Great location! Great staff! Also the rooms are clean and the housekeeping is also great. They provide free wifi which works well. There is a water station to fill your cup. About the things need to be improved, first of all, the bed was very uncomfortable. The muffins they serve in the morning are dry and disappointing. Lastly, I didn't like the shampoo and the conditioner.

We had a decent stay at Praktik Garden, rooms were clean and nice, we had a nice balcony and the staff was great. Location is perfect! Cons were that the elevator was out of service most of the time, and sink is outside the bathroom, it’s in the room right across the bed. Also it would be great if we had a little bit more space for storage. In the morning, you can get coffee and muffins in the lounge which is really nice, although it’s only until 10 a.m., would be great if it would be extended until at least noon. Overall, a nice hotel!

We just spent 6 nights at the Hotel Praktik Garden and were happy with it. The room are small, but was adequate for the amount of time we spent in it. We had one with a large balcony, which was great. The elevator was not working a few times, but we didn't mind the stairs. Complimentary coffee and small pastries for breakfast worked for us. Really liked the outdoor seating area with all the plants, you didn't feel like you were in city center.

Google
We enjoyed our stay largely because of the hotel’s close proximity to the city centre. The reception staff were friendly, and the room was a good size. However, the window shutters did not fully close, and the walls were not soundproof, as we could hear noise from the hallway and neighbouring rooms. Despite these issues, given the short-notice booking and the price we paid, we were overall satisfied with our stay.

When you’re looking for a pretty little boutique hotel, it’s perfect for you. The staff was really friendly and always so helpful. The garden was my personal highlight because I loved it to sit there in the morning with my 1st cup of coffee and watch the tiny little birds. I will definitely return soon! ✨

I had a wonderful stay at Praktik Garden Hotel in Barcelona. The room was clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. It was a bit compact, but never felt too small or uncomfortable. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is stylish yet cozy. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. When I first arrived, my Apple Pay was not going through because of a delay in funds transfer, and the front desk staff were gracious enough to let me check in and settle into my room first, with the option to return and pay later. That gesture really set the tone for how welcoming and understanding the team is. The lounge and workroom areas are beautiful and comfortable, perfect for relaxing or getting a bit of work done. The Wi-Fi worked reliably throughout my stay, and the hotel also offers laundry services, which was very convenient. The outdoor deck is especially lovely, filled with greenery and softly lit at night, making it a great spot to unwind after a long day exploring the city. Overall, Praktik Garden is a charming and comfortable stay in a great location. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Barcelona.

Google
A great find offering the perfect combination of style, friendliness, good price and location. The highlights were the beautiful breakfast area and garden where you can enjoy free espresso or tea in lovely greenhouse vibe, the rooms ( superior double) with large balconies and views and small details like the generous ´ aesop-style ´ mint shower gel, shampoo and conditioners and rain shower. We loved our 4 nights on the 5th floor.

I stayed at Praktik Hotel in Barcelona, and overall it was a nice experience. The staff were very kind, friendly, and welcoming, which made the stay pleasant. However, the room was very, very small, with almost no space to move around, and there was no suitable space to pray, which was a bit uncomfortable for me.. Very Small ,, cleanliness was okay , not bad . Also, the sink was inside the room, not in a separate bathroom, which might not suit everyone. Despite these points, the hotel was clean and well located, and overall it was not a bad experience. Good for a short stay if you don’t mind small rooms.

Yelp
I stayed at the Praktik for a long weekend and everything was wonderful. It's a no-frills kind of place, but there is working A/C and the rooms are CLEAN, which is super important to me. I had a single room, which is facing the "courtyard" (so not an interesting view) but it was so nice and quiet. The sink is in the main room area, but there's a separate toilet and shower. Rooms are minimal but with everything I needed, and they even had a complementary glass water bottle for me. The location is super central and walkable, and the patio/garden in the back is a lovely place to enjoy a coffee or spend time writing postcards/journaling/reading a book/chatting. Everyone working was super friendly and kind, and they even have locker storage for luggage in case you arrive before check in. When I return to Barcelona, I'm certain I'll stay here or at another Praktik location.

Yelp
Our third time at PRAKTIK GARDEN over the past five years. Love everything about this Boutique Hotel! Location, superb staff, comfortable and beautiful rooms with nice bathrooms and quality linens, the lounge, QUIET, clean, and an amazing value. Plus nice coffee & tea served in the morning and a beautiful outdoor patio space in the rear. Seriously perfection!

Yelp
[This is an overdue review from May 2018. As the privilege to travel to foreign countries again presents itself, I have been looking back at past travels.] Prior to arriving, I had asked the hotel staff if it was possible to upgrade from an Economy room to an Exterior room. Though I speak marginally conversational Spanish, I was concerned about the staff understanding English or my poor Spanish. My fears were unfounded and the staff was very accommodating. If you are able to stay in an upgraded room, I recommend it because the rooms are small by American standards. We arrived in the evening of May 3, 2018 and fell in love with the unique decor, the neat and clean room, and the neighborhood the hotel is in. It's really a gem. The morning coffee offering is time-limited, but it was of good quality and it was very nice to have coffee in the garden. We stayed two nights before heading to Madrid, but were planning to return to Barcelona to fly out. I had booked a different hotel for our second stint in Barcelona, but we enjoyed our stay at Praktik Garden so much, and found the neighborhood to be so conveniently located that we cancelled the other hotel and booked again at Praktik. Needless to say, I would recommend Praktik Garden to anyone travelling to Barcelona and looking to stay at a relatively affordable hotel.

