Top of line: Visiting Hudson for the day? Make this your first stop!! Details: Where to begin?? The vibe is quietly upscale. The store design and layout are clearly well thought out. The process of creating a unique, one-of-a-kind and yes, bespoke luxury item was also very well thought out to maximize the experience. The end product is a deliciously smelling candle in a beautiful receptacle of your own choosing, elegantly packaged and ready for gifting. You should probably make two. The locally sourced beer, wine and light nibbles also contributed nicely to the experience. Shout-out: to staffer Cody, “The Nose”. His incredible ability to visualize a fragrance story, his passion for the product, and his friendly and collaborative style truly elevated the experience. Notes: The candle takes about two hours to cure. Plan to return to the shop after you’ve done the tour of Warren St. Or, you can arrange to have it shipped for a very reasonable fee. UPDATE: My candle arrived within less than a week, safe and sound and beautifully packaged. Also came with detailed instructions, which are quite helpful.

We LOVEEEDD the candle making experience! Cody was so knowledgeable and funny. We had an amazing time and ended up with wonderful candles! I highly recommend this activity. Even my dad who doesn’t speak english had an amazing time.

Had an AMAZING time at the PCB! This was something on our bucket list for a while as a date night and it delivered! We were walked through the process every step of the way! We got to create our own completely unique candle fragrances to match our mood! A wonderful atmosphere and a drink menu that also has NA drinks and a few small bites as well. Highly suggest making a reservation!

2nd time going recently- had an amazing employee help us. They were phenomenal about honing in what we wanted and enhancing other smells. And they upgraded their packaging since last visit and 5 stars on that.

We had a fantastic experience making candles for my birthday. Ricky was a huge help and walked us through the process making suggestions and giving advice on our scents. The candles are on the pricey side, but well worth it for the experience, which is unlike anything we’ve done better. It also makes me appreciate the talent it takes to make a great smelling candle! I would definitely recommend the experience and I want to go back for the next season of scents.

Yes do it! I originally thought this was just a candle place, but to my surprise you can even make your own perfume! Such a cute experience. The appetizers were very good and fresh. I surely would recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Staff explains processes well and gives suggestions (keep in mind you can only pick 3 scents to combine). The price point for perfume was $78 for perfume made by you and your own custom label to however you want to name it, priceless. As one of the workers made mention to me ... smells yummy 😋 I would surely order from them online as well to ship.

What a fantastic place. Stopped in while visiting Hudson for the weekend and it was a wonderful date with my husband. We're always looking for new experiences and this was unique and fun. Kristin was fab in guiding us through our decision-making process to make our candles the best they could be. It's also nice that they have wine/cider/beer as well to elevate the night. HIGHLY recommend for a date night, girls night, whatever!

This is the perfect activity to do while staying on Warren Street. We did a walk in candle experience and this was soo fun! (I'd advise you to make an online reservation as it was crowdef when we went). You have an instructor and get to smell 80ish scents and chose which three you'd like to make for your candle! Its mix and match and you can always swap a scent out that you chose to get the most perfect smell. It was so unqiue that you can chose which vessel you'd like your candle to be seen in (there can be an upcharge depending on which you chose). You can even make your scent become a diffuser or perfume!! Lastly, there are drinks and food avaliable. Come back after two hours and you're candle is ready to go home. Shout out to Val for being so kind and patient! If you go, try and request her! She will make your experience one to remember.

This was such a fun experience. I own @DoggieRoadTrippin on instagram and stopped in on a Road Trip through Hudson when I heard they might be dog friendly and they are! What a great experience. I got to combine scents to make my own candle and had a sip of wine with my dog! Highly recommend visiting this spot if you are in the area. Would totally go back and Kristen was a great host!

The BEST date idea ever!!!!!! My partner and I were looking for a weekday afternoon date idea during a trip to the area and I found this on Yelp! We would've came even if it was just candle making, but actually you get the option to make a candle, diffuser, or candle/perfume. It was soooooo fun and Cody was the best. He was so helpful and good at his craft.

