Pousada Gira Sol

Would rate 3.5 if possible. Clean and well located in Bonito. Have removed stars for two reasons 1) there was construction work being undertaken while we were there which meant relaxing by the pool was impossible. We should have been informed about this at booking. 2) the staff were really not very friendly. We appreciate there was a language barrier as we can’t speak Portuguese but staff at reception didn’t even acknowledge us to say hello walking in and out.

this place is just awesome and the highlight is the breakfast, which includes a variety of food and natural juices. the pool area is nice and relaxing, you can see birds flying an singing. the location is 2 block from the main steeet

Fantastic Pousada, with excellent location. |Huge supermarket 10 meters from the Pousada. ||The staff very helpfull and some does speak English. |300-400 meter to center of Bonito where you can dine and buy almost everything. ||The rooms are spacious with balcony and nice bed. |Beautiful little garden and pool. |We didn't try the pool due to many mosquitos, but many birds in the garden. ||Excellent breakfast with almost everything you can imagine. ||For the money the a great choice in Bonito. :)

Great location, clean and beautiful place! Nice swimming pool and the staff was very friendly and helpful!|I am Brazilian so the breakfast for me was very nice, but my American boyfriend found strange the lack of "proteins" and variety of breads and cakes haha.|And from our balcony, we got to see lots of Toucans and Parrots (Araras) <3 |I highly recommend this Pousada :)

Very nice place to stay with good facilities (pool, lounge and breakfast). The location is great, very close to main street. Our room was modern and clean, but a bit sober. The service from the reception (and housekeeping) was very good, they try to help with any request. The language can be a barrier, but with Google translate you will be fine. Really good value, would stay again.

Great pool / lounging area with many seating options. Good size pool, with cafe to order some food from (the tapiocas were great!). Rooms are spacious though our door to our balcony area did not seal fully - there were gaps the whole way around the door frame where bugs could get through (albeit not many snuck in). Bathroom shower pressure is not very strong. Fabulous breakfast!

My husband and I started our honeymoon in Bonito and we chose the Pousada Girassol for its good reviews.|When we arrived the receptionist did not speak English and did not mention anything about our honeymoon. A simple "we are glad you decided to spend your honeymoon here" would have been at least something. Showing a bit of care/empathy about guests..but nothing. |Anyway, we were allocated in a room that was clean and spacious on the ground floor.|The bathroom needs a bit of renovation as it is clearly old.|The property itself is very beautiful and very well maintained. The garden is very nice and clean, the swimming pool was cleaned every morning. All around was wonderful. |Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed it a lot.|Recommended!

Location, service and room size. All perfect! Five star staff made my stay enjoyable and smooth. Everyday towels changed and bed made. There is a travel agency inside the inn, which makes planning your attractions real easy ( Bonitour).|The breakfast was more like an experience once everything is made from scratch daily and quality and taste meet the highest of standards…Shower can definitely be improved once the caucarium and magnesium typical of Bonito clog shower heads very fast and makes it a tad challenging to shower. Despite that, staff are willing and ready to help. Overall, a great experience! I will return.
