"In a 15th century convent, designed in its day as a place for meditation and rest. Its comfortable interior preserves paintings and features from that era. Modest rooms. Attractive restaurant in the cloister." - Tablet Hotels
We were a group of 8 cycling through the Alentejo region and this was our first stop. The convent was selected by our bike tour company and we loved it. What a perfect location for exploring Evora. We could walk to shopping and each of our restaurants and there is lots of good sightseeing. The hotel was extremely comfortable after cycling long distances and so beautiful inside. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They found a good outdoor patio for keeping our bicycles and we really enjoyed the delicious breakfasts each morning. We didn’t get a chance to use the outdoor pool but it looked nice. We just had 2 nights here and there was so much to see and do in the town of Evora after our cycling each day. It is a beautiful area of Portugal and this hotel is perfect place to stay.

The ratio quality/price was good, the breakfast was very good, the bed was little hard but comfortable. The carpet of the room was not so clean (we believe it should be removed). Be aware the rooms with pool view: they can be a bit noisy because of the engines of the kitchen and the pool system. However, if you close the windows and use the AC you can avoid this inconvenience. The staff was very polite and helpful.

We had a fantastic experience at this beautiful and historic Pousada hotel. The front desk staff were exemplary at all times from welcome to check out. Breakfasts were delicious and the location and atmosphere were spot on. We were even upgraded to the master suite! Evora is stunning with lots of options for day trips ✨️ thank you 😊

Loved the peaceful atmosphere of the convent and the pleasant front desk staff. We found the Maitre D in the restaurant to be pushy and obnoxious. He was not able to accept the fact that we are light dinner eaters and are particular about what we eat. He took offense at our choices and brought items we didn’t want….we would not eat there again. There are much better places in town if you can wait until after 7:30 pm.

What more can I say, but you're sleeping in rooms that monks actually slept in. We loved it here for the one night. This is a 15th century property! Next to a cathedral and roman temple, what more could you want. Rooms are small (as expected) but nicely updated. Reception was very pleasant and helpful. Parking is minimal, but on the street with a pay station nearby. I did get lucky finding a spot though. After that you can walk around to the sights. Be sure to visit the bone church by the way. |This city is as all the reviews describe and this hotel is the perfect place to stay when there.

The location is perfect. Next to the cathedral. Parking is free in a nearby parking lot - or you can pay 20 Euro to park at the pousada. We parked at the free parking lot - and it was very fine.|Reception very helpful. Our room was very small and the bathroom also very small. Bed was too hard for us - so not a very good sleep.|Buffet breakfast was very fine.|There is a small swimming pool.

This review is for the charming restaurant inside the convent. The waiters were nice, professional, and respectful. They make you feel like royalty. The complimentary appetizers were generous and delicious, and the main dishes were just as tasty. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely welcome to the Pousada for our 4 night stay from Telma . We stayed in a superior room which was what we expected from the photos on the website . Pousadas are generally full of character and are a little quirky and this one was no exception. It’s right in the historic centre so restaurants etc are all nearby. We had dinner on a couple for nights which was nicely served . The breakfast was very good with lots of choice and we were welcomed with a smile from João every morning . We used the pool and also the bar by the lobby. We had a great stay here and would recommend it for a stay in Evora !