Did the candle making with some friends, had so much fun. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful and really made the experience so enjoyable. Would definitely go again.

My boyfriend and I went to Poured as part of our anniversary trip, our scent specialist Cody was amazing! He was up beat, personable and got us super into the experience as well as helped us decide and narrow down on scents! He was fantastic! The place as a whole had a great vibe! Highly recommend!

Can I give this establishment 6 stars? My friends and I were in town and stumbled on this great place. You can make your own candle, perfume or diffuser and the prices were very justified. Cody took care of us.. not only did he walk us through each step, he did it with such patience and grace. We all picked different activities and yet we all came out with delicious smelling candles and perfumes. To top it all off, you can name your own item! Inside ambience is like of a bar with a fun activity. If you're in Hudson, go and have fun!

Such an amazing experience! Would highly recommend to couples, friend groups, Bach parties, and anyone looking to make a handmade, local gift for family or friends. We showed up for our Saturday, 12pm reservation about 10 or 15 minutes early and they were able to go ahead and get us seated. The reservation/candle making process is 45 minutes and then it takes 3 hours for the candle to cure once you pour them. We ended up being there from ~11:45am-12:45pm, from the time we sat down, to ordering a couple drinks, to finishing the candle and checking out. Then had lunch in the area and walked around until the candles were ready to pick up. Ricky, one of the owners, led our candle making experience and also gave us a run down of the menu (curated selection of New York State wines, 100% vegan appetizers). We ordered a couple drinks (loved the Baco Noir wine!) and the vegan nut cheese (so good). To start, you check out the assortment of candles on the back wall, arranged in sections that are depicted on your clipboard, and you check off smells you like. You choose a base, middle and top smell. Then, they help guide you on if they don't think the scents will work together, or if you should switch up the middle/top scents. You then get to mix and pour the oils and they'll add wax when you're finished. It's a really fun, hands on process that was super cool to do knowing we made them ourselves. Also LOVE that you can add your own candle name! This place is awesome and I'm looking forward to coming back.

Wow, I've been wanting to make my own candle for a while now but every place in NYC has been booked for the times I've wanted to go. I'm so glad I came here it was an awesome experience. It was so fun smelling the wall of candles and being able to check off the scents I liked. It was interesting though how the oils smelled a little different which made it challenging for me to pick a combination I really liked. The staff was super knowledgeable and helpful and gave advice for which direction to go in. I had such a great time and it feels so special to have a candle that I made myself. I highly recommend coming here

Poured Candle Bar is SO unique. It's in the heart of Hudson NY, just 3 hrs is north of NYC. It's retail, it's wine/vegan snacks, and the main thing - it's a custom candle / perfume / diffuser making olfactory experience! The people who help you design your candle / pick your scents are so lovely. There are 70 to choose from! You also get to pick your vessel. AND - you get to name your candle, they print you a custom label, and they number them as you keep coming back to make more. We got our shipped to us, which is an option when you do the experience later in the day. They can host parties and have hosted drag show events, too. PURE GENIUS all around! I'll definitely be back and bringing friends.

So fun! We were in town for the weekend and it was going to rain so we popped in here a made our own custom candles. Staff was super knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to and it was so fun getting to create your own scents! Ready in 2 hours so we were able to pick them up same day and get the train back to NYC no problem. 10/10 would recommend for any group, but would imagine it especially fun for wedding parties or big groups.

I have been to Poured twice now - once to make my own candle and once to get one of theirs. Both times I've been, Dennis and his team have been incredible! Making my own candle was such a special and fun experience. You get to sniff through dozens of top, middle, and base scents, and play around with which ones pair well together. I may be biased, but I think the candle I made is the best one I've ever owned! The atmosphere in Poured is also beautiful with all dark woods and vintage decor - it feels like being in a secret speakeasy. And while you're waiting for it to set, you can complete the experience by sipping on some delicious local wine. The candles they have created are also amazing - I really love the new Fall collection! Overall, I think Poured offers a really unique experience that you won't soon forget!

