If you are a foreigner and don't understand Spanish perfectly, this is not the place for you. Foreigners have to pay 20, but you are not allowed to take photographs, and not allowed to use Google Translate!!!! I explained multiple times that I hadn't taken any photos (and actually showed my phone) and was just using a translation software, but I was told to put my phone away. I'm not sure if this person is related, but I'm sure he will be watching you at all times. Location of fraud.

Great museum. The building itself is beautifull too. Good information from the guides. Be aware: everything in spanish.

The museum is one of the municipal museums of Jaen Street that you access with a single ticket. You can either visit it directly or enter through the “museo costumbrista” at the corner of the street. Them museum contains instruments and silver and gold decoratios as well as mummies. It is possibly the best museum to see Tiwanakotan and Inka artifacts and a must see in La Paz.

There are lots of nice things to see but often without any explanation. For example, there are some mummies with no description or context at all, just after a text about how metal is processed… I was happy that at least in the ceramics room they showed the dates and use of the exposed objects.

Came here to see the Fuente Magna. Pictures were unfortunately prohibited. No explanation was given about the object. Talk about an anticlimax... The tiny museum only has a few golden objects. The entry fee of 20 bolivianos allow you to visit 3 other neat museums closeby.

Small museum with an interesting collection. Inka gold is always fascinating. Unfortunately, does not allow photography.

Go to the ethnographic museum instead... Got ticket with entrance to several of the museums in Calle Jean (same owners), and I thought the museums had a really elitist and colonialist vibe to it.
