5 Must-Visit Northeast Cideries for Your Next Fall-Foliage Road Trip

"At this Lebanon, New Hampshire farm I found they still think of themselves as apple growers first—Stephen Wood says they focus on apples even as visitors flock for fall foliage—but people have a blast here with a pet- and kid-friendly farm stand (opened Sept. 7), room for kids to run into the woods and scrape their knees, and picnic-friendly grounds." - Beth Demmon

Awesome apple orchard. Apples were literally hanging 1 foot off the ground, even a 2 year old kid was able to pick apples to his heart's content. Kids also enjoyed playing with owner's dog named Fig. Wish we could've stayed longer! The Macoun apples were our favorite... 🍎

Gorgeous place, easy to get to but out of the way of tourists and traffic, never crowded, always serving the tastiest dry cider in New England. I love their heirloom apple varieties and come back year after year.

Still remains one of the best orchards I’ve ever visited. It’s been many many years but been yearning to go back.

Love this place. Very cute. You can get apples, jams and jellies, maple candy, apple cider and hard cider. You can also pick your own apples if you prefer. The staff there is extremely friendly. I would love to go back next time we are in the area.

Fantastic pick-your-own orchard which is great for kids, and a wonderful hard-cider tasting room, great for adults! It's a wonderful little family farm, and Harrison is super friendly! Stop by if you're in the area!

My wife and I took our two kids (2 and 5) to this orchard earlier this month, and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. Row after row of every variety of apple you could imagine. Our kids loved running up and down the rows with the numbered list of apples, trying to find certain varieties. It was also fun using our apple picker to get way up in the trees. They're also really relaxed here about tasting as you go - they even encourage it! There were old farm houses and a tractor ride. It really felt like a quintessential New England orchard. I hope we can get back here again down the road.

Local, beautiful, and delicious apples. We love taking the kids and riding the flatbed trailer pulled by the tractor to get to the orchard of the day, or to get back. Always a great experience! Calville apples are a personal favorite. Don't forget the hard ciders, delicious!
