Would highly recommend for tourists and especially Western tourists. Location is fantastic, safe and near main tourist sights as well as good bars and restaurants. Rooms were clean with very good air condition and cable tv including hbo, star movies, axn, etc.. and best of all the staff were extremely nice and honest... which we found to be hard to find in Delhi. We had a great stay and this was well worth the money. Do keep in mind this is a guesthouse, so if you're expecting a bathtub and amazing bathroom you'd probably be disappointment. But for the price range and type, this hotel was great! Would stay here again and would highly recommend.

This is a simple but clean and well-equipped guest house and a good value for the area. It is on the outer ring of Connaught Place and just a few minutes walk to the Metro Station, the rest of Connaught, and the Janpath area. It's a little bit difficult to find, since it's on the 2nd floor and the sign is up high, hard to see from the street. The rooms were very clean and had a/c, hot water, and wifi. Breakfast was pleasant on the covered rooftop; you can order Indian or western breakfast items at the front desk and they are brought up to you. The common areas between the front desk and the rooms are pretty basic but not untidy. There is a security guard at the entrance. The guest house provided an airport transfer when we arrived, and helped us with taxis when we left for the train station.

I had a seamless experience at the Prem Sagar Guest House.||||Positive: The hotel was thorough with E-Mail communication, making sure that they knew my check-in time and explaining that I had the option of a pickup from the airport.||||Negative: That option was 990 rupees, whereas a taxi from the official government taxi stand costs only 470 rupees at night. (However, the taxi did involve a detour to a tourist information stand when my driver got "lost" and I was pressured to buy further hotels and train tickets). Come prepared with a Google Maps printout and the hotel name and phone number so they have no excuse (I did and it didn't prevent all of the BS, but it did prevent MORE of the BS).||||Location Negative: The location is a little difficult to find in person, since it is on a gigantic traffic circle ... well, circles. ||||Location Positive: It is easy to find the general vicinity of the area on a map (the circle is very distinct). It is relatively near the Rajiv Chowk Metro Station for the Yellow and Blue lines, and is in theory a 5 minute walk if you can do it without getting lost.||||Staff Positive: The hotel staff monitor the outside of the hotel with security cameras, so a staff member was sent downstairs promptly to fetch me and my companion as we wandered outside looking visibly lost. The hotel staff were polite and checked us in promptly.||||Room Positives: My room was very clean. There was soap in the bathroom - 2 bars, actually - as well as 2 shampoo packets, which is a HUGE plus (many hotels in India didn't appear to include soap in the bathroom, and who wants to stay in a place covered in traces of feces?). The water in the shower was hot. There were 2 pillows on the bed. The room featured blackout curtains. I slept with earplugs just in case but didn't hear a peep. Internet was free and adequate for my tablet (I didn't try watching any videos, so no comments on speed).||||Room Negatives: The bed is rather hard (my companion loved this, actually). The showerhead in my companion's room was literally mounted right over the toilet.||||No opinion: Breakfast was offered, but I slept in too late to eat it.

Conveniently located close to Connaught place and Rajiv Chowk metro station. It made lot of things easier for me. Very decent price and delicious breakfast. It doesn't have looks of new hotels but gives a good value for your money. WiFi connection speeds are good. My wife was able to remotely do office work for 6 hours without any problems. Staff is really cordial and ready to helpout in moving luggage and taking care of any requests. Right next to the guest house there's a McDonald's and Saravana Bhavan In case you like them

Very convenient guesthouse in the centre of New Delhi. It's not a luxury resort and rooms are a little old-fashioned and run down, but it's clean, the shower is hot, the staff is friendly and helpful and the location is perfect (less than 5 min away from the Metro, lots of restaurants, shops, ... close by). Only Minus: As it's right in the centre of New Delhi, it can be a bit noisy - work on the street woke me up at 6:00...||Breakfast is nice and is served on the roof terrace (if the weather is nice - if not you can have it brought to your room) - where you can watch all kinds of birds sitting in an old, splendid tree that grows in the backyard of the house :-))

Prem Sagar Guest House is located in sprawlling Connaught Place area.||At a reasonable tarrif , it gives you a luxurios stay in a very spacious ,well furnished room with top service at your beck and call.Although the breakfast is free with room, the guest has a choice to select dishes our of listed menu. Bathroom is well equipped with hot and cold water, soups ,shampoos . King size cozy bed, mirror, wardrobe and tables laid surrounding the walls, luaggage rack , all polished . One mineral water bottle is complimentary.||main advantage is the CentralBusiness area and just two minutes from the Transport hub Rajeev Chowk. Plenty of Autos or Cabs just outside the hotel

Brilliantly located in Connaught place. Service is prompt too. Room was decently spacious. Clean bathroom too. But the electrical fittings were practically falling apart. And the room I got had no windows which makes it smell a lot. The front desk was courteous and professional.

I booked this guest house because of its location and I was so pleased that I did. Now, it is worth explaining something to those visitors who are unfamiliar with Indian hotels - you basically get two types - the standard hotels where you'd go and stay for a wedding, or business trip, and then the typical "that doesn't look too nice" type of basic guest house.||||This is the latter - sure, it certainly ain't pretty. BUT, the rooms are spotless, the staff are wonderful and couldn't be more helpful, the food is OK (I can't really comment so much as I was ill almost as soon as I arrived and hardly ate the entire time i was there), rooms have comfy beds, good size, TV, own bathroom. No issues of noise. The guest house is secure and safe.||||Now, I was there for a business meeting across town and wanted to take advantage of the shopping opportunities in Delhi whilst I was there. Everything you could possibly want is within walking distance. Lots of market areas, Main Bazaar is about 15 mins walk away, be sure to check out the temple market just around the corner opposite the Coffee House (an excellent choice for breakfast, tea, meeting or whatever) and there are literally dozens of different restaurants all within spitting distance.||||Top tip - because of the design of Connaught Place, it is easy to get totally confused if you are new to the area. Your navigation point is Lord of The Drinks which is on the corner on the opposite side of the road. Everyone knows where this place is. The temple and market and coffee house are over the other side from there.||||This isn't really a place for family holidays, business trips or solo backpackers who want to meet and hang out with other backpackers. But for people like me, this guest house is perfect and I'll be staying there on my next trip without hesitation.
