We stayed at the President Hotel and really appreciated the spacious and clean rooms. Breakfast was included, which was convenient, though the quality wasn’t the best — we tried it the first morning but ended up exploring other breakfast spots afterward. One of the highlights was having parking right at the hotel with valet service, making it easy to come and go as we pleased. They also provide beach towels, which was a nice touch given that the beach is 1 bloc away, which we loved. Overall, the location is truly unmatched, making it a great choice for anyone visiting the area.

Google
Room was fine, the only thing was that we booked a room with balcony which is a little extra than a standard room and we got the room with a balcony but couldn't access it due to a portable air condition that was hooked on to the door with cardboard and duck tape. The door was accessible the entire time which was concerning for us leaving the room being that anyone could've easily broke in. When we tried asking the receptionist "Luciano" , his response was awful he had a horrible attitude and spoke with an unnecessary sarcasm. Other than that the area was great, breakfast was always great and the hotel was very clean would definitely consider going back if Luciano isn't on shift. Henry (the other reception gentleman) was awesome great guy and the Dominican maintenance guy was also super welcoming and helpful.

Everything could be upgraded in the hotel just like every other hotel in this area but the workers do their best to keep them clean. It would be nice to have better English speaking front desk workers. The breakfast is really sub-par, basic. They could do with some fresh cut fruit and options. Unfortunately, the lobby was super hot and that’s also where breakfast is served. It’s a great location and the workers do very good at keeping the old building clean.

Google
In general pretty good. The room didn't look at all like the one booked in Expedia. Simple room on the 4th floor ("penthouse"). It had a huge handicap walking shower. Low water pressure. Breakfast was pretty good. The bartender during happy hour is great!!! Staff is very friendly. Great location!!!

Google
Beautiful location, just a short walk to the beach, Ocean Drive, and Espanola Way. The building is historic and the lobby is tastefully designed. The service is amazing! Shout out to James and Kevon who were super helpful with logistics when checking in and out. Only critique is the rooms are pretty bare bones and humid, but that’s to be expected in a historic building by the ocean. Breakfast was basic but high quality, and the welcome drinks were a nice touch! Pool was straightforward but quiet and private. Overall a great stay.

Google
My husband and I stayed here 3 nights before our cruise with my sister and her family of 3 also. I love the location of this quaint boutique hotel, with many restaurants/shops within a few block away, and the beach just a short walk. The front desk staff was friendly and checked us into our 3rd floor rooms without any trouble. Our rooms was clean, but the bathroom and elevator was a bit small. The hallway carpet is outdated, but everything else works, so I was okay with it. There were enough selection at breakfast, and we enjoyed eating our breakfast out back in the garden areas. The bartender made some delicious cocktails and we enjoyed our coupons for our drinks on that first night. On our last night, we sat outside enjoying our pizzas and wings, and just watching people and fancy cars drove by. Very peaceful and relaxing. I def want to stay here again when in Miami.

Google
A very nice and pleasant place. The facilities are well maintained, and the atmosphere is both comfortable and relaxing. I especially want to highlight the excellent service. Luciano, the young man who assisted us at the front desk, and Kevon were exceptionally courteous and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Google
This crew is exceptional with the customer service. Very clean environment, good breakfast. They all make me feel like I’m at home. They took care of me even when my flight canceled. I didn’t have any problems getting back into my room. Luciano, James, Zel, Manuel, Henry, and Micheal. I love you guys for your professionalism and the hospitality that made my experience feel like I was with family. I recommend PRESIDENT HOTEL!

Yelp
Fantastic experience! I booked on Priceline, which I don't recommend. Book direct as the pricing ends up being better. The gentleman at the desk was lovely and put in the the building next door with a nice balcony. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and air conditioner was magical! There is an awesome cat that sleeps on the walkway between the two buildings. It's super chill and lets you pet him. Also, in the evenings, it's awesome to grab a cocktail, hang out on the front porch area and people watch.

Yelp
At first I wasn't sure how my experience was going to be. Fortunately, it's been a Great Experience! Henry at the front desk goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, happy, and enjoying your stay. The room is awesome! Very spacious, and the way a requested. The staff members are very friendly and ready to help on anything you need. I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
STAY AWAY!!!!!! The room pictures are misleading (do NOT get any of the villas or terrace- NOT TRUE) I got a terrace room through Expedia and got some room with a closed off balcony. The staff is taught to "know nothing". All BLANK LOOKS ON t THEIR FACE And SAY "NO". When it's cloudy tge pool is closed. I paid the $65 "resort" fee to just get two bottles of water per day. SCAMM!!!! STAY AWAY!!!

