Beautiful beach and views.. The water is cold in Mid June.. But, feels amazing after a long day of hiking!... There are hoses and showers to rinse off after being covered in black sand!

The beach is set against beautiful, steep green mountains that reach all the way to the water, creating stunning views. However, the strong waves can make swimming dangerous, and the surrounding concrete walls and pier give the area an industrial feel that doesn’t blend well with the natural beauty.

One of the most beautiful beaches I've ever visited, with fine black sand and lovely clear water. There is a waterfall flowing down onto the beach too. The scenery is so beautiful and the water is calm, sheltered by a harbour wall. The only negative is that it does get quite busy.

Just because there isn't many beaches on the island, this one was good. You could walk down and didn't have to use the cable car. The place is very popular with plenty of car park space but you might struggle to find a spot on a good day.

The beach was unique. Trying to find parking was very difficult and the beach was extremely packed but I expected it since it’s a small beach. The water was very cold. I would still recommend a visit just go a bit earlier

Beautiful beach. Of course extremely crowded. The difficult thing is to find a parking spot. We reached around 12 so already all spots were taken. The parking near the beach itself is quite limited.

Mesmerizing colors of Madeira, the only natural beach in Madeira, black sand beach.... really lovely place for everyone!

Wonderful black sand beach that’s powder soft. Views of 3 waterfalls in the distance. Parking is minimal so take an Uber or walk down. Great views on the opposite side of the road of a natural pool area
