Pousada Flor do Mar

Since this little hotel is situated in a great place, you end up paying more for it's location than for the room and service themselves. However, it is a nice charming place, well organized and neat. The breakfast is a little too simple, but the owners are always present and willing to help you plan your day during your breakfast. The rooms are nicely furnished, with AC and small fridge and tv. The shower had absolutely no water pressure, so if you go during winter, you may feel cold... Apart from that, I recommend the hotel because its well situated and has a nice environment.

Pousada Flor do Mar is a special place and the owner a very special lady who makes the extra effort to ensure that her guests are doing well. My phone was lost/stolen during my trip and she kindly made some calls for me. ... and offered an umbrella when she spotted me leaving without one on a stormy day. I was there during the off season with few tourists and it really felt like home. Very clean, breakfast always on time and nicely presented. Excellent location to walk to anyplace in the historic center. I was sad to say goodbye to my host!

I have been going to Paraty for over 10 years, and this is one of my very favorite places to stay. Excellent location steps to the heart of the historic district, facing the dock for all schooner tours of the area, and super quiet and tranquil at night. Rooms are comfortable, simply furnished and very clean. Includes breakfast and wifi too! Lovely mom and daughter hostesses make you feel a part of the family, and create a tranquil, warm and wonderful environment.

Nice place to stay when in Paraty, in the historic Center just next to the pier! All was well: The room itself was spacious, clean and well maintained. The common area was created with a good taste. Breakfast was very good. Truely recommend staying here!

I recently stayed at this pousada in mid-October. The pousada is located right near the boat dock for the day trips. The pousada location made it nice since it was on the edge of the old district, and it was quiet. It takes about 5 minutes to get anywhere in old district and 15 minutes to get to the bus station. I would recommend walking because taxis are a waste of money if you are staying near the old district, because they can't go inside the town...||||A boat trip cost us R$30 and the pousada management helped booked it for us. The manager was very friendly, but limited in speaking English. Luckily, we used Spanish to communicate.||||The rooms are very clean, and the place is quaint and relaxing. There are hammocks that are nice to stay in. ||||We paid R$190 for our room. FYI, prices in Paraty can vary highly depending on what time of year it is so take that in mind when you are traveling there. We booked the room on www.pousadaflordomar.com.br and reconfirmed via e-mail since we didn't a Brazilian bank account to make a deposit.

If you are a North America traveling in this very old village, you must expect rustic accommodation. Having said that, this place and its hostess are a delight. Regina knocks herself out to provide an unbelievable breakfast of fresh orange juice, fresh fruits, a beautiful array of breads, and cheeses. She prepared-new to me-fried soft cheese with cinnamon. You will not be disappointed!

Very clean and pretty.|Perfect location , inside the old town but beside the sea at the same time!|Senhora Regina is a great owner, ready to give advice if needed and privacy.||Breakfast is simply amazing. Senhora Regina makes great cakes and her special rabanadas are unforgettable!|Highly suggested!

Unresponsive and unreliable. We have tried to contact this pousada for the past six days by email, on the phone and via Facebook messenger. We were sent one email back, but were not able to secure the booking as they didn’t reply to our confirmation of dates. The people on the phone were extremely unhelpful. I wouldn’t stay somewhere that seems to have such little regard for its potential customers.
