Pousada Jardim Secreto

We were originally meant to stay in Canela, but decided to stay here so that it would be easy to get back to our place on New Years Eve. We are so happy we stayed here and just wish we had stayed longer. The grounds are so pretty. If I'd had time I could have spent all day drinking their tea by the garden and reading. The room had adorable decor and a sliding window to let in fresh air and show a view of the garden. The bed is very soft (including the bedding), and had a loft with a small bed at the top. The shower was AMAZING. They are extremely friendly, accommodating, and it perfectly borders the hotel/home vibe. The breakfast has one of the best varieties I've seen at a hotel in Brazil, and everything I just...so clean and pretty. They even left favors such as a handwritten welcome note and chocolate as well as champagne for New Year's Eve. If you're debating where to stay in the Gramado/Canela area, choose here.

This Pousada is simply the best! The rooms are very nice and comfortable and the bathrooms new and clean. We loved our breakfast in the morning and the welcoming staff (Francesca is super nice!) |They also offer free bikes to explore Gramado. Super recommended, can't wait to be back!

I visited Gramado to attend the Festival de Cinema de Gramado. Pousada Jardim Secreto was a delightful place to call home for the visit. Conveniently located and walking distance to the town’s main attractions, the Pousada offers a wonderful and filling breakfast as well as afternoon tea with ample seating indoor and outdoor with a rustic country charm. I stayed in a Suite which was comfortable and also included a small table where one can enjoy a light dinner (perfect after a long ride from Porto Alegre). The only downside I would say is the front suite (#4) faces the street so you hear quite a bit of street traffic - cars and pedestrians. Also the walls in that room must be thin because I could easily hear the guests next door. But all and all a wonderful place to stay and I hope to return.

My family of three plus two friends spent 3 days/2 nights at Pousada Jardim Secreto. The rooms were spacious, clean and just smelled fresh when we opened the door. The garden in the backyard is full of different plant life and we were invited to pick oranges as we wanted. The entrance to the inside of the pousada itself was like opening the door to your own home with fireplace, couches, chairs and then dining area. We were always asked if there was anything the could do for us. One afternoon, I asked if we could have fresh coffee. A few minutes later, it was ready, and, with cookies. Another night, as it was getting cooler outside, I asked if a fire could be built. Within minutes, the fireplace was roaring. ||||Food for breakfast was phenomenal with breads, fruit, juices, tea, coffee, eggs and other things.||||Parking was excellent. Safety was no concern. ||||As we left and checked out, we were given hugs and made to feel like part of the family. ||||We will definitely be staying here again.

When you think of a cold romantic getaway in Brazil the only guarantee satisfaction place to go is Gramado. My husband and I were looking for a place to escape our busy daily routines and get back to each other without cellphones and kids and when we walked into the Jardim Secreto we were offered exactly that! An amazing escape into this magical 'secret garden' where all senses were flourished and enchanted! Warm cozy sheets for our skin, delicate handcrafted delights for breakfast (and tea), lavender bushes perfuming the air, exotic climatic flowers mesmerizing our vision and we were even blessed to hear one of the owners talented finger treating our ears to the piano! Amazing!!!

Beautiful place, very clean rooms and excellent service! The breakfast is delicious and has tons of options. Great experience! You absolutely recommend it!

We now know why this pousada is rated no 1 - the owners are simply outstanding, their hospitality goes well beyond all expectations. The rooms, breakfasts are all superb and we very much look forward to our next visit.