Yelp
Room was clean, everything is within walking distance. Loved having a balcony even though it just overlooked the side of the hotel lol. Service and check in were good. And again, everything is within walking distance. Free drink upon check in and breakfast is free as well.

Yelp
We had 2 rooms booked. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are tiny; really tiny. The other room had a leaky ceiling over the desk from condensation off the air conditioner. We booked the rooms on Expedia because they got good reviews and were in our price range, but I was not pleased when they added a surcharge (if I recall correctly is was $49) per room upon arrival. Not sure if that's Expedia's fault (for not disclosing that info) or the Hotels. The rooms were clean and the staff were kind. The pool was located on the roof of the building next door. I suppose I was just hoping for better. As always, you get what you pay for.

Yelp
Booked this hotel via Expedia and was under the impression that they had onsite self parking and car valet services. Got to the hotel and was informed only valet was available. I had an issue with the price of valet quoted to me (website-Expedia and hotel-said $40, I was told at property $65 because I had a larger car). I decided not to stay since I felt like I was getting ripped off. When I contacted the hotel for a refund (since parking information provided was incorrect), the refund was denied. Honestly though, it has been the resolution process with Diego rather than the refund denial that has been awful. First, I was told they don't charge people $65 (like I just made it up). Then, I was told that it wasn't their fault I didn't read the parking information before booking. And then, I was told they have a third party vendor that provides their valet service and they do base price on car size. So which is it? The contradictions are something else. So beyond frustrating!

Yelp
I've been going there for years and will never go again. No Wi-fi in room. Put me in room adjacent to the elevator that was extremely noisy as elevator makes loud noise as it goes up and down, which kept me up much of the night. No hot water one day; apparently can't handle the volume of guests. Management is unresponsive; ignores issues and concerns, makes excuses, and tries to act like problems don't exist.

Yelp
I've stayed at this hotel the past two times I've visit Miami. The price, amenities and staff is always fantastic. It's walking distance from all south beach happenings and the rooftop pool is wonderful. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
A cool place but filled with children. So be warned if you don't want to watch your mouth or language l...but nice rooms with a balcony if you choose that room. If you want the breakfast which is part of the daily resort fee I would get there early. After 10:00 am you will get what's left over.

Cindy G.

Yelp
5 star rating absolutely due to Henry and Kevon. Henry went above and beyond when we arrived at the hotel after our cruise at approximately 9:30 am. Thank you Henry! And Kevon for keeping us laughing and arranging our transportation.

Michelle M.

Yelp
I'm only leaving one star because I can't leave zero. My husband and I booked this girl for our 9th anniversary about 2 months out from the date. We stayed from August 19-22. when we arrive at the hotel at 400-415 the room wasn't ready. No big deal. They gave us extra drink vouchers. We were able to get into the room around 445. The room was clean but very date. Rusty/peeling chairs, aged mirrors with black spots, peeling frosted door for the bathroom, patio/villa door didn't lock, and Wi-Fi that wasnt stong enough for streaming. The pool is pretty small to be shared with neighboring hotel. They only had one valet emplpure that requires about a 30 minute wait to get your car. the day before leaving we pulled back up the hotel to valet our car. After waiting for about 30 minutes, my husband called the valet number, an employee answered and advised he would be there in a few minutes. 15 minutes later the front desk employee walked to our rental without a uniform and asked us to move from in front of the hotel. We advised we were waiting for valet. The employee then asked us to move or give him the keys... my husband said no, we're waiting for valet. he began to yell and said he would have our car towed. after going back and forth my husband decided to just park the 60k BMW rental on the street and go and pack since we were leaving in the morning for our flight. My husband later went down to the front desk to speak to the employe. The employee Greg was apologetic but we didn't care at that point. We assume he didn't know we were hotel guest. When we left in the morning to catch our flight, around 7am the same employee was sleep at the front desk so we didn't even check out. Trust the reviews and please don't stay here!

Yelp
Great location, clean rooms. I only gave it four stars because the check in process was slow. But definitely would stay here again!

Yelp
I was incredibly pleased with my stay-cation at The President Hotel. I found an amazing deal on Booking.com. I mentioned in the special request section that we were staying there because it was my bf's birthday. When we checked in, the gentleman (Brian I think his name was?) not only wished my bf a happy birthday, he gave us an extra drink ticket and upgraded us to a room with a balcony! Check in was fast and efficient as well, about 5 mins. For a room in an Art Deco hotel in South Beach, which are usually very small, this one was pretty spacious. The room, including the bathroom, was bright and clean. The hotel has a medium-sized rooftop pool with a nice view of the ocean & downtown. When we went to cash in our free drink tickets, the bar area was pretty busy and there was only one bartender, Michael, but he was friendly, energetic, and pretty quick at getting drink orders filled. Based on previous Yelp reviews, the breakfast service has greatly improved. The food wasn't all that great, but there were plenty of servers working hard to feed the large number of people in the dining area, and food and drink refills happened fairly quickly. Since I already pay high Miami Beach rent, I don't staycation in South Beach often, but I would certainly choose The President Hotel again if I did and could find a good deal again.

