They even brought out a little dessert for our friend who was celebrating their birthday! Will definitely revisit when I’m in Bali again! Things to note: There is a cover charge to get in and a minimum spend to rent one of their day beds. Also loved that they provided buggy carts to take you closer to the main road to get your Grab/Gojek!

I honestly don’t understand the hype around beach clubs like Potato Head. The venue and design are truly impressive, they’ve clearly put a lot of effort into creating a beautiful space. But almost every comfortable seating area comes with a minimum spend, and it’s nearly $150 per person. We just wanted to cool off for a few hours and enjoy a drink and some food, not spend the entire day there. Because of that, we couldn’t sit anywhere comfortable due to the spending requirement. We ended up awkwardly eating pizza and drinking beer on bar stools. We did take a quick dip in the pool, but there wasn’t even a proper place to leave our stuff. Overall, it felt like a very inconvenient experience. It’s nice that families with kids are allowed, which is a plus. But unless you’re planning to spend the whole day and meet the minimum spend, it’s honestly not worth it. Also, you can’t even swim in the ocean due to the strong waves. After all the traffic and effort to get there, I’d much rather choose a more relaxed spot where I can sip my drink in peace without worrying about how much I’ve spent.

Nice Atmosphere overlooking the beach with a beautiful sunset view. Staff were friendly, the fully loaded nachos was good and very big place. We shifted to another side which was indoor and they serve seafood. Tried their today special fried prawn and it tasted very good.

One of the best beach clubs in Bali, not only for its beautiful design and atmosphere but also for the way they treat their guests. What I really appreciate is how respectful and welcoming the staff are—not only to tourists but also to locals. Sometimes, beach clubs can feel like they prioritize foreigners, but here, locals are treated just as kindly and warmly. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and attentive, making sure everyone feels comfortable and cared for. You can really feel that they value and support the local community, both in the way they interact with local guests and in how they incorporate local culture and sustainability into their concept. Overall, it’s not just a beautiful place to relax by the beach, but also a space that respects and uplifts the local people. Definitely recommended whether you’re a tourist or a local looking for a great beach club experience in Bali.
