I arrived here based on advice from other travelers. I received an excellent, organized welcome from the woman at recepcion. She was really honest, professional and upfront. The space is nice, clean and well-maintained. My first couple of days were pleasant.||Unfortunately, a day later, there arrived a group of 30 of the male owners' friends. Rather than rent the place to just them, there were 6 or so normal guests, and then this large group. ||The male owner was catering to their every need, very responsive to that group, ignoring his full price guests. The rest of us paying guests spoke together about how uncomfortable we were. This big group took over the kitchen, the pool, all the shared space and we didn't feel welcome in it. Suddenly, the quiet, calm hostel I had enjoyed now felt a lot more like a frat house.||The end to all this, was an extremely unprofessional interaction with this male owner. He blew up at me because I turned off the tv he had left on for 15 minutes with no one watching it. He was extremely rude, and when I responded he blew up at me, saying he liked having the noise. Saying to the other owner that I was only paying 40 reales per night, and shouldn't I have left already.||I was dumbfounded by this fundamentally disrespectful and unnecessarily rude treatment. I was never rude, despite being uncomfortable for much of my stay, and unlike his other guests, I was a paying customer.||I truly wish I could recommend this place, since Jennifer was so helpful and professional, but sadly, that treatment was completely unacceptable in my opinion.
