This pousada deserves more than 5 ⭐s!
Hands down the best stay I’ve had in two years of travel! It felt like I found a home and a family, too. It's no wonder repeat guests come back every year to visit.
Location- Tucked away on a cozy residential street, with many nearby bars, restaurants, cafés, grocery stores, and gyms. A short, 4-minute walk will get you to Paulista Avenue and the metro.
Breakfast - A filling buffet of fruit, cereal, breads, juice, coffee, cake, hot chocolate, cookies, yogurt, ham, cheese, with the option to order eggs.
Family - The pousada is family owned and operated. The family do not live on-site but are nearby and always ready to help with anything you need. There are staff on-site to serve your needs 24/7. It's clear that the employees and family have mutual love and respect for each other. That care carries over to guest treatment.
Property - The property has a garden, driveway, dining room, two living rooms, kitchen, and workspace. The rooms and bathroom are large and clean compared to anything I’ve experienced in Brazil. The wifi is fast and I took my Portuguese lessons online (video calls) without any issue.
Atmosphere - Calm. Relaxed. Peaceful. Cheery.
Cleanliness - Impeccably clean.
Sleep - A+. My partner and I rented a private room with both a large and small bed. Both were comfortable and despite a nearby hospital, we found the street quiet enough.
Safety - This neighbourhood is mixed in terms of wealth and lifestyle. But I never once worried about my safety. The front gate is accessible by door code and someone is at the front desk 24/7.
