Premier Inn Carlisle Central hotel

Not quite as central as we had hoped - about a mile from city Center but lovely stay. Staff at reception and attached Brewers Fair all very helpful and friendly. Room bright airy and very clean with of course Premier Inn mattress- very good sleep |Food at Brewers Fair was delicious and again served by cheery staff. We had both dinner and breakfast which was covered by an amazing offer at about £27 per person for 2 course dinner, a drink and breakfast! |Hotel located minutes from M6 and a great stop over

We stayed here on a long journey south from Scotland.|We had a new Premier Plus room which we found very comfortable. We loved the addition of the comfy chair and footstool. Also the high stool to sit on when using the hair dryer. |A good selection of tea and coffee and complimentary water.|The shampoo, hand soap in the bathroom were gorgeous!|We had breakfast in the on-site restaurant and would like to mention JOANNE on reception (and everywhere else!) for her lovely smile and helpfulness.

During our recent stay, we had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional service, and we simply have to give credit where it's due. Jo, who was working at the breakfast restaurant, made our mornings so much brighter. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with such warmth and energy, making us feel right at home. She went out of her way to make sure our toddler had everything she needed, even offering a high chair without us having to ask and sharing some great recommendations for kid-friendly items on the menu. Jo's kindness truly set the tone for a wonderful start to each day. And then there's Brian at the hotel reception—what a gem! From the moment we arrived, his friendly demeanor and genuine willingness to help stood out. He made the check-in process smooth and even went the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay with a toddler. Brian's knowledge of the area and thoughtful tips made exploring the local spots a breeze. His attention to detail and care made a huge difference in making our experience feel personal and comfortable. It’s rare to come across people who genuinely seem to enjoy their work and care about the guests, but Jo and Brian both did just that. They made our stay so much more enjoyable, and we're truly grateful for their outstanding service. Thank you, Jo and Brian!

Super fast check in. Accommodated an early entry for the extra cost at short notice. Even changed our rooms so we could check in earlier than planned. Very helpful and friendly staff both in the hotel and the restaurant. Lovely service at breakfast. The evening meal wasn't at its best but was edible.

Nice hotel, rooms although been updated with premier plus still felt old. I could hear every passer by the door to my room no matter how quiet and people upstairs behind me. So it was not a soundless sleep but other wise good hotel, staff a very friendly and professional and location is great for visitors in Carlisle or passing by to and from Scotland

One of the best Premier inns I've stayed in & 1st among equals.Rooms are larger than Ibis or Travelodge, tastefully decorated and even had a fan turned on when I checked in during this heatwave.Cleaning is upon request at reception and my room was spotless. A very welcoming reception on arrival,adding buses stop directly outside the hotel that take you to and from the city centre. There's an excellent Brewers Fayre next to the hotel and a lidl over the road.Highly recommended

Avoid room 110 at all costs. It looks out onto the kitchen waste bins and hotel air con units. The smell when you open window is bad but the noise is horrendous. Even with window closed it's so noisy. Fortunately the lovely lady on reception managed to change my room. My company paid £160 for the one night. If I hadn't been moved I would have had to find another hotel az no way anyone can sleep with that noise going on......

Check in very easy, staff friendly and helpful, clean room and bathroom,||Evening meal was excellent and the breakfast in the morning all you can eat you cannot fault. We would definitely use a Premier Inn again if needed.
