Pousada Charme Fonte do Boi

This is a nice little hotel. It is close to beaches, bars, and restaurants. I was here in the low season so it was very quiet. The rooms are a good size and very clean. The breakfast has a lot of options such as fruits, breads, cereal, juices, and eggs. The rooms have a small tv and small refrigerator with soda, water, and beer.

We spent three nights , the location in Rio Vermelho is excellent, there is a beach nearby, small shopping center next to the hotel with many restaurants (japanese,vegan,local,italian...) and more important - most of the buses in each direction pass by, so reaching Pelourinho‬‏ or else was really easy.1 hour walk to Barra Beach.||The staff d'ont speak English but very kind and helpful, we stayed in the first floor, the rooms are facing parking / entrance but it is not tragic because there is no much traffic, the neighborhood location is safe, the rooms are large and old with charm,bathroom small ,dining room on the roof and requires a renovation, a rich breakfast. The wifi is excellent only on the roof||We paid rb144 per night

I can warmly recommend this pousada for a place to stay in Salvador. It is a bit further from the downtown but traveling within the city is easy on the local buses. Additionally, the area of Rio Vermelho around the hotel is tranquil and a good base to explore the city's nothern beaches. The rooms are not very spacy but comfortable and kept clean. The staff is nice and helpful even if not always fluent in English. The breakfast is served in the hotel roof terrace and is always fresh and has a good selection to choose from. I would definitely go again!

This is a family run business, it is clean, cool and very friendly. ||||I arrived late at night after a long flight from New Zealand. My credit card wouldn't work and my luggage had been lost. The staff were sympathetic and one of the other friendly guests leant me some clothes. ||||The breakfasts are fresh, simple and delicious. Juice, cereal, fruit, coffee. I was in Salvador for a conference at the big Pestana hotel and the people staying at Pestana were jealous that I had found this lovely little Pousada. I definitely recommend staying here.

A nice simple hotel close to the ocean, and close to other hotels and nightlife.

Great place! You shouldn't miss it. The receptionists are kind.
