This is a nice thematic Inn with some objects related to Santos Dumont and his airplanes. You may see them in the common rooms. The room we stayed was decorated with some old brochures related to this theme.||||Place is around downtown, in a extremely quiet street. The heart of the historic center is 2-3 km away. Good place to relax after a day walking around the old town.||||Room ("luxury apartment" -- check for other options) had TV, A/C, fridge. Good space. Nice bed. Everything very clean. Just one towel rack in the bathroom. Soaps are provided but no shampoo.||||Breakfast was basic, good enough.||||There are a few (paid) parking lots inside but I saw no problem in parking the car outside in the street.||||Overall I'd say it's not a budget option -- I guess there are no (good) budget options in Petropolis downtown -- but still a good choice.

The place has some decent and clean rooms at a quite street 1km away from Petropolis main attractions. It had a good breakfast buffet and a swimming pool on the roof. I think it lacks some better quality materials in the rooms and bathrooms - everything VERY basic - which is too much for the bit over USD100 charged. The people were very polite!

Came to Petropolis for one night with my wife after there were no rooms in all of Rio because of a corporate Oil convention. Was pleasantly surprised with Petropolis and was lucky enough to come across this well hidden B&B style hotel. Both hotel and rooms were very small and cozy. Very clean. Nice pool in the back that no one used other than us. A bit overpriced, but so was most of Brazil.

The 14bis was a nice little pousada slightly out of the centre of Petropolis. Front desk was helpful, and always helped with luggage. The room (suite 1) was a decent size and clean, although the window rattled and needed securing. Breakfast was OK, nothing special. Pool at the back that would have been used, had we been there in the summer. We were quoted R$15 to park our car, however parked on the street outside the pousada and it was fine.||||Booking was inconvenient (had to pay 50% in advance by bank transfer to secure the booking, credit cards not accepted for the deposit and were subject to a 10% surcharge anyway. No online booking facility.)

14 bis is a decent place to stay, but not more. It is clean, friendly and comfortable, has a pool in the back and serves a good breakfast buffet. But it´s not one of those cozy places in Minas. It is supposedly family run but everytime I walked past the reception, someone else was there and I had no clue if employee or family. Felt like they get commission for sending you to the churrascaria for dinner. I´d give the town of Petropolis a miss altogether and head straight to Minas Gerais.

We have to make an option to stay at this Bed and breakfast because our preferred hotel was full.||||It is a very interesting thematic hotel with several objects of Santos Dumont , a brazilian pioneer on aviation.||Decent and clean, but could be better.||Few parking spaces inside, and charged, but there is a parking lot at the same block not hotel owned.||Poor service at front desk, be prepared to carry your own luggage.

Cozy place to stay in Petrópolis, and the price is really good.
