We have stayed here many times but not in the last few years due to their inflated prices Luckily, this year we found a couple of rooms for bargain prices|This Premier Inn has been updated with The Social The whole Reception, Bar and Dining areas have had a glow up and are very cosy and welcoming.|My husband & I checked in via the automatic booths which were easy to use We went to our room which had a standing fan & discovered the air con was not working We went back to Reception and one of the staff said he had now turned on the air con in our room Back up to the room & the air con still wasn’t working Back down to Reception A different member of staff, Ashley said he would swap our room & did this immediately & without fuss He apologised & was very friendly |The new room was bigger & everything worked Room very clean & Bayliss & Harding hand wash/shower gel provided Decent tv, tea making facilities & the bed was comfy. |We went back to The Social in the late afternoon for a drink at the bar Ashley was welcoming & took our orders & brought our drinks over Such good service which I didn’t expect in a Premier Inn. 2 for 1 cocktails all day & happy hour drinks are 2 for £8 We didn’t try any food but the prices seemed reasonable & perfect if you didn’t want to leave the hotel.|I would definitely recommend this hotel for a trip to Cardiff It is centrally located, clean and we experienced excellent service

I'm really surprised to see so many negative reviews! |We've just had a two night family Break here and everything was good! |Easy walk from Queen Street Station, smooth check-in, (used the machine), on-site Stasher Lockers, access by QR code.|Family room was plenty big enough for 2 adults and 2 young people + all our luggage! |There's a guest supplies area, so you can refresh your room trays as often as you like.|The food was hot and tasty, plenty of choice for breakfast and prices were very reasonable 👌 |It was clean throughout and the staff were mostly happy to help. It was extremely hot weather and we were consistently asking for iced (tap) water, which they happily supplied.|I, and my family, had a lovely stay and would highly recommend without hesitation !!

Very good stay to be fair. From the outside the hotel looks quite nice and the lobby is modern and welcoming, not run down like some other Premier Inns I’ve stayed at. The room itself was very spacious with a decent view over Cardiff. While most of the room was clean, certain areas like the bathroom have clearly seen better days. I suspect this is more down to the cleaning process than wear and tear. One issue was the shower. It doesn’t hold in all the water which ends up going all over the floor. If this isn’t cleaned up straight away it’s bound to cause damp or mould, and unfortunately there was already quite a bit of mould in the shower. Aside from that, everything else was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. I didn’t try the breakfast this time but from past experience across other Premier Inns it’s generally fine, nothing special but decent enough for the price.

We stayed in a Premier plus room on the 10th floor, (the lift was very quick, silent and really roomy). Our room was very spacious, clean, well appointed and spotless as was the en-suite bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and clean, everything is well thought out and provided all that we needed. The Cardiff Central Premier inn location is ideal for accessing the town centre and the Castle is a ten minute walk away. The staff that we came across were courteous and helpful. We ate in the restaurant before going out and the food was well cooked and tasty as was breakfast the following morning. All in all we will stay here again.

Omg what has happened to this place we have stayed here numerous times and never a problem but this time what performance. Paid for early check in for 2 premier plus rooms only to be told there are not ready we needed these rooms to get changed for our sons graduation hence why paying the extra fee but kept on being told not ready the young boy on reception was trying to help and very polite but the older man what an unhelpful rude man needs to go back on a customer service course! I’ve got so much more to say about this man and the rest of it but I will leave it to my complaint to head office about him they left us with 10 minutes to get showered and dressed for our event! And believe me we wasnt the only ones in this situation.||The rooms we had were ok not worth the extra for premier plus ultimate wifi kept on going off so just had to use our data ||Breakfast food was really nice and the lady cooking was lovely and polite and friendly (show your colleague how it’s done!) but the drinks either there was no cups for the coffee or glasses for the juice and orange juice was empty the whole time we was at breakfast so need to sort that out ||The man in the bar in the evening very nice too ||So I said earlier gone downhill massively since our last stay so my advice is pay a bit extra and stay somewhere else

We had a family room which was as expected on the third floor so not one of the bigger rooms but big enough for us. As with all premier ins good standard clean rooms. No parking on site and NCP nearby is quite expensive. Breakfast was really good. Staff were nice and welcoming. Good value for money as with most premier ins. Lobby and sitting area is very nice and modern. One of the best I’ve been too from premier in Only downside is the free WiFi is very poor , very hit and miss and if you’re on 3 or o2 network the mobile data coverage is very poor.

Convenient for High Street, Train Station and Utilia Stadium. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Saw me faffing about with the check in machine and came over straight away to help. Had a Premier + room very big no view. Bar area very nice. Breakfast good best fried ever had in a hotel.

Great location in city centre but not noisy at night. Building is underwhelming but social areas welcoming and staff super friendly and helpful.|Room was basic - windows don't open and AC is dated - but beds were comfortable and plenty of space for 3 adults.|Some issues with bathroom - shower flooding, etc - were quickly resolved when reported.|Overall, a good value experience, but beware the pricey parking in and NCP.

Yelp
The beds were uncomfortable and my flight was at 6am so we had to get up at 3am I never got sleep at all. All I heard was someone watching Gordon Ramsey's Hell's Kitchen. While I was in the other room with my neck snapping against the stiff pillows. Nice to know he was having fun. The customer service was nice to say the least
