Great location, friendly staff, lovely ambience in the lounge. The issue I have with this hotel is that there is nothing to watch on the television...you need to log in with your Netflix or DSTV creds to access, now I don't do this in case I forget to log out.how does an establishment of this standard not offer basic services which hotels of a lower standard offer...

All appeared nice at the beginning until the details began to unravel. The room had no fridge. The batteries in the TV remote control were flat and the TV was complex to operate. Then after the meal we were requested to pay cash. The option to charge the bill to our room was not available unless we paid a deposit. An inconvenient first.||The food was served fast but was bland. The room was far and passages to the room especially the staircases were wet with " Wet Floor" signs the whole day yet it was not raining. Not clear where the water was coming from.

Great place, beautiful and well-maintained grounds, rooms are kept very clean. Location is close to Morningside and Sandton malls. The hotel offers complimentary shuttles within a 5kms distance. Seating area near the reception and bar area is great for meeting with visitors. A small gym is available.

Reviews On day one we complained that the Dstv was out of order, they reassured us that a technician would be called out, we waited, no one pitched there was no follow up! The next night we complained again and this time we were reassured that the technician was arriving at 12pm so stayed up, waiting patiently but no one pitched! The third night we called again and shortly thereafter there was load shedding and they do not have a generator! We still received no apology, no explanation and no call from Management! Unless of course, there was no manager! FYI they provide one bath towel for two adults sharing! There’s more…. at the breakfast buffet a waitress took pastries with her bare hand, in full view of the guests and ate it right in front of us! I will never return and will never recommend Premier Hotel Quatermain!

I traveled Solo. It was a horrible experience for a solo female traveling from USA at Premier Hotel. They claim to have complimentary rides to nearby shopping center and return. They took me one time to a shopping center. The driver told me he will pick me up at 3pm . I came out to stand at 250pm. When he wasn't there by 330 I started calling hotel. They claim they will send driver but by 4pm no driver. I call hotel to explain I didn't know my way back they just dropped the phone on me. A stranger was able to send for a Uber that I paid to drop me back at the hotel|When I got back my hotel door was wide open. But by the grace of God no items were missing. I had been gone approx. 10 hours. I don't know when someone had come into my room and left the door wide open with my luggage and purses in full view. The hotel sleeping area was fairly clean but the shower appeared to have mold in the corners. I wouldn't advise a female solo traveler to stay at Premier Hotel. I didn't find the front desk workers helpful at all. It was a disaster. I gave 2 stars only because the sleeping area was fairly clean.

This is probably the best value hotel in Johannesburg, Sandton. A hidden diamond amongst tacky coal.||If you have the class to recognise old school colonial quality, reminiscent of a serene Oxbridge college with immaculately maintained serene gardens, this is the option for you.||First up the hotel represents awesome value for money at a little over 1000 rand a night with members discount...||It is a walkable distance (at least for anybody with a bit of energy) from charming Morningside mall and it's excellent restaurants such as Hussars Grill, Tashas, Paul even Woolworths cafe etc.||The spacious rooms exude pure class - wood furniture, ultra spacious, very high ceilings, enormous bathrooms with huge bathtubs and showers, properly built during an era when standards were maintained properly.||Minus points:||The hotel is huge. You may have to walk through sweeping grass gardens to reach your room for a full 5 minutes. No lift; if you are very lazy and cannot recognise old school class when you see it, this may annoy you.||Internet in the rooms is shaky but impeccable Internet is available in the classy lounge area opposite reception. For 1000 rand a night with premier members discount or a little more, you can afford to buy your own Internet bundle rather than hanging off hotel WiFi.||The restaurant does their best, but with a relatively low number of guests it is not easy for them to match the standards of a busy restaurant. Remember you can always stroll down the hill to nearby Tasha's, Hussars Grill or Paul if you find yourself hankering after a little more...||Warning: if you are the sort of person seduced by a tacky, flashy, modern Chinese built glass glitzy hotel built 5 minutes ago in a tourist trap location next to Mandela Square , you may well perceive this hotel as "old fashioned" or "haunted". The old school class of this place, may be too far over your head for you to understand its charm. Such sort of guests - who believe to be good it must be flashy / modern, will probably not fully appreciate the high standards and real class of Quatermain...||If you can appreciate old school class at it's finest, I look forward to meeting you in the hotel lounge on my next visit..to cap it all off, this establishment even has a wood burning stove burning real firewood on cold winter nights to keep the chill away...||

This is a very nice hotel with exceptionally friendly staff - from the porter that carried my luggage to reception and the breakfast staff - all friendly, neatly dressed and professional. The room is very big and the bathroom had a bathtub and seperate shower. There is mildew growing on the walls but nothing a little bit of domestos cannot sort out. I needed some body lotion - reception had it sent to my room within 2 minutes - Charlotte Rhys - fantastic.|I can highly recommend the hotel.