Yelp
This hotel has definitely been updated since some of these reviews were written... This place was spotlessly clean, and if you check out its website what you see there is exactly what you get (funky art on the walls, the jungle out back, etc). Has an awesome location off Passeig de Gracia more or less right between Casa Batllo and Sagrada Familia; 10 minute walk to Las Ramblas/Gothic neighborhood, around the corner to the Gerona metro stop. Not a super lively neighborhood but we didn't feel like we were missing out on the action at all. Note the rooms aren't generously sized (our plush bed took up most of the space) but what are you doing staying in the room anyway?!? We reserved a room with a patio overlooking the back courtyard, which I highly recommend. No street/neighbor noise and a neat hidden view of Eixample living. Other pluses: + 24-hour check-in, with someone always available at the front desk (which was awesome since we didnt get into town until nearly 2 AM). + solid wifi + morning coffee is a GREAT convenience, and the patio space out back is really quiet and a comfy place to kick up your feet and enjoy it + locker storage (cubby was large enough to fit our two oversized backpacks) for one euro -- which gets returned once you're done with the key, AND there's a WC back there I also liked that it was eco friendly -- the lights/power/AC only works when you're in the room with the key in the slot. Would absolutely stay here again on our return to Barcelona!

Yelp
I stayed with my wife at Praktik Garden and it was a great, economical choice for our stay in Barcelona. The hotel is in a good location on a quiet street in the Eixample neighborhood and right around the corner is the Metro (Girona) station and a quick ride to any of the major sites in the city. When I travel to a new city I am there to explore it and I don't spend much time in my hotel room so I don't look for many amenities besides a good location, comfortable bed, clean room and good water pressure which Praktik Garden delivered on. There is also a cute patio that we looked at that on one of the floors that would be a great place to have a drink and just lounge. Note: Their check-in time is 2:00pm (14:00) but they have gigantic lockers where you can store your luggage if you arrive earlier. Also, their entrance is a little hard to spot and our taxi circled around the block twice to find it so make sure to look at the picture of it - there is a bright red awning.

Yelp
My wife and I took a chance on this place, despite only having a few reviews. We were so happy with our stay! The location is perfectly situated near three different Metro stops and fifteen minutes walking distance from Sagrada Familia. Our room was a standard one and was absolutely fine. The beds and linens were comfortable. The shower was large and robust. The perks of the hotel are many, but the stand out was a FREE portable wifi hotspot. Yep, that's right...free! You sign for it and they give you a hotspot for the length of you stay, to use while you explore the city. This is separate from the free hotel internet, which was actually better speed than we were expecting. There is also a lovely terrace and study, where you can enjoy free Nespresso coffee in relaxed style. Definitely give this place a try.

Yelp
I can say with confidence that any low reviews on here are pre-remodel and are no longer valid. Allow me to wipe the slate clean - Praktik Garden is a truly rare breed of hotel that is both chic and affordable, a unicorn if you will! Book your stay without an ounce of hesitation. Praktik Garden oozes with charm, an entry way filled with colorful books and plants, free coffee, and a relaxing patio to recover from your exploits of the city. My room was spotless, roomy and comfortable. I had some concern about the proximity to the street below but found the room very well insulated. No road noise or anything from our neighbors for that matter. The wi-fi was quick and dependable, we had no problem streaming from our devices. The TV is large, but since I unfortunately only speak English there wasn't much for me. Staff on the other hand is well verse in English and was able to answer all my questions and then some. Location wise it's very walkable and close to transit. I loved my stay and would book immediately should I return to Barcelona.

Yelp
For a cheap hotel you get what you pay for. Located a 10 minute walk away from everything you need in Barcelona, I found the cheaper price well worth the walk. Plus with all the eating, it was nice to have a forced walk to and from every meal. The minimal interactions we had with the staff was fine, no issues with house keeping, WIFI, or the facilities. All that being said, I probably would stay somewhere nicer next time, mainly due to the fact that this was our first stop on our trip. After flying around the world, a little pampering would have been refreshing.

