"Nestled on Porto’s nearby beach, Praia da Luz offers drinks and a laid-back atmosphere on a dockside terrace. It’s ideal after a walk from the city center." - Coolstuff Team
Beautiful seaside town/large village. Lovely beach, easy walking, quality of restaurants generally high, good ice cream shops (!), two well stocked supermarkets.
Sunny but can get pretty breezy!

Praia da Luz is stunning – the water is turquoise and clear, with absolutely breathtaking views. Loved that there aren’t sellers bothering you, except for the bolinas donut vendor (and those are delicious!). It does get quite crowded at the end of August, but still a fantastic beach to visit.

My first time in Praia da Luz and my first impressions were I really liked it. It's high season and the beach is very busy, as to be expected. However, because the town runs along both the beach and rocky coastline. You also have plenty of other areas which are less busy to take a swim. Lovely deep areas around the rock where you can jump in. If not then you can go for a walk up to the viewing ppointon the east end of the beach which looks amazing. Some lovely bars and cafés with a lot of expats and tourists.

Decided to pop to Praia Da Luz for a couple of reasons. For its significant and to check out the beach. A quaint and trendy village/town on the beach I can see its appeal. I went in low season so can imagine how vibrant it would be in the summer. Really lovely beach great amenities and restaurants and a little market area. Great for a walk as well.