Yelp
I needed a shoe horn to fit into such a small room. On top of that it was the room right by the entrance/ exit but fortunately it was Sunday evening and the hotel was a little quiet. I was told that I should understand that this was Miami Beach. As though the location of the accommodations allow for a lesser value. The room was very clean. Next time I'll be certain to see an image of the room or I'll shop elsewhere.

Yelp
Henry holds this place down! Great location and amenities. Everything my gf and I needed for her bday trip. Leo the maintenance guy was fantastic. The free breakfast was pretty damn good.

Alexandra G.

Yelp
Carlos the bartender is amazing. He has a great pour and amazing personality. Super sweet and knows his knowledge about mixing up the best drinks. Even if you aren't staying here. I recommend stopping by just to see him!

Yelp
We arrived on a Friday night, there were many people just hanging out on the porch of the hotel which were drinking, listening to music, smoking weed, selling weed, this continued throughout our stay...whatever. Welcome to South Beach. Our stay was for 6 nights, we had a room on the first floor, first hallway right by the front door which we asked if we can be relocated and the woman said that we would have to ask on Monday... okay, we just left it alone. The room was decent, it was cleaned, and prepared for our stay. Kudos to the cleaning crew because they did a great job every day in our room. We had an issue one night with the safe which it wouldn't open after we had been using it for a few days & the front desk questioned us about what we had in there (we had our work laptops & wallets in there) just to tell it that we had to wait til the next day to get it opened. The shower water our whole stay was literally boiling hot! We had maintenance come twice to fix it and it literally just went down a full degrees (not a good thing when you've been baking in the sun all day). The hotel is very accessible to the outside public which was a bit of concern for us. As a homeless man literally kept walking into the hotel to go to the public bathrooms, our room was right on the other side of that & from the front lobby to where the rooms are there is no key pad or code to put in just open access. The whole time we really wasn't sure who was staying at our hotel or just hanging around/in it. The staff called the cops a few times we were here to have people removed. There is a small bar in the front but it is only open for a few hours. Next, breakfast... they usually do buffet but because of the pandemic they serve what they normally would have out... every day our breakfast and coffee was cold. The toast and the bagel were never toasted either. They do not have enough servers and take their time so make sure you go early as if not you will be waiting 30+ mins for cold breakfast that doesn't really have much taste. The nice part is for breakfast you can sit on the porch, the inside or outside in their little garden which is nice. The pool is on the rooftop was cool, no real issues there other than it is a lot smaller than expected and can get a little overcrowded. There is an attendant there to get you what you need and help. Elliot was great while we were at the pool. A lot of the staff here were honestly just rude, except a small handful. We asked for a bottle opener on two occasions and they said they didn't have any and to ask the bartender (the bar was closed) so according to them the bartender takes home the cork screw home with him... but it's a hotel & they didn't have any. Overall, good location. The rooms were small but that's expected still has everything you need. Cold, not so good buffet type breakfast, rude staff, mediocre pool. ‍

Yelp
BOOK THIS ONE!!! -I searched for hours on google, articles, yelp, booking.com, priceline, etc for a nice hotel near the beach, with a pool and safe for 2 college girls traveling alone. I finally decided to book this one on their website as it had the greatest review for my budget. When we arrived at 11pm we couldn't figure out how to get in as the door locks. We called the front desk and had someone let us in. We had a king room in the villa expansion next door, just a 1 minute walk to the elevator from the front desk. Room was huge. Large mirrors. perfect for women traveling together. Comfortable bed and pillows. We don't have a single complaint about cleanliness. It was perfect. I love the removable shower head also. Large tv, we never turned it on though. less than 5 minutes from hotel lobby to on the sandy beach. Walgreens is also under 3 minute walk, on the corner of the block. We ate at FL cafe on the street also, it was yum. Walking distance to the outdoor lincoln shopping center. cute photo ops inside. Bar was GREAT!!! Michael/Mike is great. We had the sex on the beach, tequila sunrise, vodka sour and vodka sprite. Asked him if i could have cherry in my SOTB and it was the best cherries i'd had in so long HAHA! mini fridge and safe in our rooms closet. spacious shower. I will recommend this to everyone. We are 21 and 20 also. Pool is small but it is a smaller hotel as most are on collin's avenue. I suggest getting up there at a decent time. All of the staff are so nice!' And they held our bags for us because we didn't have a flight until 10pm. Breakfast was fine no complaints either. Also get a free drink upon check in. and happy hour is 4pm-8pm

