Beautiful property, cozy feel with a fireplace in the common area and lovely maritime themed decor. Unbeatable views from our balcony. Great buffet breakfast included. So glad we splurged and stayed here. Super friendly and helpful desk staff who were available 24 hrs.

Originally built in1960 on a windswept cliff edge overlooking the Atlantic coastline. It is in walking distance of the large local beach and the town of Sagras. The hotel is a low long two storied structure. Unlike some Pousadas, the building it is of little historic or architectural interest. Surrounded by its own grounds it is maintained in good condition. For the energetic there are numerous tennis courts.||All the services are of a standards that you would expect from this type of hotel. The hotel team were very friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is quite and relaxed with the clientele in mid-October were predominantly from older members of society plus a few cycling groups!!!. The restaurant served wholesome food but is not fine dining.||The bedroom was functional but not generously proportioned. It had a small balcony and wonderful views of sunrises and sunsets. There are numerous public rooms, a bar and an extensive terrace adjacent to the swimming pool for drinks and breakfast. There is loads of free car parking in the hotel grounds.||Recommended and if in the area would stay here again.

Very large and comfortable bed in large bedroom with amazing balcony views of the sunset above the fortress over the ocean. Slightly disappointed there was no bath tub in the bathroom - this would suit the style of the hotel very well. The staff were absolutely amazing, very friendly, welcoming and highly attentive. The food was excellent - apparently so good than many non-guests from the town's folk book tables in the restaurant. Altogether a very peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable stay without the noise of kids or dogs.

We stayed in Sagres years ago in ordinary accommodation and promised ourselves we’d come back one winter for a week in this Pousada given the fabulous location and views. It took us 20 years and we haven’t been disappointed despite our high expectations. From the minute we checked into our room with a balcony and great sea view towards the fort, it’s been fantastic. The room is super comfortable, well laid out with plenty of storage, very comfy bed and quality bedding, good furniture and nice décor. The only down side is perhaps too few sockets as it’s an older hotel, built before the technology boom. Fabulous stay, friendly staff, nice breakfast and plenty of car parking right outside. Highly recommended.

I absolutely loved this charming hotel! The location is beyond compare, with positively stunning views of the ocean. The pool is gorgeous. The breakfast is phenomenal, with fresh juices and so many options--and it is included in the rate. My room was plenty large, with a pretty view. Yes, the bathroom was dated and could use being refreshed, and the mattress was not the best--those were my biggest complaints. The staff was friendly and welcoming, always smiling. I enjoyed my stay here so much, and would happily return. It was an overall terrific experience.

Our second visit to the Pousada Sagres, located all by itself at a beautiful location overlooking the beach below and the ocean . We had a very nice luxe seaview room with a balcony.. |Welcome at the checkin was pleasant and we were nicely assisted with our heavy suitcases.|Breakfasts and dinners were good with plenty of choices. There was no waiting to be served despite the fact that there were large groups at the same time in the restaurant.

I have never had such a caring customer service & hospitality in a hotel (and I travel for work every month!) Outstanding. We were welcomed with a short description of the pousada history, treated with welcome drinks and when I had forgotten my tooth brush, the receptionist ran the hotel's dental kit to my room. Throughout our stay, we felt looked after, and noticed that employees in the hotel seemed to take pride of working there. Also, spacious rooms, lovely breakfast and beaut views.

The pousada de Sagres is in a stunning location, on top of a promontory with gorgeous views of the ocean, the Sagres fortress and the Cape São Vicente with it's lighthouse in the distance. The food is very good and service in the whole hotel is excellent. Attentive staff in all areas, particularly in the restaurant. The rooms are comfortable and functional though not very large. We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Yelp
We came during the off season and for a Sunday night stay. It was very quiet- most of the stores and shops were closed. We ended up eating at the hotel and was surprised by the quality of the food and service. You can tell that service is a focus of value for this hotel. They made you feel like family. We ate lunch before exploring the area- both driving and walking around to enjoy the sunset. Afterwards we returned for dinner. I wouldn't say the food is good but not beyond expectations. I would recommend for predictably good filling food. We ordered both the octopus and shrimps for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was included and we were surprised by how much was offered. It was perfect for a meal to start our drive back to Lisbon. I would stay here again. It's an older hotel but nice.

Yelp
What a quiet, peaceful, and fulfilling experience! The team is very helpful and attentive, the hotel is clean and situated nicely, and the food is surprisingly really good! First time having lunch, dinner and breakfast in the same hotel. It was worth it since most places closed on sundays. Recommended place to stay and eat!
