Let’s just say my taste buds are still sending thank-you notes. Now, let’s talk views….. sea-facing rooms perched on a hilltop that make you feel like you’ve somehow stumbled into a travel magazine spread. Add ample parking (a rare gem in hilltop stays) and a super duper awesome owner and staff who are so friendly, you’ll be tempted to invite them to your cousin’s wedding. Honestly, I’m starting to wonder if this place is secretly Gokarna’s best-kept secret—or maybe not so secret anymore. Either way, you’d be doing yourself a favor by staying here. Five stars, and then some!

We visited Prema HillTop in Gokarna during New Year’s eve in 2025. It’s a lovely place to stay, especially if you enjoy vegetarian food and beautiful scenery. Many guests talk about the amazing sunsets and delicious meals, but what really makes this place special are the owners, Uncle and Aunt. They are simple, kind people who made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed chatting with them about their life in Gokarna and their experience running the hotel. They made our stay memorable. We definitely recommend this hotel. Plus, you can start the Gokarna Beach trail right from here.

Don’t miss this hilltop stay if you’re in Gokarna — especially if you love nature and peaceful surroundings. Nestled in tranquility, this place offers a stunning sea view right from your room window, where you can sit back and soak in the serenity. From the terrace, you can witness the sea and sky painting ever-changing hues — a treat for any nature lover. The host is incredibly kind and compassionate, and his warm spirit adds to the charm of the place. Rooms are simple and clean, with nothing extravagant — but the breathtaking sea view is the real highlight. Sea-facing rooms are priced around ₹3000 per night. If you’re seeking a quiet, nature-filled getaway, this stay is absolutely worth it.

I would give this place 6 stars! First of all it was QUIET; no dogs barking at night, no car horns, no traffic noise. Food was excellent and service A1; was made food on request, special foods for an upset stomach, driven up the hill, given lots of local info & history. My room at the cliff look off was clean and comfortable with a gorgeous view to the Arabian Sea. I can hardly wait to come back!

The rooms are spacious and have all the basic amenities. The location is stunning, and the view from the hilltop is absolutely breathtaking. We spent an hour there, watching the sunset and enjoying tea served by the hosts. It was one of the most memorable experiences for me. The hosts are very warm and kind, making the stay even better. This place is a must-visit! We didn’t get a chance to try their food, but I’ll definitely come back next time to try it.

It’s all about the location! We had the sea view rooms atop a hill and the view was just great. In fact you get to see the nearby beaches and the sunset right from your terrace.|The restaurant is located at the base of the hill. It is spacious and airy. Vegetarian breakfast is served here. The breakfast is homemade like and made with love!|Rooms are very basic and a cupboard is suggested. They are clean. The service is quite prompt given that the staff have to come from the base of the hill.|The Kudle beach, which is one of the best in Gokarna, starts just outside the main gate and there are a number of eateries in the vicinity.|All in all it was a great experience.

Best place in Gokarna area and not only. This is the most gentle family hosting the Prema Hotel. Rooms are large, beds with soft materass. Very very clean. When it gets hot, you can turn on the A/C. Hot water is 24/7 but not really needed. If you decide to go on the very top of the hill, there is breath taking view towards the Ocean and amazing breeze is also there. Beach is not accessible from the hotel, need to go outside 300 mt. Beautiful beach. You can observe the beautiful sunset from here.
