Lovely little hotel, really friendly welcome from the younger guy and the other staff were really friendly too. Amazing sea view from the breakfast area. Really really good value for money!

We were first given a beautiful, cheerful balcony room, but the a/c wasn't strong. We were warned that another room downstairs had good a/c, but was much smaller and no sea view. We seniors like our comforts. Sadly, very sadly, we had to go with the small, inside room due to sleeping comfort at night. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast changed a little each day. The location is prime! Walk out the door and a bustling street greets you. There are good restaurants nearby. Walk further to a busy local park where families and food vendors mingle. Signs suggest walking to various popular sights. The owner is a lovely woman who bought the charming boutique hotel in 2022. The helpful staff adds to the welcoming attitude.

We stayed 1 night and arrived early (8am) after a long night in a bus. The owner greeted us warmly and offered us breakfast while we waited for the room. Breakfast was very well done with a nice selection of fruits, cakes and local foods- good coffee too! We got access to our room an hour later. The hotel is perfectly situated in the old city, it’s quiet, safe and you can walk around at most hours. If you stay any closer to some of the main squares you might find it quite noisy, so definitely consider the street this hotel is on. The rooms are clean and air conditioned. We didn’t have hot water (it was broken), but the owner offered us a separate bathroom to use. The next morning we had an early flight and we were able to eat breakfast just before 7am. Would definitely stay here again!

My mum and I just spent 4 nites at this gorgeous pousada (like a b&b) and absolutely loved it. It is located around 10 -15 mins walk from the centre of the historical district, so as long as you don't have mobility issues it is a perfect locaton and very quiet (apart from the dogs barking next door).Had booked a standard room via hotels.com but ended up upgrading as offered upon check in to the oceanview room, at an extra 30 reals per night was worth every penny. There was a lovely hammock to use and the balcony was spacious and a perfect place to watch the sunset. The breakfast on the sunny terrace was delicious with plenty of fresh fruit and treats, we even saw a little monkey and lots of hummingbirds too! Nilson was a great host, very acommodating and friendly and he picked us up and dropped us at the airport for an extra 100 reals each way. It is a shame we do not speak portugese as I'm sure he would have had some stories to share. Vivien at reception was also excellent and speaks very good English, she helped us a lot with reccommendations of restaurants and things to see and nothing was too much trouble. The only downful to the property is the wifi,it is only available in the common areas (no wifi in room) and the signal is very poor snd cuts in and out, which was a little stressful when we needed to book onward flights and travels. Also make sure to not leave any food in the room as we had some fruit and were invaded by ants. Overall a very charming place, Salvador is fantastic and you will love your stay here.

We loved our stay here. The room was big and it had a great balcony. The breakfast was excellent.||The location is very good, and the street it's on was very safe to work around day or night.||There are quite a few good restaurants around the hotel within a 5 min walk so definitely ask for recommendations at the pousada.||The only downside I can think of is that the wi-fi didn't work in the room but it worked fine around the reception.||We'd definitely go there again.

We very much liked our stay at Pousada Beija Flor. The place is in a quiet area of the historic centre of Salvador but still within walking distance. The owner, Nelton, is very charming. He doesn´t speak English but his son does and he helped us with all our questions. The breakfast is excellent with lots of different kinds of fresh fruit and is served on a great balcony with a view of the harbour. The room was small and had no outside window but it was nice and clean and the most inexpensive of the place so no complaints. Wi-fi was a bit poor but then again should you really spend your vacation on the internet? Should I happen to be another time in Salvador I would always return to Pousada Beija Flor.

Location is okay if you want to spend a few days near town. The pousada is well kept, but too dark. Our room only window faced the hotel corridor, so no privacy at all. They have some ridiculous rules, and be prepared to be get ‘the’ treatment from the owner/feel unwelcome if you break them. The breakfast was nice. Not good value for money

This place is just great and in a perfect spot to start exploring the city as it is in walking distance to many attractions and the Centre. You do feel safe and comfortable with rooms overlooking the harbor and sea. Breakfast was nice with a lot of fresh fruits, cakes, bred, etc and in combination with hummingbirds feeding next to you on the balcony. Personal has been helpful and polite and reception was occupied 24h. Recommended to spend your days in Salvador at!

Yelp
Even though we had to give up a balcony suite with a sea view and hammock due to a weak a/c, our second room was on the ground floor so I didn't have to walk far with my injured foot (from a previous fall). It was also close to the breakfast buffet/patio with a nice sea view. The lovely owner bought this charming boutique hotel two years ago (2022) and adds to the welcoming atmosphere. I had favorites on the breakfast table: soup! and those fun little bites of savory or sweet goodness and my very favorite, the savory heart-shaped cookies! The other cookies on the same plate were peppery good, too! The street was busy with mostly young people in their cool casuals heading up and down the street. This is a really nice location with easy access to the sights and good restaurants nearby. There's a local park/playground down the street where you can get a nice local vibe amongst the families and food vendors. When we left, the owner kindly handed us little bags of the savory cookies that I had raved to her about! I Salvador!!!
