Pousada do Ouro

We stayed for a night in this gorgeous quaint hotel in the historical part of Paraty and it was stunning! |The bed was comfortable and the staff were rather pleasant. The room was spacious and lovely and it was situated in a convenient area. ||The men who carried our luggage were sweet too and I spoke a little French with one of them. ||I really recommend this place.

We stayed 4 nights at this Pousada and had 5 rooms for a large family group |I cannot fault the place . In the centre of the historic part of Paraty . Beautiful rooms . We had some larger and smaller rooms at different prices , any room in this hotel is good . ||The owner is present and interacts with the guests. ||Because of the location you have to understand that there will be a bit of street noise.. if you sleep v lightly and need silence at night then perhaps stay outside of the historic part of town .||We had a delicious breakfast with a lot of options every day|There is a nice pool area |The hotel lend you beach bags and towels for outings. |Reception speak English. A bit rare in Brazil . ||Excellent stay .

Our stay at Pousada de Ouro was exceptional for several reasons. First of all, the hotel is located in a beautiful complex of typical houses of the time, with attention to detail, it was very clean and had all the amenities to make the stay perfect. On the other hand, we had a problem with the rental car, and Alessandra helped us with all the conversations and subsequent transfers to the different places on our trip. All the hotel workers are extremely friendly and willing to lend a hand. I recommend staying at Pousada do Ouro and would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful hotel - deserves more stars! Reception staff and room cleaning staff especially are very friendly and welcoming. We were made to feel special for celebrating our anniversary. Photos do not do justice to how beautiful the rooms and shared spaces are - would book to stay here again

Excellent costumer service. Rooms are lovely, pousada is well maintained and located at the heart of historical Paraty. Linen is absolitely imaculate, clean, fresh, welcoming staff. Reception desk was always ready to assist, staff are well trained, polite and flexible.

This is a charming inn in two historic buildings in the old town center of Paraty. The staff were so helpful and accommodating, especially Isabela, Maria, Filipe and Joana (?). The common areas are beautifully appointed, and the rooms are nice. The breakfast is very good, too.||I got a massage at the spa, and it was one of the best massages I’ve had. Both the treatment and the atmosphere were really special.

Very very nice, unique, charming place in historic centre of Paraty. Old school building totally refurbished into stylish hotel. Big rooms, excellent breakfast, super kind service and personnel. Swimming pool, sauna, cosy bar. All that you need and want for a careless stay in beautiful Paraty.

We had a lovely time at the Pousada do Ouro. Everything was great - the room, the location, the pool and everything else. The people could not have been more lovely and kind. A special thanks to Isabella and Filipe for their kindness and rescuing my backpack which I stupidly left in a cab. Also a special thanks to Junior for his friendship, explanations of the birds and of course the caipirinhas!
