Preah Vihear Boutique Hotel

We had a lovely time staying at this hotel. The reception and pool areas are idyllic. The hotel restaurant is located on the second floor, and for dinner, we were seated on a balcony overlooking the pool, which made one feel as though one was in a tropical paradise. The service was excellent. The rooms are large and comfortable with air conditioning. The bathroom is a little bit dated, but given the location, it is still pretty good!

This was advertised as a two-star hotel and that's pretty much what it was. It was clean but that's about all I can say about the bedrooms. The gardens however are incredible. Our lunch was solid, but breakfast was wanting. They only offered us a western breakfast... what the cambodians ended up with at the next table looked much better.

Quiet hotel that was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The gardens and pool were lovely. The staff were very kind.|We had a very nice dinner of Khmer cuisine.|If you are in the area to visit Prasat Preah Vihear (which is wonderful) this hotel is conveniently located close by.

Reviews from 2020 describe the need for some major refurbishment for this hotel. Nothing has changed. TV and fridge in the room didn't work, it was hard to close the bathroom door, soap scum in the shower had not been cleaned for some time and the rest of the room wasn't particularly clean either. Breakfast was poor. I guess there is little or no competition so they don't see the need to improve.

Our booking was long standing, but it was only on our arrival that we were told that the entire hotel had been thrown over to a large party and that they would not be able to cater for us! Further, we would not be allowed to use the hotel facilities after 4pm! Had it not been for our guide and driver taking us out to eat, I'm uncertain how we would have coped? |We were put in a room far enough away from the party so as to be quiet, but the room was barely adequate!|We did get breakfast in the morning, which did little to redeem the awful service provided.

This hotel was probably very good 20years ago. |Maintenance is neglible:|pool water green|Bathroom door doesn’t catch|Rain shower head sprays horizontally|Broken fittings etc etc||Staff friendly but not over efficient|Food basic||Not much else in Preah Vihear unfortunately.

Had great expectations and was largely disappointed . On arrival the concierge was on the phone for ages and could not be bothered to greet us or sign us in . The room was clean but musty . The shower didn’t work properly , nor did the aircon which dripped on the floor and we had to switch it off. The room decor was poor . No pictures . A tiny tv which needed binoculars to see with! ||Food was very good though service was a bit rushed . The swimming pool was delightful but the whole place lacks atmosphere. The lights in the corridor after dark only come on when you reach the end of the corridor not when you leave the room .||Sorry to say the place needs to do better .

Its an excellent place to stay, in that area, by far the best. Neat rooms, good interiors, overlooking the swimming pool. However the food service was mediocre, with delays and hardly any options.
