I've now stayed in all the Premier Inns in Bristol. Though not my favourite, this was perfectly reasonable and comfortable. Though there was often an absence of staff at reception, when they were there, they were very friendly and warm, I liked that a lot. The location is perfect for the city centre and the harbour, but can suffer from noise in the evening, mostly due to its location near to pubs and bars, which by the way, are very good if that's what you are after.
People arrived back at the hotel in the early hours and even though I was at the end of a corridor, I could hear bumps and muffled voices that woke me up. Sound proofing is worse than other premier inns.
I hated the fact I couldn't open the window further than a few inches, I kept bumping my head, I just wanted some fresh air as the room was stuffy. The air con worked, but the thermostat didn't, so it stayed on all night, though I adjusted the fan speed so it was quiet. The room was also rather dark, but lighting was ok.
I stupidly tried to save money by eating breakfast in a nearby cafe, don't bother, the premier Inn breakfasts are excellent value at 10.99 for all you can eat.
All in all, a reasonably comfortable stay.