Yelp
This is a great and affordable option that is literally one block from beach. However this is not a luxury hotel so the review is based on a 3star hotel experience. Booked on AIRBNB and below are pros and cons: Pro Cheap, close to beach and ocean Ave nightlife, clean, friendly staff (shoutout to Elliot at the pool great DJ and super sweet), free beach towels, comp welcome drinks Con Older hotel with budget renovations, very very small bathroom (however wall opposite the king bed was mirrored and had a desk setup in front of it which I used to get ready), shifty people hanging out front, lackluster complimentary breakfast, NOT 24hr housekeeping (plan ahead and get all your extra towels pillows and toiletries asap when you check in), small rooftop pool.

Yelp
I don't know why anyone would rate this hotel poorly. I had nothing but a great experience at this property. Their customer service was outstanding. We got off of our cruise in the morning and we were able to store our luggage in a locked storage room until our room was ready and while we went and explored the area (it was our first time in South Beach. Once our room was ready, checking in was easy and I was given a voucher for 2 free welcome drinks at the bar from 4-10pm and notified about breakfast in the morning that is included. I was traveling with 3 teenagers and the room was perfect for us. It's cutely decorated in a minimalist fashion. Bright and airy with one wall made of mirrors, a decent sized tv, walk in closet with a mini fridge that worked well. The ac was on and functioning great to relieve us from the Miami heat and humidity and the room smelled nice. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was clean and functional. The elevator is a little small but whatever! This is a boutique hotel. It's small. It's cute. It's older. The location is so perfect. Close to everything you need! Stores, restaurants, and of course the beach! There is a $33 resort fee I believe but you get so much! Beach towels, waters, free breakfast, free alcohol... it's worth it!! Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Excellent customer service plus my room was nice . The continental breakfast was decent as well

Yelp
Good for 2 ppl at most. Rooms are small. Not luxurious if that's what you're looking for. The bathroom is hard to move around in because it's small. The pool is small and there is no poolside bar. They have breakfast daily but it is minimal...enough to hold you over until the next stop. And you can't bring it to your room, must eat it in the small lobby. Elevator is tiny, can hold 3 ppl and one person has to turn sideways. There is no restaurant, workout facility. They give you a welcome drink but it doesn't start until 4pm. They only gave us 2 vouchers even though 4 ppl were reserved for the room. We had to wait at the front desk to bargain for 2 more. Check out took almost 30 min and it was only 1 person in front of us. Good points: The door was key access only after a certain time. The location is close to the beach and several restaurants/shops on Ocean, Collins and Washington.

Yelp
Stayed here for one night before our cruise. I do not understand the weirdly bad reviews. For the price point, this is about the best you could possibly expect. The customer service was excellent. Any request was met with a smile and assistance. Now the clientele is young, but that's what you see with a lower price point. Also, as a 50 year old couple we liked watching 20-year-olds enjoying themselves in South Beach. The room was absolutely spotless. We stayed in a king penthouse room, (just to be clear this was not a 'fancy' room) which was slightly larger than the other rooms we saw. However it was lovely, the decor was special and as we passed housekeeping cleaning other rooms it was apparent that the rooms were not all the same. Breakfast was free. It was the normal hotel breakfast for this price point. I would however like to give a special shout out to the coffee. It was terrific. Ask for 'coffee milk' if you like cream in your coffee. We were gifted with two 'welcome' cocktails. Rail liquor only, of course. Again, to be expected. The lobby had a really neat vibe. Whoever picked the tchotchkes for the wall had a great idea of the use of space and color. It is sparse and modern, and quite clean. The elevator is teeny tiny, but welcome rather than walking four flights of stairs. Resort fees are normal in cities like this. The city taxes the heck out of each rental. The location was fun. We stopped for empanadas at an Italian/Argentinian fusion restaurant. We had a chocolate croissant at a French bakery. This being south beach, we also passed drunks crying on the sidewalk and folks panhandling. All part of the vibe. I think a lot of the reviews are based on the fact that in the Midwest, and in a lot of the south and southwest there's plenty of room to have large hotel rooms. Inside major cities you will never see tremendous hotel rooms unless you are paying a completely different price point. I stayed in a room half the size of this at four times the cost in Boston. I had to open the bathroom door to get the room door wide enough to move my luggage through. You really must review based on apples to apples. Comparing this to the best Western you stayed in in Omaha does not compute. Give them a try. A truly unique boutique hotel.

