Powerhouse Cafe & Restaurant

Just had breakfast with my partner and we both got the eggs benes and they were phenomenal 👌🏻 I can't even put it down to one part of the meal as everything was packed with flavour and cooked perfectly. Even my oat milk decaf latte was delicious and I must ask where the beans are from?! Service and atmosphere was great, staff all seemed so happy to be there and I could see why the customer turnover was so insane. 1000/10 will be back every time we are in Hanmer.

Food was delicious. We didn’t expect anything because we were just looking for a quick brunch place before heading to the hot spring. Service was excellent too. They had a range of Asian cuisine and western style food.

Hidden gem of Hanmer Springs. Absolutely delicious scones and muffins: best I have had in a while, coffee was very good too. Nice staff, quick service, cozy outdoor seating space. Edit: came back for lunch and it was worth it, amazing food, presentation, service..

We didn’t try the food, but the coffee was excellent. The café is set in a historic building. Addit: We finally got to try the food here, and it was absolutely amazing! The pancake was both healthy and delicious, with a great texture that made every bite enjoyable. The menu offers a wonderful selection that pairs perfectly together. Overall, it was one of the most satisfying breakfasts we’ve ever had. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Hanmer Springs—you definitely won’t regret it!

Do yourself a favour and stop in to the Powerhouse any chance you get! And make sure you say hi to Mary, she's wonderful ♡ I do recommend making a booking to be sure you get a table inside when it's cold. This place is a true gem of Hanmer and beyond, and well worth a stop!

Delicious food. Good coffee. Dined here twice. The oats, cinammon scrolls and muffins were sensational!

Busy Sunday so service was quite slow, but otherwise impressed by the menu and awesome selection of gluten free cabinet food including a tasty looking savoury muffin which I’d like to try next time! Partner said his coffee wasn’t very good but the breakfast nachos were surprisingly quite yummy though they didn’t look like much!