Yelp
My advice to someone staying in Barcelona is that if there is a city where you can give yourself permission to spend extra money on lodging, it is here. In many past trips we have stayed in 2 star or budget hotels and usually we are lucky enough to find clean and nice places. That being said, for the Praktik, I was not impressed. Keep in mind there are two Praktiks; the most popular one is more centrally located off Las Ramblas. The Las Ramblas Praktik has good reviews on trip advisor. The Pratik we stayed at is in a very sleepy part of the L'Eixample. While there was a little bit of a walk to get to some decent eateries; I still felt like it was a good central location for sightseeing. Initially I was put off that they were going to charge us for holding our bags when our room was not ready yet. Ultimately the receptionist felt like being nice and held them for free but I don't think this is the norm here. I find this odd because even some hostels will hold your bags for free, albeit not necessarily securely. We paid for an upgraded room with a "balcony" view of the street. What we got wasn't really a balcony, it was a window. To top it off there is a lively bar across the street that will prevent you from leaving it open most of the time. The room we were assigned was simply decorated and clean. I think my biggest issue with our room was the bed. It was a big bed in a little room. There was barely enough room to stretch your legs, lay out your bags, etc. I would have been more comfortable if they chose a bed that was a more appropriate for the size of the room. The hotel is in an old building that was updated with retro looking sinks in the same small room that the bed is in. The sink next to the bed could appear to be nice and quaint, but to us it was just awkward. I wished that sink existed instead in the bathroom with the shower. It was too close to our bed. My final complaint is that the cleaning staff has pretty strict hours since it is a budget hotel. We knew this and specifically left the room so they could clean during the allowed hours; we even left when we were not feeling well and wanted to rest instead. Unfortunately the cleaning staff mistook our "please make up our room" sign for the "do not disturb" sign and we missed two days of cleaning in a row :( I would have rather paid more to stay in El Born and be a part of the action. This was not my best budget selection. I think if you are less particular about your room, there are probably better cheaper options out there for you.

Yelp
This is seriously one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. I've stayed at better hostels than this place, especially with that price. Not only did the promised "free coffee machine" break, but the staff was incredibly rude. Online they promised air conditioning, well come to find out that they only turn the air on when they want. So we had to open the window, as the front desk was insanely rude and unwilling to help. They explained that even though it says "air condition" they only turn it on through certain months. The woman working the front desk was so rude and unwilling to help. Not only this, but the walls are so thin that unless you can sleep through a train hitting a building, you won't sleep. And if you want some air to help sleep and have to open the window, you 100% won't sleep. The only thing going for this place is the location, but you can find better somewhere else.DON'T STAY HERE!

Yelp
This is a nice boutique ish dorm style ish hotel with a very nice terrace on the first floor and friendly staff. Free coffee and tea in the mornings before noon which is a nice touch. The terrace is lovely to sun bathe in when you want to relax from a some sightseeing. There's plants everywhere and lounge chairs and smells like jasmine flowers. Onto the pros and cons Pros - Reasonably priced Awesome location. Walking distance to almost everything Close to a metro so if you can't walk somewhere this is easily accessible Beds are comfortable Shower pressure was good Nice balconies Cons- The sink is outside the bathroom ??? The rooms are tiny but you don't spend that much time inside so it's ok The sink and shower drain wouldn't drain well The bathroom door is a almost see through glass door with no lock There is no full size mirror in the room which is a big con if you're a girl wanting to look at your outfit

Yelp
Not bad at all for 90 EUR (including VAT) per night. Location- Pretty good and safe. We were a little cautious to stay in or near Las Ramblas so we picked a quiet spot off Eixample. Location was decent. This is a short walk to Sagrada Familia and Passeig De Gracia which has more of the shopping, Casa Batllo etc. For food it was walkable to Tapas 24 and Ciudad Condal. Rooms- Definitely on the smaller side but liveable for 4 nights. I worked the tapas off by climbing up the stairs. The bathroom was on the smaller side and layout was kind of odd but again easy to accept when you are in one of the most amazing cities :) If I visit BCN again, I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
yuck. what a filthy hotel. should be listed as a hostel and there are nicer of those in the area I'm sure. the staff was very young and nice enough but the place is a dump. I found them on booking.com and I can't understand any of the positive reviews. our room was dirty, we complained but there were no other rooms available. the carpet in the halls was disgusting. the pics of the lobby and common areas on their web site are deceptive, in my opinion. the really annoying part was that would could not get and keep wifi access. super annoying. the rooms have no closets or phone to contact the front desk ,.the towels are thin, as is the mattress we switched hotels after two nights. unless you are in college and traveling on a budget do not stay here. oh, and the lighting in the room is terrible, bring a flashlight.

Lotta H.

Yelp
The hotel must have been renovated after 2012, because it is not the same than in the photos here from that year. We found this hotel to be nicely located and in all ways good place to stay. Katajanokan maailmanpyörää on tarkoitus pitää auki ympäri vuoden. With a lovely terrace ( fake-grass but lots of nice plants), nice room, good location (not too far and not too close) and very friendly staff this hotel has a good quality-price ratio and I could definitely come back here sometime. Good to know - the hotel is named now: Praktik Garden.

Yelp
Praktik Hotel is located in the center. It is about 5 minutes from Placa de Catalania. The hotel is small and unfortunately, hotel has small rooms. The hotel offers a few services. What I have to highlight is the restaurant of the hotel. The restaurant was one of the best in Barcelona which we visited in Barcelona hotels. This hotel is convenient for demanding travelers. Unfortunately, not for families with children. I did not like small rooms. The rooms were too small and I suffer from a disease which is called claustrophobia. Prices in the hotel were small practitioner. The staff was very nice and helped us.