Yelp
I booked the President Hotel through AirBnB. I received a confirmation email and even exchanged messages with the hotel directly. They cancelled this morning due to a "system error". The booking almost quadrupled in price. I still wanted the reservation, but not for over triple the price, so I called for more information and was yelled at and talked over by both the front desk person and the manager. They claimed my reservation never existed, even though they said they saw an email from AirBnB, and they messaged me the day I booked it to confirm. I guess they realized they could get more money for the night I booked and decided the reservation never existed! If I could give zero stars. I would.

Yelp
Do yourself a real solid and DO NOT STAY HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Shady business practices, fire alarms going off at all times during the night, horrible management, bland rooms and no amenities with crazy resort fees that give you nothing. Absolutely do not stay here if you have even a shred of self respect.

Yelp
Check in is 3pm, we arrived at 3:30. We waited in line for 1 hour to check in, just to be told that we have to wait another hour for maintenance to finish "checking out the room". Multiple other parties of people are in the same boat. We have dinner reservations and plans, and this has ruined all of them. Unprofessional and absurd. Wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
Just finished up our week long stay at the President Hotel. Overall, not the greatest experience. I am not one to leave reviews but hopefully I can be of assistance to others looking to travel in South Beach. To start off, I understand due to Covid restrictions and new guidelines things are a little different than usual. When we got to our room, it was very clean and what we asked for. However for a "king penthouse" room and the price we paid for that description it was kind of a let down with a very small room and bathroom with only a singular window with a view of the building next door. Also, the photos of the pool make it look a lot better than it is, it is very small and can become over crowded/not relaxing. The hotel itself was not overly clean to begin with and the pictures do not show an accurate depiction of this but we could look past that. However, days went on without our room being cleaned because they told us they only clean the room every 4 days. Especially during Covid, I feel as though the rooms should be cleaned more thoroughly than usual. We asked everyday for our room to be cleaned and were told no and new sheets would just be thrown on the bed for us to do it ourselves. I have also seen other reviews saying that the hotel is very open to the public with very little security or monitoring of who was coming in our out and this was extremely accurate and there were always people sitting out on the front steps. Also, the bar is only open from 4-10 and was kind of annoying that we could see the hotel next door with a rooftop pool and poolside bar open all day. On a positive note, a lot of the staff was amazing. The front desk staff was always very welcoming and the bartenders at night were awesome (great drinks too!) Elliott the pool attendant was the best and could not rave about him more. Also the location of this spot is pretty great being only a block from the beach, but do recommend staying closer in a more secluded area with a private beach.

Yelp
Hello I stayed at this hotel from May 6-10 2021. I arrived on a Thursday night. I checked into my room and took a shower after a long day of traveling. Once I exited the shower naked. I looked up and 2 women & 2 little girls walked in my room while I was naked. Apperently the hotel had assigned the family to my room. Im a 51 year old Male and that should not have happened. The Hotel tried to offer me free alcohol & I don't drink. I think this is unaceptable.

Yelp
I have no idea how this is rated 4.1 or how it's a 3 star hotel in Google. I can see Yelp has a more real picture. As soon as I arrived I noticed a strong (and I mean STRONG) bleach smell. I was really hoping it'd be better at the room. As soon as I walked in it was even stronger with a hint of dust or mold, which I'm assuming they were trying to cover up. I had my 5 month old baby with me and she immediately started sneezing. I said "this could give her some respiratory issue" and my husband agreed. So a few minutes into our reservation we went downstairs asking for a cancellation, and I thought the manager would have a bit of common sense, given we had a small baby with us. We were told to wait since the receptionist had to call the manager in order to give us an answer. We then went to lunch and came back. Different receptionist, so we had to wait some more. Nothing. Went to the reception again and was told simply that the manager said no. Wow, great customer service. I questioned the decision and the receptionist simply said "Not my call, I don't get paid enough for this". That's what they call "international staff", whatever that means. Either way, we decided it was not worth risking our baby daughter getting sick, so we left. Contacted the concierge and the manager gave him same answer. Honestly, I don't recommend staying there not just because of my personal experience, but because if you had an issue with anything, they wouldn't give a crap. They wouldn't try to make it better or even try to compromise. So why risk it? Don't be fooled by the photos, this is not a boutique 3 star hotel. It's an old building, with very poor rooms and cleanliness, along with terrible customer service.

Yelp
I have stayed here at this property two times one in the main building and just recently we stayed at the building they have next to the office were the pool is located, and both times I have had excellent service and an amazing stay. We went there during all the hectic covid stuff going on, the beach which is behind the hotel just happened to open up the week I was there which was so much fun. The room when I checked in was not the room that I had reserved but right away they made accommodations even tho they were all booked. The buffet was a little different due to covid but that was totally understandable. The Welcome drinks are so delicious, Margaritas are so yummy and the happy hour at their bar is legit a money saver. We definitely will be booking again in the next month or so..

