Pousada Marcos

Great owners, and very very friendly. However rooms are really very very small, and its more like a super basic hostel. Breakfast is basic, tastes good, but not lavish. Since we went during the world cup, all prices were high. However, if you find the price suitable, then no harm going for it, if you are ok with hostel like accommodation. The location is the best thing about the place. Bang on the sea front, one can probably not get a better location than this, at an economical price. A/C and hot water worked very well. Probably the smallest room and bathroom i have ever used in my life. :-)

Right on the main beach in Barra, the location is amazing. The building and rooms, not so much. But for the price, its a great option. This feels more like a hostel. Even our private room was bunk beds. The AC and hot water work well, and there is a safe on the main level where you can store your valuables. The family that runs hit is super super nice and keeps the place safe. As long as you dont need a fancy room, this is your spot.

Spent a week at Pousada Marcos on my first trip to Salvador. Chose it because of the price and location. With the hot weather, I wanted to be by the seaside.||Everything was as expected for hostels in this price range. The rooms were basic, but spacious and clean and the air-con worked a treat.||All good, so would happily recommend for anyone on a budget.

This family run inn is the best. The owners made me feel like I was one of their family members. The unobstructed view of the ocean was majestic. The room was simple, but clean and comfortable and the AC was very cool. I would highly recommend Pousada Marcos to anyone!

The rooms are clean and comfortable, I would recommend the sea beach right beside a super place, the staff is good superrrr 👍

Nice hostel but a little bit too expensive for what you get. The breakfast wasn't good
