There are so many places to stay on this beautiful little island. My brother randomly booked this hotel for my wife and I not knowing how good or bad it would be, and thankfully it is a very nice accommodation. It is set back from town where all the action is, but set back on this island is a ten minute walk from the beachfront. ||||The owner and his wife are really friendly and speak great English, but most of their staff only speak very limited English, so when we arrived we had to wait a little while they tracked down the owner. We didn't mind a bit though as it really should be on us to learn some of the local language than expect everyone to be fluent in English. One of the owners, Vivian, is well travelled and so she totally understands the needs of traveling guests. She knows all the best places to go, and where to eat on the island. She's also very friendly one evening I think we just got into a conversation and chatted about life the universe and everything for about about an hour, mostly sharing travel stories. They also have snorkeling equipment for guests to use. ||||The rooms are small, but are clean and have everything you need. The place has a lot of character, you can tell that it is a family run guest house. They certainly picked an interesting color scheme to paint the walls, but somehow it works. There is a little balcony that overlooks the garden complete with a hammock to chill in with book. It is very different from any commercially run hotel. You wouldn't want stay in a Marriott or a Hilton on this island anyway, it's just not that kind of destination. ||||A very nice and simple breakfast buffet is served each morning, with lots of fresh fruit, which one should definitely take advantage of because as there are no cars on the island you will be walking everywhere, and you'll need something to give you energy. ||||All in all a very nice place to stay at a very reasonable price.