Yelp
Pretty much still the Penguin. Customer Service was good. Rooms= fair. They were doing construction and didn't share how we wouldn't be able to rest which is why I was there. Pricing was not aligned with the offering.

Yelp
Small rooms . Walls are super thin you can hear moaning and bed squeaking. Pool looks nothing like what you see online. Pool guy super friendly. Decor are cute . You can see where they paint to cover old dingy spots. Needs alot of update . Bathroom is super small so if your on the bigger size. You'll hate it. Staff's are all friendly and helpful. Located near the beach and other convenient spots so no need to rent a car. Plus there isn't much room for parking. Walking distance to everything. Elevator seems to have issues during our stay.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I am giving this place 3 stars for location, cleaning staff, and how well maintained our room was. My wife and I stayed here for 6 days, we paid about $600 to not include the resort fees and taxes that brought the total to just under $700. Breakfast: For the entire 6 days our food was cold like it has been sitting out all day and we woke up pretty earlier to eat breakfast. The coffee was also cold and we waited an hour to receive our food. It was not a buffet style, it was served to us on little plates and we were not able to pick what we wanted because they did not have the items on the menu. Hotel staff: Cleaning crew was great and made sure we had everything we needed for our rooms and to make sure we were comfortable. Front desk personnel could give a crap about the safety of their hotel guests, and did not care if you made a suggestion about the food or anything we needed. There is a guy in a blue shirt and I am confused on what his job is because every consults with him about everything and he also helps out with breakfast sometimes but he may be the maintenance manager (idk). Room: Our room was actually pretty comfortable thank God. But, we were literally on the first floor as soon as you walk in and open the door. We inquired about an upgrade because we were here for 6 nights and we were told to try tomorrow morning. The water was burning hot and unbearable so we called maintenance and the problem did not get fixed. Granted our room was clean which is why I gave the hotel 3 stars. Hotel: Great location! Everyday we came back to our hotel to random people that were not staying at the hotel sitting on the front porch yelling at the people walking by. It was disgusting with cigarette and blunt guts everywhere. Table and chairs were dirty. Random people entered the hotel to utilize the bathroom and bar. It was very uncomfortable and sketchy walking into the hotel. The hotel managers did not say anything or remove the guests from the front of the hotel. Overall, the hotel managers and the personnel above them need to make a lot of changes, and learn a little hospitality as they are all in the hospitality business. I think my 3 stars is very generous giving our experience and the things we have faced during our stay.

Yelp
I would say that this hotel was fantastic. Very clean, very professional staff, and a great Energy. I would like to give a reference to Francisco who is the manager For being so willing to help me to plan this vacation and going over and beyond with a level of service that made me feel comfortable booking the reservation. He was a fantastic example of great customer service and the way that the hospitality industry should treat guest. I did appreciate that and he should be recognized. The room that I was in was a room 401 which was Tara sweet and I would highly recommend it, but I can't speak for all the other state rooms cause I haven't had a chance to experience them. I would recommend the state room in this hotel to anyone looking for a great experience here in Miami as I am a local that's always looking to vacation and relax. 5/5

Yelp
Terrible customer service - their reservations department has an agent named Lucy who should be working in a morgue instead of in reservations where people are alive. She clearly doesn't know the meaning of hospitality. Sometimes, it isn't the things you say but the way. If you're looking for a hospitable attitude, dont go here. Look at their instagram posts. I'm not the only one. Stay away from this place unless you like being treated like dirt.

Yelp
In October I was stranded in Miami after my honeymoon, during the southwest flight cancelation debacle. I booked with this hotel after my flight was canceled and then TEN MINUTES LATER southwest contacted me saying they found me a flight home. The hotel refused to refund me. They took $300 of my money for a booking that was made 10 minutes before. The reason I'm only writing this review now is that I tried to dispute the charge with my bank after this happened and just today the claim was denied. I am a business owner and sometimes charges get disputed and usually they side with the client. The fact that this hotel was so hard pressed on stealing my money, during my honeymoon...Shame on them. Shame on them. Utter trash. No empathy. Rude employees, heartless even.

Yelp
Reasonably priced in a prime location. When trying to find a relatively inexpensive hotel near the ocean at South Beach, The President looked like a decent option. Although some reviews are critical, overall, I had a great experience here. For starters, the hotel could not be in a better location. You are just two blocks from the beach and a few blocks from bars, clubs, restaurants and parking. With your stay, two free cocktails are offered during happy hour, so take that as an opportunity to get the fun started. Continental breakfast is also served in the morning, which you can eat inside or outside on the patio overlooking the bustling street. The room was simple, but very comfortable. The vibrant, green backdrop behind the bed and chandelier was a nice touch. The shower had dual heads (traditional and straight-down), which was also a plus. The only thing holding me back from giving 5-stars was the service. The front desk was a bit slow. On multiple occasions, the attendant seemed flustered, even though it wasn't crazy busy on a Monday/Tuesday morning. As I waited in line once, a bar hop literally pushed me out of the way without excusing himself. Aside from that, I really enjoyed my stay here. Given the price and location, I would definitely consider coming back!

