They have absolutely beautiful doors! All size and styles. The ladies were very helpful and knowledgeable. We were able to find everything we needed, and all in one store!

Amazing gold mine of antique house supplies/decor! I never thought I would be able to find a door/matching hardware to fit in my house and match the rest. The staff was amazing and so so helpful at finding what I needed, and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with what I had found and that it would all work together. I will definitely be back!

If you are looking for antique doors, Windows, Gates, mantels, hardware, lighting or anything else salvaged from an old home or building, this is the place. Friendly staff and lots of merchadise.

We live in Philadelphia, and we have bought many pieces from PS. They have the absolute best selection we ever found. Great taste and organization.

I thoroughly enjoy going here to look for things to put back into my house. Previous homeowners stripped away all of the old character…Preservation Station is slowly but surely allowing me to reclaim my home to its unique 1950s original state. I find something different every time I visit this place. Their prices aren’t extravagant either. I don’t have a huge budget and we are doing a lot of the work ourselves. I appreciate salvage shops like this!

Google
Wandered into this place on an 'exploration Sunday'.., looking for a specific latch-catch for an antique, surface mount locking assembly. Didn't find what I was looking for, but this place is a treasure trove for any original restoration project. The staff is helpful and seem to know their inventory, and some of the salvage is interesting enough to make one think they're in a museum! Old doors, locks, mantels, lintels, hinges, windows and much more. Wait for the weather to cool down a bit and visit just for the fun and nostalgia of it all.

Google
One of the coolest browsing stores in Nashville. Friendly staff easy location on 8th Ave! If you have never been, stop by one day! You may be surprised at what you see?

Yelp
This is the coolest salvage store I have ever been to! The selection of fireplace mantels, doors, and church windows is impressive. They have a large selection of very special pieces, from columns and railings to light fixtures and decor. Very friendly staff.

Yelp
Preservation Station sits on 8th Avenue just south of downtown and is bursting at the seams with antique architectural furnishings and fittings, so much so that even the parking lot has doors, tubs, sinks, windows, etc...in it! This place is filled from floor to ceiling, no embellishment, with doors, windows, mantels, hardware, door knobs, lights, handles, cabinets and other items. While majority of the items were aged quite a bit, it did appear that they had some new build doors and such if that is what you are after. Honestly, I think 50% of the inventory is doors of some variety, and I wasn't mad it! It is such a cool space to wander around for a bit. We stopped by looking for antique furniture and while they have a few pieces, that is not what this place is about. Even though we didn't find what we were after, it was cool to wander up and down the hallways and through the maze of rooms scoping out the goods...we really loved some of the windows and lights they have hanging around. Some absolutely beautiful, and pricey, finds that I could see absolutely making a space! The staff was pleasant and friendly, she greeted us when we were walking around and again as we were leaving. Overall, I could see the need and popularity of a place like this, especially when it comes to remodeling, replacing or upgrading a space.

Yelp
Walking in here is like walking into a room of treasures. So much cool stuff! I do recommend you have an idea of what you are looking for or you could spend HOURS here wandering the aisles. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Gorgeous, one-of-a-kind salvaged works of art. I willingly lingered in every dark and dreamy corner making certain I didn't miss a hidden gem. I wanted to purchase 4 different magnificent chandeliers - ya gotta get a chandelier! - but my wallet advised me to remain practical. I found an absolutely stunning deco era glass towel rack that fits perfectly in our new guest bathroom. I will return here often. Even if only to marvel at the craftsmanship of skilled artisans lost to cheap materials and mass production. http://www.hulu.com/watch/10329

Yelp
Over-priced, in my opinion. Go a few minutes outside the city and you'll find similar items for far less. But hey, if it works for them, who can blame 'em?! They have a ton of antique doors, many of which are over $1000 each, light fixtures, etc.

Yelp
If you want to browse antiques, this is the place. They have a side lot for parking. We went in the morning, so it wasn't packed. FYI the bathroom is gross, so go before you visit. Lots of old doors, mantels, hinges, knobs, lights, etc. You might see a cool novelty piece like an old Shell gas pump. If I was renovating a house in the area, I would definitely consider shopping here.

Yelp
I love this salvage/antique/refurbished place. We spent Saturday morning going around to different places and it's the best of the antique/salvage yard/shop we found in Nashville. They have a great mix of salvaged doors/windows/random finds, but also a selection of refurbished items/decor. Not too overpriced, but a few things did seem to have their share of markup (mostly the decor pieces). We bought a killer operating lamp and can't wait to get it shipped home. The couple that own it are beyond nice. Happy to patron such a cool spot.

Yelp
Here you will find multiple rooms organized into group displays of really cool and highly sought after antique and vintage architectural salvage. Large stuff, small stuff, tons of doorknobs, Windows, doors, lighting fixtures and some really unique chunks of history. The prices are what you would expect from a specialty salvage preservation style establishment. Me? Nice place to visit, but I prefer to get dirty digging through piles of forgotten junk and negotiating a great price for a bundle of treasures. Just my personal preference. So I loved it when the lovely young lady at the counter redirected me to a place just like that not far away upon my inquiry. This is a friendly store! Thanks, y'all!