Came here on a day excursion, and this was definitely the most fun I've had in a long time. Their candle making experience is quite thorough. They go through all the fragrance combinations and help you make your desired candle scent. I've always wanted to do candle making, but I thought it would be challenging. This experience was extremely easy, and now, I know this difference between base, middle, and top notes. They even offer a nice selection of wines to drink while you're making your candle. They also do perfumes/ colognes, so I can't wait to come back and turn my candle scent into a cologne. After you finish making your candle, go grab a bite to eat in the neighborhood because it takes a few hours for your candle to "cure." Can't recommend this experience enough.

This was such a wonderful experience that I see many candles from poured in my future. My husband and I did the candle experience and it was so much fun mixing scents and sipping on yummy wine. The owners were so kind and knowledgeable and not to mention poured candle bar is dog friendly. One of my favorite moments in Hudson. We will be back soon!

Experience was fun but as a company that mostly caters to out of town folks you would think they would let you know the only time to pick up your candle was 11 on Sunday. We were planning on being out of town and if we knew that would likely NOT have proceeded with experience. No one told us at booking or until we already started the candle making process. We spent 200$ for two candles and two drinks and then emailed one to have the shipping fee waived as we could not pick up candle (again only option was Sunday at 11) and they insisted we paid for shipping. Not impressed with what we got for the money or with the customer service

I surprised my partner with a candle making experience at PCB & it was one of the best thing we did during our MLK weekend in Hudson! As soon as you step inside PCB you are greeted by amazing fragrances, which can sound overwhelming, but it's a candle lovers dream. All staff members were super friendly and resourceful. The lighting in the space is perfectly dimmed and sets a relaxing tone while you hand select your preferred oils. With the help of staff, I was able to combine oils to create a well balanced candle. I highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to learn something new.

I was visiting friends in Hudson for the weekend and we randomly popped in here after walking by. We ended up each making a custom perfume and had SO much fun! The process is pretty simple but picking your scents can be a little overwhelming and the staff was so helpful and incredibly patient with us, even as it got closer and closer to closing time. This is such a cool place and definitely worth checking out if you're spending the day in Hudson

Unique, imaginative and interactive wine bar with two amazing hosts who are inspired and engaged in their business. To top it off, they loved our two little dogs and made them feel at home while we snacked on plant based appetizers and enjoyed glasses of delicious, balanced NY State wines. We can't wait to come back and make a candle next time. Perfect date place.

We had a BLAST!!! Such a fun and unique experience. Cody helped us and did not disappoint. We got the brass booty candle and they were able to ship it to us. We will be back!

This could've been a great experience. The space is great, and it's a fun idea to craft your own candles with different scents at a wine bar. However, our experience was ruined by the woman (Andrea?) who assisted us in the candle making process. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. My boyfriend and I were trying to finalize our scent combinations, but instead of helping, she became condescending and snotty that we were taking "too long" to try out different scents. "You better have finally figured out what you want", she barked. The actual oil/wax pouring portion was even worse. We poured oil into small beakers 10 mL at a time. Andrea arrogantly scoffed at us several times for being 1mL over or under, and rolled her eyes when she then poured out our candles and made us start over. The same thing happened when we attempted to center the candle wick. Needless to say, this all made for a very unpleasant and uncomfortable experience. The couple seated beside us even leaned over several times to say, "Wow, this is lady is such a (insert expletive)" Perhaps this woman was having a bad day, but her behavior and attitude were unacceptable. We won't be back.

Are you kidding me?! This place is everyone's dream. It's beautiful, sciency, and creative all wrapped into one. Not to mention you're able to drink while you make beautiful candles just the way you want them. Cannot recommend this place enough. The staff are perfect and make the experience that much more special

Really nice place and set up. Lots of choices. Thought i would get to do a bit more action, all you really do is pick the smell combination with the help of staff. Staff was great they do take their time with you. However because you only pick the smell you don't take the full time being there and kind of feel like "that's it?".