Yelp
This place looks very cute on the website. But FYI that huge gorgeous pool on their website is a lie! That is not their pool. Their pool is beyond small, which would've been fine if I hadn't had the expectation of the pool they feature so prominently on their website. The elevator, and I mean just the one they have. Is beyond tiny and it is not unusual to wait ten minutes for it to arrive. I ended up walking the 65 steps to the 4th floor every single time and almost always beat my husband who waited for the elevator. By the way, anything more than 3 people in the elevator is seriously pushing it. Now they charge something called a resort fee every night. Which I find beyond confusing. This is the exact opposite of a resort. And lastly, I showered just ONE time on my trip because of the showers here. The pressure is NON-EXISTENT and there is no Hot water. If you love freezing showers you should be fine. The front desk is a one man show. More lines to wait on. Check in was a disaster. They assured us our room would be ready at 3 and it was not. Finally, none of the employees were nice or personable one told me to "calm down m'am" when I just asked him a question. I 10/10 will not be coming back here ever.

Yelp
Room - we stayed at the building next door, not the main hotel building which was disappointing because the building next door seems a bit dated on the outside. the room we got was tiny but very clean. There was a safe and mini-fridge. The walls are a bit thin as you can hear your neighbor coming and going when the door slams. Service - The room was cleaned every day but they did not restock toiletries every day, which annoyed me because I ran out of shampoo after the first day (I have long hair!). I had to request more. Other than that check in was quick and they provide beach towels for free. They also provide a complimentary buffet breakfast which I thought was pretty decent and it included fresh squeezed orange juice! That really made my morning. Oh they also provide a complimentary drink for each person but we didn't end up using them as we missed the time range required to use them. Location - perfect location. Walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. Note! If you drive, be prepared to pay for parking, which is not cheap. There is a parking garage on 13th street which is about $1 per hour with a max of $20 and that was the closest best price we found that was walking distance. Price - we ended up paying about $150 per night (that's including a $20 resort fee per night, which luckily I had already read about on reviews so I wasn't unpleasantly surprised). I thought it was a good deal even with the resort fee as my main preferences were met and more. I would stay here again.

Yelp
This review is SOLELY for the AMAZING bartender Micheal! He was so polite, gave us exactly what we wanted, and was extremely knowledgeable about every question we asked. Also the drinks were AMAZING! He made them so perfectly like have you ever been able to taste the alcohol but NOT taste it at the same time?! He literally makes it to where you only taste the GOOD parts of the alcohol lol well anyways THANKS MICHEAL!!!

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel, in room 317, for 2 days and 2 nights and have learned a lot about it. Overall the hotel is nice, you can tell they've renovated it from a past hotel, and it has enough quirks to bring us back! Here are the good things: - Checking in comes with two free bar drinks - They have complimentary breakfast, not a lot though - A doorman is always ready to help - Tons of seating outside on the front patio - There is a secret seating area out back to hang out - The decor is nice and the staff are even better Here are the things to keep in mind: - Spanish is the main language so be ready for that - Overall nice but some things are dirty or broken - They say restaurant but that is around the corner and on the backside of the hotel (no alley walk through) - Some of the hotel rooms are in a separate building - The walls are super thin so go to bed early All in all, definitely would recommend, it's very nice and a good place to stay, just keep in mind the things above! Earns a solid 3/5 stars.

Yelp
On Saturday morning we returned from a night out at around 3:30 AM. we come to soon find out the elevator to get inside our building was broken. We then attempted to use the stairwell by climbing to the 4th floor to find out the stairwell door was locked. We then tried every other stairwell door and entrance. After we learned there was no way of getting to our room, we called for help. After being hung up on the first time, the man working at the desk told us to come to the lobby. We then did the exact same process, this time with the man, of trying the broken elevator, and him trying every door way possible. It was then when he informed us that there was nothing he can do to get us inside. Now it's about 4:30 Am and we have 4 girls, one as young as 19 being stranded in a state 2000 miles away from home in club clothes with no access to our medicine, money, or belongings. We ushered the man to keep tying to call his manager because we refused to take the hotel room offered to us in the mean time (this room would be at a different hotel 5 minutes away). We didn't get access to our room until around 5:45 AM. After paying $1500 with hidden fees upon arrival this was just the worst thing to happen. We paid extra for a balcony which door wouldn't open. And for a hotel who's management refused to meet me in person and speak to me about this incident. How is there no management for an entire 3 days? I would appreciate compensation for our incredibly dangerous experience. This hotel was abysmal.