Yelp
Always a joy shopping here and always blown away with the hands-on customer service!! Great spot to find unique, one-off antique / salvaged pieces that you can't really get online. I just love going as I know the staff will help me find what I need. Pleasure doing business with y'all

Yelp
BUYER BEWARE. It is very unfortunate that I have to write this review. Preservation Station has been a staple for me to find doors and hardware for my extensive remodel and I planned on using them in the future. Our current home is furnished with 900$ front doors from this business as well as every other interior door in our home, back door and garage side door. I went in yesterday and purchased a new back door from them, but because I had a rental car and my SUV was in the shop, I had to come back less than 24 hours later to pick it up. When I got home, I realized that door is a little too thick and the hinges are on the wrong side. My bad. So, I thought since it had been under 24 hours, it would be an easy return. Sadly this business, as they are "a small business" is very RIGID about their return policy. Initially, she told me they would do a return if it was the same day but "sorry, it's a day late." Then after I tried to explain that as a small business, perhaps they shouldn't be so short sighted to not allow me to return a door and lose future upcoming business. After calling the owner, she returned my call and told me they were sticking to their policy. I may understand if I had tried to pick up the door a week later or a month, but I came to picke up the door the next day. A business that is so hung up on a 200$ sale and can't see a long term relationship as more important doesn't deserve return business. It's maddening when people get so caught up in the letter of their law that they would rather salvage a short term profit over long term gain and turn a great customer with a loud mouth who loves to refer people to them in to a very dissatisfied patron here in Nashville. So, beware...of their very clear policy and don't you dare make an impulse buy....or just find somewhere else to buy reclaimed doors. Chances are, you can find a better deal with a little digging. I lost 200$ today, (because I doubt I'll be using their store credit) but there's no telling how much $$ they have lost today.

Yelp
I needed a glass knob for an antique piece of furniture not only did they have a great selection of glass knobs but also the screw that was needed to secure it. Wonderful place with tons of items. Friendly staff.

Yelp
I've been looking to find a continuum of original materials for our pre-1900 San Francisco home, and these folks had what I was looking for - quality original pieces and great service. Can't wait to visit them in Nashville.

Yelp
If you're needing anything cool for your house, or you have something older that needs some replacement parts, this is the place. It's got every kind of knob, screw, pipe, etc., that you'll need.

Yelp
Oh my gosh, I had seen this place on Nashville Flipped, and it far succeeded my expectations. The people were helpful and super nice. I plan to go back now that I've figured out placement for some pieces.

Yelp
Plainly stated, you won't find a better architectural antique business than the Preservation Station. The owners, Jack & Julia, and their staff painstakingly select the unique and interesting items they feature, to include the history behind each piece. This enables you to make an informed decision about your selections. The Preservation Station maintains an impressive inventory of distinctive items that truly can be used as originally designed, or multi-purposed - and the staff has the imagination and expertise to help understand their customers and their needs. Visit their Facebook page for wonderful concepts! For historic homes, it's a perfect place to find items that suit your decor. If you're looking for an architectural feature, whether it be chandelier, doors, mantle, light fixtures, door hardware, windows - you name it - the Preservation Station has the architectural conversation piece that'll set your home or business apart from the rest of cookie-cutter architectural design. The best part is that the prices are very reasonable when you consider the amount of effort that goes into researching, locating, acquiring, transporting, and reconditioning (as needed) each piece. I'm compelled to comment on the low review that was fueled by the Preservation Station's justifiable return policy. This policy is not out of the norm for this niche of this or similar industries. A store credit is absolutely an acceptable response to an item returned within the clearly advertised policy. Shop around and you'll find this is the norm. Yes, buyer beware, but that's no different than anywhere!

Yelp
i mean... this place is made of dreams... and magic... and amazingness. they also cut deals if you drop a chunk of change, which is always appreciated. this is one of my most favorite places in the entire world.

Yelp
I was absolutely in awe. We have an historic home and needed specific door mechanics for some repairs. They not only had more than we needed; but everyone was so knowledgeable and helpful. We will be back here a lot!

Yelp
If you are building or renovating a house, this is a must stop. As in, early in the process. Pieces so cool you design around them. We picked up a couple of items that are just so unique they will be central in the home we are building. Staff is extremely nice, helpful and knowledgable. We will be making several visits!

Yelp
Killer spot for industrial style home furnishings- floor lamps, sconces, benches, etc. Plus an array of beautiful historic hardware for restoration projects: knobs, hinges and locks. Prices are fair and they also do light fixture re-wiring for cheap.

Tori T.

Yelp
This place is wonderful. The staff is excellent, so helpful. My husband and I were restoring a door from our shed to put on our house. They helped us identify the 1880 hinges and door handles. The service was incredible. We had all the hardware cleaned and polished. They are beautiful. I highly recommend visiting this gem. Thanks PSAA!

Pete M.

Yelp
Our design team loves them and use them often for our hardware and other amazing items in our design.

Yelp
Went to the store to browse and found a window I liked, asked if they would take 40.00 instead of 45.00. The sales clerk said she could not do that and would have to see if the manager would allow that Whooping 5.00 discount. Called back a few days later to check, and they said no!!! Really lose a sale and customer for 5.00. Sad!

Tommy J.

Yelp
Very rude service and all around bad experience. Will never set foot back in this store

Ray K.

Yelp
At one time this was a nice place to find a great deal. Now it's more focused on tourist and tourist prices.
