Pousada Vila Pitanga

We expected more from the rooms, the bedding was not good - seemed old. The ambiance is very pleasant.

Overall 5* The location is very good, you can take a taxi or walk 15min to city centre. The pool is very nice, the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing! The rooms were ok, silent AC, bathroom was ok. For the price, very much worth it

The room was clean and fresh. Beds were great. Breakfast was all you can eat and really tasty. Pool was also lovely, in the middle of some trees so it was pretty cool to hang out in the pool area.

If you're looking for a small hotel, in a great location, only 10 minutes from Rua de Pedras or centro, a short walk from Feradura beach then you can not go wrong with Vila Pitanga. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is simple but good. The price is good value for money. This was my second stay here and will be coming back. It is also very relaxing.|The only negative would be the buggy hire company they recommended. The beach buggy wasn't the best and I wouldn't use that hire company again.

A great place. Nice staff and people that is always ready to help with everything at every time. If you are looking for a place to stay with your family and friends... this is the right place! The rooms and facilities are really excellent. Based on the level of quality the rates are super perfect. A quite place plenty of peace, relax and tranquility.

We couldn't believe that this place had a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence. There were ants and other insects in the room (and a bottle of pesticide for your convenience). Breakfast was not replenished as items ran out. One day the eggs were dried out, one day there were none left, and one day they were cold. There were tiny ants and fruit flies by the food. Dirty dishes wouldn't be cleared until the end of breakfast. The staff spoke little English, and the nighttime staff spoke barely any English at all. Yes, the place looks charming, but in a town full of accommodations, I'm shocked this place is so well regarded.

The service at Vila Pitanga makes this place extra special, and Gustavo does a magnificent job at setting the tone for everyone that works there. There is always a warm welcome, someone to answer a question or give a beach recommendation. We could not have been happier with our stay--it's a pousada in Buzios, but you are treated like a guest at the Waldorf.||||Based on other reviews, our room was completely updated with an extremely comfortable queen-size bed and thoroughly cleaned each day. ||||The location is a 20-minute walk from town, but you're missing out in Buzios if you don't rent a buggie and do some beach exploring. Gustavo can set it up for you so that they bring it right to the pousada. Check out Geriba, the sunset at Porto da Barra and then a night ride around the hills near Joao Fernandes beach.

We stayed at Vila Pitanga for a few days during a seven week trip to Argentina and Brazil. We loved the Pousada and the manager (Gustavo) is a real gem. The facilities are excellent and for the level of comfort and quality, the room rates are fantastic value. We cannot recommend this Pousada enough, particularly if you are looking for peace, tranquility and superb customer service.