Yelp
This hotel is literally located one block away from the beach which is super convenient. There are also many restaurants and a pharmacy right down the block. From start to finish, my friend and I were treated like royalty. Our check in went smoothly and Henry gave us 2 beach towels and 2 water bottles. He was very friendly and polite. We were given access to the pool before our check in time which was lovely. The room itself was beautiful, it had a beach wallpaper equipped with a modern tv and a very large bathroom. They provided us with one welcome drink on the house which I thought was a big plus. They provided breakfast to us every morning we stayed for them. The coffee was strong and tasty. When it was time to check out, we were still given access to the pool and Dario allowed us leave our bags in the closet until our Uber picked us up to take us to the airport. The only complaint I have is the maintenance of the pool area. It could be a little more modern with newer pool chairs and umbrellas. The pool itself was missing some tiles which can be dangerous. However overall a very positive experience.

Yelp
David and Fernando were the SWEETEST PEOPLE EVER & so accommodating. My trip was really stressful at first but when my group and I came to the hotel, David was so nice and super friendly which completely changed our moods around because of this friendly and fun environment. Fernando always has a smile on his face and was so friendly too! He opened the door for everyone and helped us with our bags. I just loved the hotel! Every time my friends and I entered the lobby during the day it was so nice to see their friendly faces.

Yelp
would not recommend or trust if you booked via 3rd party app/site. Does not honor prepaid, confirmed reservations. Minimal management or leadership who can problem solve in the evenings. Unconcerned with current misrepresentation on apps. My party of 8 was left was left with NO rooms after prepaying for stay. Hotel unwilling to help with alternate accommodation. 3 weeks later, management still has not responded to my emailed concerns nor has made any effort to show any concern or remorse or reservation mishap. AVOID IF YOU CAN or VERIFY AVAILABILITY BEFORE BOOKING A STAY.

Yelp
No parking, long wait to check in ( 30 mins wait), poor customer service. They have "free breakfast" but they make you wait for 15 mins to get seated and also 30-40 to order just because they are "busy." Even though they can't take care of the guests who are already seated, they still clean up tables and welcome new guests. If you talk to the servers, they will ignore. Worst customer service i have ever seen. Hotel's priority should be its hospitality. But instead, they will waste your time and they don't even care. After you book a room, they are gonna charge you for a resort fee which was not on the reservation tables. When you go to sleep, A LOT of noise will disturb you, especially its AC. I would rather pay extra $50 to get a better hotel. I would not come back. EVER

Yelp
I stayed in this hotel overnight and I will definitely be returning on my future south beach vacations. The location is on Collins which is is near many places of business. You can do some shopping and spend a nice time at the local bars. The beach is about two blocks away. Guests can borrow towels from the hotel to use at the beach. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. We checked in and took advantage of the valet parking that that hotel offers. We did not have to worry about looking for parking. When we left the next day, out car was brought to the hotel front steps with no issues. The hotel room I booked was very clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. The bathroom was also clean and had all the necessary toiletries. The hotel offers free breakfast and a free complementary drink at the bar. The breakfast was also good. They offered a variety of hot foods.

Yelp
We got this room off Air Bnb and it's been a mess from the start. Starting with the checking in taking over 30 minutes, I realize they're busy, but more than one person running the desk would have helped immensely. Next, there's a $28 fee that's not included on the booking through Air bnb that you must pay when you get here. The reservation was for 3 of us, but you could only get two beach towels and 2 breakfasts. Shockingly we did get 3 drink tickets that was part of the $28 dollar fee. Later we realized we needed to get back in the car so we had to go visit the valet. It took about 30 mins to get the car back, also we were told to call the front desk to get the car and we called 5 times, each time was busy so we finally gave up and just went down there. While waiting for food delivery we were asked multiple times if we wanted to buy various drugs such as Molly. The toilet ran all night would not stop. And the windows are not insulated well we could hear all the noise on the main road. Overall, you get what you pay for this was the cheapest hotel in the area. I would not recommend and I will not be back.

Yelp
The room was okay nothing special, what got me was the free breakfast (old sausage, and eggs) and the two free drinks which started at 4pm. I got there early because my flight was coming up and when I asked I was told the bartender quit that day so there was nothing they could do to get me my two (included) drinks. All I asked was for a beer in the cooler which one of the workers could have easily got for me but they insisted nobody could get it for me because the bartender quit. All I got from this place was a shitty breakfast and a decent room. Not worth the money stay somewhere that offers what they sold you.