What a fantastic experience I had here making perfume ! This was actually my second time as I loved the scent I made so much that I came back to make two more bottles. The owners are delightful and so is the staff in general. I came alone and felt so welcome and comfortable. This is a remarkable spot that I actually traveled to from NYC ! Stumbled upon this place in the middle of the day while walking down Warren St. I love candles so my boyfriend and I decided to take a swing at making our own! We each made one because there are so many scents to choose from, we knew we'd never be able to agree! Dennis was so nice and helped us choose scents that would pair nicely together based on ones we liked. We also got to enjoy a drink and a tasty snack as we made our candles. We had such a lovely afternoon, the next time we're in Hudson we'll definitely be back!

What a cool experience! As 2 couples looking for something fun to do, this was the perfect activity! One of the owners was there and was really nice, helped us through the entire process. We got to pick our oils, mix them, watch the wax get poured. You even get to name your candle and they print a personalized label for your candle. Such a one of a kind experience! Highly recommend!

Fun and interesting afternoon activity! We wandered in on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, and didn't need reservations. Ricky and his team were helpful and knowledgeable about the different scents that we were able to choose from. We had yummy adult beverages too and it was a great way to spend some time. What a fun unexpected activity while visiting Hudson. Basically you get to make candles, have a drink , and hang out in a really elegant space. The whole entire experience was perfect from beginning to end from the way the owners explain the process, to the choosing of scents to the pouring of wax. I can not recommend this place enough and the owners are so kind,patient and you can tell they really love what they do. If I could give them 10 stars I would!!!!! Do not skip this if you are in the area.

What a beautiful store and fun experience! We were staying in Hudson for a wedding and decided to check out PCB during our downtime on a rainy day. Recommend calling an making a reservation in advance vs walk in as it seems like they book up quickly. The owner was extremely accommodating with our party of 6 (making 4 candles). He was friendly and answered all of our questions while walking us through the steps of personalizing our very own candle. There's also a bar there so you can have drinks and snacks while you're there. Prices start at $45 and include the candle making experience, customized label, and votive of your choice. It was a lot of fun and I'm glad we decided to try it out!

We had an excellent time. Ricky made my first and my wife's second adventure here amazing. Super helpful and friendly with all my questions and suggestions. Fun to make very different scents at the same time. Cool atmosphere, relaxed. Will definitely return for more candle fun. Side note, candles are obviously not set immediately. As they are made with hot wax. So plan accordingly for a pick up later.

This place was just fantastic. I made a last minute booking for a bachelorette party and they were able to accommodate us. the experience was fantastic. Ricky and Dennis are just amazing warm people, had us all laughing and enjoying our time. The wine selection is fantastic, so many fragrances to explore and choose from. Overall just an awesome time and I would highly recommend and I plan on going back soon.

This is such an amazing experience - can't recommend it highly enough. Dennis and Ricky are consummate hosts and the whole staff there is wonderful. I realize it can be intimidating to build your own candle but armed with a glass of wine and their expert help you are in great hands and the whole experience is a blast.

We went here during Covid for the make-your-own-candle activity. You basically concoct a candle by choosing 4 scents among a selection of 80 different ones. Shout-out gardenia. You learn a lot and get to take your candle home at the end for $45. They give you a label which tells you what's in it so you can reorder your signature scent in the future. So cool! It's a lovely experience and Ryan truly made it that way for us. He was a really fantastic host. What a beautiful inviting space and novel idea. It will also make us remember our time in Hudson every time we light it up up up. No need to book in advance, we just walked in like Joe Pesci in Casino...if Joe was into making candles with Robert DeNiro, Sharon Stone, and Don Rickles.

What a great experience! I've been twice with a group and this is always a great time. The decor and ambience are out of a holiday movie, and I love the experience of choosing scents and making a candle while sipping on local wines. The owners and their staff are also very welcoming and really seem passionate about what they do. Absolutely recommend!

