15 Unique Things to Do in Prague (Updated 2025)

"Perched above the Vltava in Letná Park, the 75-foot functioning metronome (installed in 1991 on the former site of the giant Stalin statue) is meant to symbolize the relentless passing of time — a message I appreciated as I watched skaters below and, in warm months, DJs and an outdoor bar animate the plaza around it." - Matthew Kepnes

The metronome itself isn't particularly impressive or grand, but the park itself exudes a sense of freedom and youthfulness, making it a place to enjoy a leisurely stroll. If you enjoy visiting with a drink or a light snack and taking in the distant scenery, it's highly recommended. However, be sure to watch out for animal droppings in the grassy areas and along the paths.

Amazing view of Prague…if you’re willing to put in a bit of effort. Counted 259 steps to reach the very top. Lots of skateboarders at the top, but everyone is enjoying themselves and having a good time. Several people had brought up snacks and drinks to go with the beautiful view. There’s also a wagon that sells drinks and alcohol located close to the top. Really enjoyed it here.

The Metronome in Prague is an awesome hangout spot with a unique vibe. From Wednesday to Sunday, there’s usually a DJ playing electronic music, which gives the place an energetic and lively atmosphere. Up top, you’ll often see people skating, adding to the urban flair. The area is relatively clean, and there are even toilets available, which is a big plus for an outdoor spot. It’s also a great place to meet new people — locals and travelers alike gather here to enjoy the music, the view, and the community feel. Whether you’re just passing by or planning to spend your evening there, the Metronome is definitely worth a visit.

Once you conquer the steps you are rewarded with brilliant views over Prague. Austere and covered in graffiti it shows youth defiance against the communist era. Lovely park to walk through as well

Great viewpoint over Prague. There used to be a gigantic statue of Stalin here. There are several viewpoints nearby. Great for group photos and selfies

The park is a nice place to take pictures of city center and river as well actual tree photos. Metronome itself and graffiti around it did not look appealing to take photo of, so I’m not attaching them here.

Many stairs to get to the hills top with the metronome. The metronome was anyway not working. The basement of the metronome with many graffiti and from here no great view due to many trees (better from other spots in the park) A small cafe nearby.

Amazing view on Praha. Formerly a place were the biggest Stalin was standing, today a place of street art and skating
