Ricardo at the reception was absolutely THE BEST! He made our stay extra comfortable and was so helpful with all our bags and baby items. The location is one of the best we have been in Portugal, so refreshing and staff are really nice! Will absolutely come back and definitely recommend!

Excellent views, with an excellent welcome package. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable of their surroundings. A place where you can accomplish a well deserved rest and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Plan to return for extra time.

What an amazing place. Beautiful location and wonderful hotel with gorgeous views. It’s a European Historical Site. Close to the village of Geres with its famous mineral waters. The property is a little outdated and doesn’t have accessible infrastructures so wheel chairs or baby strollers will not work to walk around and get to the rooms. Highly recommend coming here for the views, hospitality, and breathtaking setting, and casual yet professional and attentive service.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We had a fantastic time. Well worth the drive from Porto spend a couple days if you can. A GEM!! The scenery is spectacular.

Very cozy hotel with picturesque views from the rooms. The staff is very polite and helpful. This hotel is mainly reachable by car, just as the hiking areas around.

A hidden gem, this lodge is well-appointed and exceptionally staffed. A true hilltop oasis near the National Park. We enjoyed every moment, including the complementary buffet breakfast and a wonderful dinner!

We were on a month long trip to Portugal in May. Made all of the traditional stops with a few off the beaten track, but not to be missed, stops. Stayed 3 nights at Pousada Canicada-Geres so we could do some hiking in Portugal’s National Park (Peneda-Geres). What a beautiful place to stay. Comfy sitting areas with fireplaces. Amazing views from our balcony and from the hotel in general. Delicious breakfast with many choices ( fresh fruit, breads, eggs, cereals, fresh yogurt, cheeses) . Friendly staff. We arrived late and we were met with a warm welcome despite the hour. Great place to stay.
