Premier Hotel Rus

Unfortunately I can't recommend this hotel to anyone. It's poorly maintained. The first room I was in had faulty electricity and flickering lights. I got moved to a 2nd room, and the next day guests moved into the adjacent room being super loud, and smoking indoors in the hotel. The hotel is clearly labeled non-smoking but it went completely unenforced. After complaining multiple times, the hotel manager didn't do any enforcement. I was told that those guests were booked multiple days in a suite, so..... I don't know, you aren't going to enforce the rules? 🤷 I was offered to move to a 3rd room, and the room I was offered a downgrade. I honestly advise spending the extra $10 or so per day and going to a different hotel.

There are many positives to this hotel. First, the staff is so helpful with whatever you need. Most speak good English and are eager to help. Kudos for that!!! The location is good. The rooms are clean and adequate. The lobby is cared for and attractive. ||The rooms are in need of a face lift as is the exterior. Aesthetically it looks like a Soviet hotel and the TV in the room is from that era as well. ||Overall, for the price including breakfast this hotel is a great option. Just don’t expect five star rooms.

A bit worn down but location and the views are amazing

Perfect location for a city break trip to Kyiv.|Excellent quality breakfast in a lovely dining room. The rooms are slightly dated but clean and comfortable and the whole ambiance of the hotel is one of friendly and very efficient hospitality. |Loved everything about our stay here!

I needed a hotel in the centre with parking space for the car. The hotel was rated 3 star but reviews were OK and the roomrate was attractive. Big parking lot, friendly welcome at reception. Size of the standard room was sufficient. Had something to eat in the terrace bar. Also very friendly service. Booked already for my next visit. Good value for money.

I stayed here for 2 nights in different rooms. From the outside, the building looks like a huge Soviet era building but once inside all is good. Check in was smooth and efficient - though at times I did see the reception get very busy. This hotel has lots of floors so waiting for an elevator takes longer than you might like sometimes - but once up to the right floor, it's long corridors to get to the room. Even though they are a bit dated, the rooms are comfortable with everything you need for a good nights sleep. The hotel has decent and reasonably priced bar in the lobby area that also serves decent food. It probably isn't the best place in Kiev but certainly good for a short stay to enjoy a few days in this great city

I would give it 3-4 stars because the room was much better than expected based on the overall look of the hotel and how the entrance/lobby, which are seriously outdated. But as this was one of their remodelled rooms (don't stay in the old ones), it was a pleasant surprise - especially the modern-looking bathroom. However, it all went downhill from there. This hotel is very popular with large groups, often of sports teams, which means a packed reception at check-in and even more packed breakfast buffet. And worst of all, loud party people in the middle of the night. And the walls are quite thin, so you will hear EVERYTHING (yes, not only loud TV but also the girlfriends they bring to the rooms). Sleep, you will not in this hotel Also, remember the nice, modern bathroom I mentioned at the beginning? The sink must have been clogged, as it remained full of water for several seconds even after the shortest use of the water faucet. So overall this hotel is not a bad choice for groups, especially as they have many conference rooms, and the rooms are cheaper than President next door, but they're not so good for couples or solo travelers (or for people who would like a full night of sleep). They definitely need to pay attention to some details.

Lovely hotel, lovely location. Standard room is really not worth the bother. But if you have the money available for the extortionate price that is charged to upgrade. Then you will be very happy staying here. Depending upon what staff member you have depends on your service. Just don't expect quick service outside in the summer months, even when its quiet. Food was excellent ,breakfast well it's best to stay in bed. I don't know anyone that wants Luke warm rice and potatoes from yesterday. Especially for breakfast.
