I booked this guest house because of its location and I was so pleased that I did. Now, it is worth explaining something to those visitors who are unfamiliar with Indian hotels - you basically get two types - the standard hotels where you'd go and stay for a wedding, or business trip, and then the typical "that doesn't look too nice" type of basic guest house.||||This is the latter - sure, it certainly ain't pretty. BUT, the rooms are spotless, the staff are wonderful and couldn't be more helpful, the food is OK (I can't really comment so much as I was ill almost as soon as I arrived and hardly ate the entire time i was there), rooms have comfy beds, good size, TV, own bathroom. No issues of noise. The guest house is secure and safe.||||Now, I was there for a business meeting across town and wanted to take advantage of the shopping opportunities in Delhi whilst I was there. Everything you could possibly want is within walking distance. Lots of market areas, Main Bazaar is about 15 mins walk away, be sure to check out the temple market just around the corner opposite the Coffee House (an excellent choice for breakfast, tea, meeting or whatever) and there are literally dozens of different restaurants all within spitting distance.||||Top tip - because of the design of Connaught Place, it is easy to get totally confused if you are new to the area. Your navigation point is Lord of The Drinks which is on the corner on the opposite side of the road. Everyone knows where this place is. The temple and market and coffee house are over the other side from there.||||This isn't really a place for family holidays, business trips or solo backpackers who want to meet and hang out with other backpackers. But for people like me, this guest house is perfect and I'll be staying there on my next trip without hesitation.