A really great experience. We walked away with two candles that we very much treasure--so much that we don't want to light them! They smell great even without lighting them. The staff is incredibly attentive and helpful. We will definitely go back on our next trip to Hudson.

Awesome experience. I booked this for a Mother's Day surprise. The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive, and they made sure we had a fun experience. Just make sure that you know in advance that your candles won't be ready for about 2 hours after you make them. I also love that they have mocktails. I was driving and couldn't have a drink, so it was a nice option to have a mocktail instead! Thank you for a great Mother daughter activity!

Excellent, fun and novel experience. Wholeheartedly recommend this place. We happened to wander into this store and we are so glad we did. The three guys that own and run the place are extremely helpful, professional, down to earth and enthusiastic about both their business and ensuring you have a great time and experience. You get to create your own scented candle by selecting from and mixing any number of scents from their scent wall. If you're like me and do not have a 'nose' for pairing scents, don't worry, they make it easy to do, and are very good at giving you guidance when you need it, and space to do your own thing, when you don't. Their hygiene and safety measures were excellent - the staff wore their masks at all times, had Perspex to separate staff from customers, and were sure to sanitize the candles and stations inbetween guests. It took us around an hour to complete, though my understanding is you can certainly do it more rapidly if you are in a time crunch or can linger if that's your preference. A selection of alcohol, soft drinks and snacks are available to complement the experience, along with uplifting background music and a modern yet warm ambiance and decor. And the finished product...? The candles smell absolutely amazing - equal to or better than anything I would buy in a store - yet made by me (!) and GREAT value for money. In a town full of antique stores and restaurants, this is something incredibly different, and a welcome find. A real gem!

This was definitely an interesting fun experience! The process of smelling and creating your personal candle with a drink was very fun. I made the reservation online a few days prior and was surprised it cost $125 for two people but I wanted a fun experience to share with my boyfriend. When we arrived there was no wait and they explained the process and we got to work. For the price to not include any drinks or snacks and then told we could pay additional prices for alternate candle vessels; I felt it was very overpriced. The candles are nice and the custom label is cute but at the end of the day $125 for two small candles and then paying an additional $50 for two drinks and crackers... I wasn't blown away.

We had a great experience this weekend at Poured Candle Bar. The ambience and space are both beautiful and Dennis went the extra mile for me and my fiancé, dropping off our candles for us at our hotel. Definitely drop in, have a glass of wine, and don't be afraid to ask for advice while mixing your scents! The packaging and candles themselves are top notch, and create a perfect keepsake from your time in Hudson.

Walking into this bar you are transported to sensory utopia. The smells, lighting, music, drinks, and staff are all incredible. The owners take pride in their shop and are there to guide you in every step of the process. I had such a fun time and my candle is both beautiful and smells great. Thanks for an amazing experience! Great experience!! The staff were incredibly friendly and we are so glad we found this place while walking along Warren Street. We will definitely be recommending this to others. We went on a Sunday morning and had mimosas/bellinis while we made our candles.

What a fun and enriching way to spend a birthday. Took my two adult kids and husband for a birthday weekend in Hudson. I was worried when I initially booked the experience that there wasn't enough involved in making a candle -haha...my husband spent 45 minutes alone just choosing scents (he does have a bit of a "nutty professor" side) and the staff was so patient and so informative. Another top note (see I am already making candle puns) was that the experience was very meditative and relaxing. It really asked you to be in the moment, and to stop and smell the roses (and elderflower, and lilac and lavender). My kids happily stowed their phones for the entire time. Choosing names for our candles was a blast. My daughter created one that smelled like a forest in the rain. She named it Trossachs after a Nature Reserve in Scotland. All in all a great family time, and as we drove back to New York later that day, we all agreed it was the best experience of our entire weekend. Next time I am booking the experience with my girlfriends so we can all enjoy the wine bar and tapas. Good job Poured Candle Bar
