Pestana guarantees that any Pousada stay will be on a high standard. This small property is part of the palace area of Queluz which makes it interesting in general. ||In our case it was also affordabel (double 75€ incl. 2€+2€ city tax breakfast always included in all Pousadas), however the decor is from 2000 or so, nothing freaky here - at least not for younger folks (below 40). the usual rates around 150€ are by far too much in my eyes.||All 26 rooms are in upper level (Standard ones do face the cobbed road but no noise hearable), beds in winter with down feathers which is nice! However the place is missing a Sauna or indoor pool to make it at least a bit luxury. ||Update needed soon to increase the rates to 250€?

Truely historic small hotel (26 rooms) in historic building. Nothing really what you can call luxury 2025, it was maybe bacl 2000. Location next to the Palace of Queluz makes it a bit more interesting though it's remote from both Lisboa and Sintra (which municiplay this place belongs to, city tax is "only" 2€/Person max for 3 nights!).All rooms are upstairs, the standard rooms face the cobbed street (you can hardly hear with closed windows), big bathroom with tub, electricity bit strange, illumination bit old fashiioned.Due to the small capacity also the buffet breakfast ist limited in choice though high quality. Nespresso and filer coffee (better than those vending machines).Free parking outside is a plus, restaurants are in walking distance! In a nutshell: nice place but the "normal" rates around 150€ are BY FAR too much in my eyes - our 75€ incl.4€ city tax was just okay (missing extras like spa, pool etc.)

Positive:|+ extremely kind and helpful staff at the front desk|+ room was in good condition, nothing was too old. Most important to us: the beds were large enough and comfortable. It was also quiet as long as one remembers to close the "inner doors of the windows".|+ there is plenty of parking space available if needed.||Neutral:|* breakfast was ok. Maybe a bit too much "sweet stuff" for Scandinavian taste|* the hotel does not offer pool, gym, good restaurant or other such services. ||Negative:|- if one does not give extra value to the closeness of the Palace opposite the hotel, the location is not that good. It is pretty far away from Lisbon downtown and there is not much to see in the neighbourhood. Also, after a couple of days all the close-by restaurants have been tested and those are not that brilliant.

It is living in a vineyard. Very relaxing and nice. About 5km from city centre and yet one can have the peace and quietness of a vineyard stay, in a well built accommodation. We enjoyed the stay very much. Breakfast is decent.

My wife and I were extremely disappointed with this hotel. We booked it through Newmarket Holidays as part of their “Pousadas of Portugal” and this was the poorest of the three we stayed in.||The brochure quotes Newmarket Holiday’s Product Manager saying this is one of his/her favourite hotels in Europe. The quote goes on to say, and I quote, “As it’s situated close to the Royal Palace, you’ll feel like royalty with its landscaped gardens and impeccable service.” The hotel is in fact situated on a public car park with camper vans and large rubbish bins as the view from the hotel windows. There is no outside area for hotel guests and to enter the Royal Palace gardens there is a charge of 10 euros!||The hotel does not have a restaurant and any near by are few and far between. Also the bar in the hotel was manned by the reception staff and the service was poor particularly if they had guests registering or asking questions of them.||I would not recommend this hotel or the location, it was the most disappointing start to our holiday.

We were quite happy with our stay. Room was great, facility and building are very well maintained. Breakfast provides a huge variety. There is no on-site restaurant for other meals although there are nearby, walking-distant restaurants. There is an in-room coffee machine and water. The hotel is surrounded by a cobblestone parking lot which is a bit austere. Service staff are attentive. All spoke English. The Palacio is across the street and well worth the visit. It's not as crowded as nearby Sintra. If you arrive by train, it's about a 15 minute walk. There are 2 nearby train stations - Monte Abraao and Queluz Belas. Monte Abraao more pleasant than the Belas station. We reserved a suite, which was overkill for 2 persons, unless you have guests. The other rooms certainly cost less. I would stay here again.

It was a pleasure from the beginning to the end.We stayed 2 nights ,the superior room we booked had a problem with air conditioning making noise ,the guy from the reception came to check immediately and since it was late he checked and changed our room. Excellent service, big size room ,very pleasant and huge bed, very comfy. Nice breakfast. Great location with restaurants nearby, very quiet, 15 minutes by uber, and 10 euros and we are in the heart of Lisbon.

We have a really bad experience, I book since months because it's 1 year of relationship with my girlfriend. I book at phone and I explain that. And of course I ask for a big bed, when I arrive the lady told us they haven't a double bed. For a palace is not professional at all, maybe because we are a lgbt couple and young I don't know but after the long travel we didn't expect that.

Yelp
Our first palace hotel in Portugal. We love our flexibility able to stay at this luxurious hotel. I was surprised not many people stay here. It is comfortable and nice. The room is classic design to renaissance look. I like the breakfast included in the hotel. Parking is free at outside. The palace hotel just across Queluz National Palace. This is their extension side of the palace. If you stay there, please be sure eat at their king kitchen. The meal selection can add entree with all you can eat dessert on King table. We love this deal. The table is set around the chimney of the kitchen. You can walk below chimney and look up the chimney. I would recommend the duck if you come to the king kitchen for dinner. The hotel breakfast is great. It has a lot of choices. You can look out your window to check if the palace already open to guess in the morning. So you will be the few first entry to the palace. I think this is ideal location to stay a night and visit the palace next morning.
