This popular Copenhagen spot serves up crispy fried chicken and spicy tofu sandwiches, perfect for a satisfying street-side bite, though expect a wait.
Had to get the fried chicken sandwich from the Bear TV show. We ordered, waited about 15 minutes for the to-go bag, and then traveled about 30 minutes before eating it. The chicken was still crunchy. I don't know how, but it was so crisp with the juicy chicken hidden behind the layers of flavor. The spice was perfect, the creamy mayo and the pickles rounded it out well. It was perfect.

The best chicken sandwich I have ever had!!! I have come here many times and it is still so good!! This time when I came, for some reason the ratio was just perfect, the chicken piece was bigger than the bun and the mayo was just enough (usually it would be all over the sandwhich)

Overrated. Felt the oil stuck in my throat after 2-3 bites (check pic 2 for ref). 100% not worth the price; spiced, yet barely any taste (the chicken was not seasoned, only the breading) – it’s peculiar.
The service was kind and great, however.

The first time I tried Poulette was during their pop-up at Julius in Berlin last April. For the longest time, it had been one of the restaurants I was most excited to visit—and when they finally came to Berlin, I was first in line. In short: it was the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Juicy, perfectly crispy, just the right amount of spice, and beautifully balanced with the bun, lettuce, and cheese. It was perfect.
Naturally, when I planned my trip to Copenhagen, Poulette was at the very top of my list. But I’m convinced that whatever I ate today wasn’t the same Poulette. It tasted like something from a chain restaurant I wouldn’t even recommend to my worst enemy. The chicken patty was more fried batter than actual chicken—the chicken was thinner than the lettuce and nearly nonexistent. Every bite was just fried coating. On top of that, it was so spicy I was crying by the last bite, and I normally handle heat well.
Honestly, I’m still at a loss for words. I haven’t stopped talking about Poulette in Berlin since that first bite, so I can’t understand how the Copenhagen location—the original—missed the mark so badly. I’d recommend Berlin’s Poulette in a heartbeat. Copenhagen’s? I’d rather not talk about it.

Whoever is in charge loves smoked paprika- it’s so overwhelming and made both the burger and chips taste weird. You can also taste the oil on the burger like they haven’t changed it perhaps? Which made the huge bits of breading on the burger incredibly soggy (see pic 3)🫦 The staff were really nice, but unfortunately for 1599dk, it did not slapppp like it should have done/was hyped to. Good pickles though although matched with a 25 min wait id rather go to Morley’s.

Saw a TikTok about this place and just so happens is a 3 min bike ride from my apartment. Came at a good time as it wasn’t crowded. It is a hole in a wall as the food is good and it’s quite small. The combination of sweet and savory. The pickles have this sweet flavor that pairs well with the spicy chicken. The chicken is crispy and well seasoned. I love the fry and dip combo as well. It is quite expensive but everything is made to order.

Don't go out of your way just to visit this place. Mind boggling how this place is hyped. The fries were cold and hard, their combo menu doesn't include a drink which is fine, I guess. The sandwich just looks good and is edible at best if you can handle the spice. The wait is also too long just for 2 sandwiches and fries on the side considering there were only two people waiting before us. A huge disappointment.

It’s a take away place with a bench outside the shop. They serve two kind of burgers: chicken and Mapo tofu burger. They also have fries. I ordered Mapo tofu burger.
They had a long queue of people waiting for food so it took 30+ mins for the order toe arrive..It felt very greasy and didn’t match the hype of this place at all. Maybe the chicken one will be better but the tofu one lacked flavour. The cost is 95kr.
I went with a lot of excitement but was disappointed with the taste.
