What should have been an atmospheric ghost tour turned into one of the strangest customer experiences I’ve had in a long time.
When we arrived, the employee behind the ticket window didn’t greet us. She briefly glanced at us and then continued playing an online game on her computer. We stood there waiting for the window to open, but nothing happened. Eventually I had to knock on the glass just to ask if we could buy tickets. She answered yes without taking her eyes off the screen. We paid by card, and she quickly handed us the tickets before immediately closing the window again, still without really looking at us.
We received no instructions, no introduction, and no guidance on how the tour worked. The audio QR code we were supposed to use didn’t work either, which made the whole experience even more confusing.
As for the attraction itself, the first floor didn’t really deliver much of a “ghost tour” atmosphere. The only part that stood out was the creepy basement, which actually had the kind of mood we expected.
